4 month old iPhone 4 been crashing a lot lately...
I started noticing a lot of apps start crashing a lot since last week...its wierd...all apps updated and iphone has latest ios 4.2.1...reset everything...still same
...reset everything...
What does this mean?

Restore as new, i.e. without backup

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...

Also consider Deleting any Apps you have Purchased / Downloaded but you now never use...

Goto... Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies and Data. -
It does happen when I have multiple tabs open, but I generally have a LOT of tabs open so this is not new behavior from my browsing, Firefox is just not handling it anymore. All of this started with the 2nd-to-last Firefox update -- I refuse to do the new update because I'll lose an invaluable --to me-- add-on, ljlogin
Are you sure the multi-links icon on the bottom bar of your firefox window is enabled (ie not greyed out)?

I have a six months old iPhone 5s that I use and have to use for work purposes, I have for a approximate battery life of seven or eight hours.
I went to the Genius Bar on five occasions and did not receive substantial help. I was told that I would have some applications crashing in the background but was unable to be told which ones they were. The phone is still on the warranty, but it's Apple tells me that it is not the hardware but my usage. I compared it to some of my colleagues and none of them has a battery problem like I do. I feel like I am left with a product that is not stand up to its specifications, and as a customer being totally left alone with a smart phone that does not even last through a workday. Any suggestions how to get through to Apple with this?? I was always very impressed with Apple's customer service and care up until now, obviously. Now Im ready to jump ship...Thought it had worked but soon found out it had not.
after further days of trying finally, solved it for me Yesterday.
turned off notifications when locked, and bingo, wow.
i have not turned off iCloud but location services are also off.
best thing to do I found was keep checking your usage, settings, general, usage, and flip down to bottom, if the standby and usage are similar there is a problem, if there is a big difference then all is ok. Just keep turning things off and on until the difference is very apparent.
something on my phone was keeping the phone alive even when turned off, and I think this was the phone repeatedly trying to update continually.
to me this is definitely down to the iOS, my wife has exactly same phone and iOS but hers doesn't have any problem and the battery lasts for days.
the guy at the Genius Bar told me to restore the phone via iTunes, not iCloud. This is because iCloud remembers the exact info from your phone and simply reinstates it when you restore, and this includes the iOS too.
when I get home from holidays that's what I'll do, or wait for iOS 8 in few weeks. But I'm so pleased I finally made it work, I was beginning to think ditch the phone and buy Samsung.

You bought a used iPhone. Amazon is not an authorized supplier of iPhones, nor are any of the 3rd parties that sell iPhones there.
You can make an appointment at the genius bar and have it looked at.
If you are very very lucky, it is still under warranty and it wasn't opened or otherwise tampered with before you bought it. In which case, Apple will replace it under warranty.
If it's not under warranty, they will replace it for $199.
If it has been opened or tampered with, they won't touch it. -
My 2 month old IPhone started randomly turning on Voice Command and calls people and turns on the IPod. It freezes up and won't let me push the home button. Any suggestions?
OK, I reset it several times and it worked fine all day yesterday. Today when I turned on the bluetooth it went back to the same problem. Voice Control comes on and the home button won't work at all. I have gone through the reset many times and it isn't working. How do I restore firmware as you suggested?

Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.
If that doesn't help, then restore the iPhone to the factory settings. -
My 4 month old iPhone 5s stopped charging, original cable with adapter works fine on other iphones.
I have tried restarting iPhone while its connected to my macbook pro and when it restarts, I see it starts charging again.
After this, when I plug phone to wall outlet, it works perfectly and charges but next day again it stops charging.Will Apple cover this under warranty if the port is damaged due to unknown reasons as its under 1 yr warranty?
Also, I am out of USA now and would like to know if I can send it through a friend and get it checked out by Apple tech...
Never has any iPhones of all generations that I owned gave such problem. -
The voice of everyone i speak to on my 2 month old iphone 4s sounds like a robot,do i need a new phone.
Try a reset... press the home and sleep/lock buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

tried to update my 14 months old iphone 5 with update ios 8 pressed to start and all ive got is a symbol of the iTunes pic and a USB lead pointing towards it and nothing else for twenty four hours
You are in recovery mode. Restore it through iTunes on your computer.

How long it takes depends partially on your bank. Once they release it, it could take several days for the authorization to roll off of your account. It is generally not a problem unless you're using a debit card, which will lock the funds in your checking account and make them unavailable, which I presume you did or you wouldn't be worried about it.
This is not unique to Apple. That's a problem when using debit cards for any purchase. Several years ago, when gas prices spiked to $4 a gallon here, gas stations would routinely authorize and hold upwards of $100 every time you tried to pay at the pump. Created some major headaches for the working stiffs just trying to get to their jobs and pay the bills. -

Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds). No data will be lost.
Restore: Connect your iPhone to iTunes on your computer, backup, and then select Restore to Factory.
