I love it..I have had no problems I had already had videos waiting to sync onto ipod and bammm...like a charm ...no problems....
the ipod itself has impressed everyone at work some saying the "tv" looks better than theres at home..we have been watching full length movies and tv shows...
I still even have the plastic film apple placed on ...I have the invisishield just waiting for a block of time to apply also planning on using the agent 18 when that is available
using pqdvd with ease no audio dissyncing...

Joy I did the trial of the pqdvd and liked it and then I bought the software, I wanted to avoid the headaches with the other stuff...my only problem now is what to load on to the ipod....we were watching The Incredibles and Robots on for some diversion and it was fun, even had popcorn ....
Chris, yes it's one of the best moves I have made, believe me I work in a cardiovascular icu and when there has been down time it helps keep the edge off.
the only drawback has been before I had a white clickwheel docking to the portable Altec lansing but with the black vpod docked on it just doesn't seem right, at home it looks great with my Bose wave(graphite) and I have the white bose dock in the bathroom(for those shower tunes)that I will keep dedicated for the click wheel.

I have bough an ipod 4g 32g since to days and the headphones come with out the volume control and the microphone, but I read in some websites that the new ipod 4g comes with headphones that have volume control and the microphone. So, I terend back to apple store and they exchange my ipod because the selar said that the new ipod 4g comes with headphones that have volume control and the microphone, but when I opened my new one, I found that I have the headphones with out the volume control and the microphone. So, what is the problem? Who should I believe? I'm very sad.

I am very disappointed with the new ipod touch

So apple adds all of this new stuff to the iphone 4s, dual core a5 chip, all new 8MP camera and optics, and siri. Yay, every iphone customer is happy. This is what you added to the new ipod touch, wait its not new, its the 4th generation with the option of having it in white. Whoop-de-do, you added white to it, besides that you didn't add anything new to it. You have pretty much ditched the ipod touch in my opinion. You have greatly disappointed me apple...

What I would really like to see in the next gen Touch is 3G or 4G wireless.
Refillable usage, just like the iPad. Don't want the "contract" requirements
of iPhone. Even if you do by an unlocked iPhone, you can only get
2 year contract service for data, oh yeah and have to get voice as well.
I just want wireless data access in my pocket, and the Touch with 3G/4G
would fit that bill nicely!

I backed up my new iPod touch with data from my old one. This seems to have erased all the new apps that came with the new iPod. What do I do now?

I got a new iPod Touch today. I wanted to transfer all my apps and data over to the new iPod from my old one, so I restored it from my old one. Unfortunately, it seems to have erased the new apps that come with the latest iPod. What do I do to get the back?

Maybe I'm confusing apps with function. I was looking at the features on Apple's site, and it showed Voice Control, Air Print, Air Play, that sort of thing.

Bose headsets appear incompatible with the new iPod touch

My old iPod lasted for about 28 months then lost its ability to maintain battery life, otherwise it worked perfectly traveling around the world a few times. Also the Bose headsets worked perfectly. last week I got a replacement iPod and i was really looking forward to using it. I plugged my Bose headsets in and it was terrible the sound went from loud to soft continually. I then took the device back to Apple today and upgraded to a new 32 GB iPod... downloaded all my music and had the exact same problem with my Bose headsets again. The Apple headset worked perfectly, but I prefer the fit and sound of the Bose headsets, but they don't work, there is the continual loud and soft sound. When moving the IPod or lifting it up the sound cuts out or plays loud and soft.
I guess new is not always better.

The Apple headsets work perfectly. My Bose headsets work perfectly when I plug them into my computer but not with the iPod.

Disc utilities fail with the new iPod Classic

Like with any HD based device, I always perform regular checks and maintenance on it. I frequently check my daughter's iPod Mini and repair the directory, if needed, and occasionally defrag when required. However, attempting to just check the directory structure, or view possible fragmentation without even starting the defrag process with the Classic, causes TTP 4.5.3 to crash, DriveGenius to report:
"Read error whilst trying to read the Wrapper Master Directory Block" and also tell me that the volume is not HFS+.
I don't understand why I'm not able to work with this iPod in the same way I do with my daughter's. Can anyone help?

The iPod works and behaves perfectly. I'm really worried now.

Has the sound quality improved with the new ipods?

i have a new 80 gig ipod that sounds much better then the one i bought 3 years ago.
did apple improve the sound quality?

The audio quality has improved as Apple have been using different processors in the newer 5G iPods. I have noticed an increase in quality, however, a lot of people have also said the quality has deteriorated but I believe its up to the individuals perspective.

A few questions for people with the new ipod

1. does it scratch easily?
2. is there any other way to put video on it (instead of quicktime)?
3. which is better the white or the black?
4. can you take video off it. (use it as an external hard drive for video. or is it like music where you need to download a program to remove the video? if so what program?)

1. yes so they say (had for a week now and no problems yet. I have the white one.)
2. use hand brake or pspware.
handbrake for video_ts files and pspware for all other files.
3. white see less scratches (think of a car)
4.once you go through itunes you have to use a 3rd party program, have not tried any with the video part yet.
