Hi...i am having a very difficult time. I hadn't used my 2GB 1st Gen Nano in a while and it is requesting a 4 digit code. Is the code factory set? and how do I reset this nano?

No, someone set this code on your iPod. Restore the iPod in iTunes and it will clear out the password request.

You no longer need the 4 digit code in iTunes 11.
iTunes (10.0.1 or later)

iTunes 11 or newer: Turn on Home Sharing in iTunes by going to File > Home Sharing> Turn on Home Sharing.

Open the Remote app (software version 2.0 or later) on your mobile device.
Turn on Home Sharing in the Remote Settings screen. Make sure to sign into the same Home Sharing account you used to sign in to from iTunes on your computer.
Once Home sharing is enabled for both your computer and your mobile device, Remote app will be be able to view and control audio and video playback in your iTunes library.

I have (sorry forgot to add that). I was switched around and finally I was told I would be put through to a supervisor but after being on hold for about 10 minutes the phone went dead, I did not lose connection so I do not know if I was hung up on or there was some technical difficulty. I called again yesterday and did in fact speak with a supervisor for Account Security but he told me he did not know why it was happening and put me through to a different number but that ended up not being any helpful either. The 5 digit code is every time different. That does not matter. Just integrate every device into your network.
You can connect many computers to Apple TV but syncronisation works exactly with one computer. That's why I use "streaming". But you can sync one computer, then another, and so on. The content on your Apple TV is the content from your computer that has synced last. But you can not mix it.
The new Apple TV has no syncronisation. Everything is streamed,

You might also try removing all gmail passwords from your keychain in Keychain Access. Then connect again and enter the password code given by Google.
