4 Node Q-Master Cluster issue with Nodes stuck at "Waiting"

I have a 4 node QMaster cluster configured no problem, One Cluster Controller and 3 Service nodes. When i export a project from FCP to compressor i can assign the cluster no problem. Then the only node that starts to process is the cluster controller, The service nodes stay at Waiting.... I f i make any other service node the Cluster controller then THAT node starts to process and the 3 Service nodes are stuck at waiting.
I can mount the cluster storage on all nodes and i am able to read/write to that volume.
The source material (Firewire drive) is also mounted on all nodes.
The setup is a new MB-PRO running FCP 5.0 and Compressor 2.0, QMaster 2.0 , the cluster nodes are all 1ghz G4's
Any ideas?

I don't recommend submitting to a cluster directly from the timeline. Instead, export a QT referance movie, and submit that to the cluster via compressor using a setting that has 'allow job segmenting' checked. If that is not checked, then you are telling Qmaster to only let one machine work on that file - this is recommended for high quality, multi-pass VBR Mpeg2 jobs because of how multi-pass and VBR work...
If you submit from outside FCP, but you are doing multi-pass VBR, you can send your cluster 4 jobs that will all happen at the same time tho.
Basically, to use all the nodes, it needs to have the whole file and be allowed to break it into segments, and send thos segments to the nodes. when you export off the time line, fcp sends the data to compressor frame at a time, not as a whole file, thus, no segmenting.

Issues with installing upgrades launchpad waiting...

I have just upgraded my iMac to Yosemite and i have been in the process of upgrading other software.
The icon for iPhoto in the doc appeared with a crossed out circle when i tried to access and advised that a new version was available.
As i normally would i clicked on the link to the app store and agreed for the new software to be installed, this was now a few days ago, the icon in my doc is still crossed out i have looked in launchpad and the icon in there is showing as opaque and with a status of waiting... in the App Store it is showing a status of installing. there seems to be no options to 'kickstar' the installation/download.
In addition i can see that pages and Keynote also have the status of waiting however I can find the new version of them in finder but not iPhoto.
Does anyone have any idea on what i can do, not being very technical with my iMac I don't really know where to start?
If it helps its an early 2009 iMac 24inch running Yosemite 10.10.12.66GHz Processor and 4GB memory.

Annoyingly after posing this i had to shut down my mac and 5 minutes after restarting, i retried the install and everything started working, annoyingly this wasn't the first restart (of both system and process) since i had discovered the problem so i don't know why it started working.

Custom Master Page issue with Document Set Libraries

Details: Publishing site using SharePoint 2013. The SharePoint is on my company's servers.
Have a custom Master page that has a navigation banner (built with HTML/CSS/javascript). The site has it applied successfully to the "Site Master Page" but when I also apply it to the "System Master Page", the libraries that have
Document Set type content do not show the files within. We'd like to be successful in applying to the "System Master Page" as that allows the banner to show when an actual library is accessed. Any suggestions, please?

roll-out and implementation of the new site. Going forward, I've got lots to learn and find out, I've already heard that there's a desire to really redesign the master page for the site and subsites, way beyond the little CSS customization I did. Fun.
If you've got a little time though, perhaps you can provide some explanation. If not, no problem.
On step 6, when I do as you detail, click the System Master Page and reset all the subsites, it seems to work fine with my custom master page. If I do that with the Site Master Page settings, my custom page causes the redirect issue in the subsites again.
This is whether I do the Site Master Page by itself, or in conjunction with the System Master Page settings. If I revert back to the Seattle master page in the Site Master Page settings and my custom pate in the System Master Page, the issue goes away again.
It is completely messing with my head, trying to figure out why that would be, and this is all beside trying to figure out why adding the one little CSS reference to the Seattle master to create my master page breaks things (sometimes!).
Just fyi, what I've ended up with for now is pulling my custom master page out of the system and using the Alternate CSS URL to add my custom CSS to the Seattle master page on the sites. As I thought about all this, I decided I didn't want to leave the breakable
custom page out there for some unsuspecting site manager to accidentally pick and get everyone screaming about the broken sites.

Server 2012 SMB 3.0 file cluster issues with Streaming media services 2008 R2

So I have a file server setup with the always available feature turned off on this brand new cluster. Everything seems to function normally and I can hit files from the shares no problem.
My issue I built a brand new 2008 R2 machine and created an on-demand publishing point to point to my 2012 file share cluster. I created a windows account for my windows media service to run as and applied read only to my video share. Media services see
the video files on the server in the GUI so I know its got connectivity, but when I go to test locally or externally it will not play the stream at all. It complains of access even know I know that is not the issue. I have verified the setup and the ACL
stuff is turned off on both the root and the publishing point. I can login to the Media server as my service account and play files from the share no problem. IIS media services can stream the files with no problem and yeah everything seems more like something
possibly with SMB 3.0 and something in media services.
I have a country rule where my data is not allowed in other countries so I have multiple video services on a domain with tunnels and what not my US Streaming services is working great but has a server 2008 R2 file cluster server. If I take that one to my
out of the country publishing point to test it streams great as they use the same services account. If I take my out of the country file share to the US I get the same result just will not work. I have poke prodded and banged my head and since I get this result
I have concluded it must be something with the new security of SMB 3.0.
Does anyone have this working or tested? Also I am using the exact same video file to test all of this. Or is there secret I missed to either make smb 3.0 even more compatible or make streaming services play nice.
Anything helps please let me know.

I'd recommend calling in for support on this one. Things aren't adding up. Probably the most useful thing to do would be to do a network trace of the WMS server connecting to the remote server over SMB.

Issue with Commit Work and Wait.

None of the programs are working in my system which are calling BAPI BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.
On COMMIT WORK AND WAIT statement, the process is going into indefinite loop. Everything was fine till last Thursday and there are no updates or patch level change or notes applied in the system.
Please advice.

Normally it's much easier to get help if you try to be as detailed as possible when explaining the problem and what exactly you have tried. No offense, but tried everything most likely translates into almost everything...
Some information/checks I'd be looking for:
<ul style="list-style:square!important">
<li>What functions are (or coding is) involved? Are they all standard or custom?</li>
<li>Have you tried update debugging and/or the usual traces (runtime analysis, SQL trace, etc.)?</li>
<li>What do you see in the process overview?</li>
<li>What about system log, developer trace, database logs/alerts, etc.?</li>
</ul>
Obviously my list is much too short and incomplete - yours must be longer. If you share your results (including your exchange with SAP) I suspect you have a better chance (though of course no guarantee) of somebody providing a valuable clue.
Not sure if it's just me, but the part that sounds so odd and suspicious is that you only mention commits via BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT. As this is just a wrapper around a COMMIT WORK I'm tempted to think it's the functionality that's invoked before (i.e. linked to the registered update functions/modules). Without any additional knowledge though, my first shot was for general update problems (which you ruled out).

Issue with lockscreen stuck displaying homescreen wallpaper iOS 8.2 iphone 5

By sliding the lockscreen in a quick random way, it displays the homescreen wallpaper whe still on the lockscreen. The time is still there and so is the slide to unlock but it stops me from sliding the screen and getting through. I remember this issue on iPads a while back but for the first time ever I have had this problem on my iPhone 5 since iOS 8.2 about 3 times a day. Anything I can do to stop this from happening? Most of the time to get out I just do a hard reset (home button and lock button held down)

I have the exact same issue, I already contacted Apple support and I am waiting for a response. If I take a screenshot, the border is not in the picture, so it is clearly a display issue.

Hi,
Could you figure out why the event linkage is breaking when you make it Gen.Task? I think, there is some problem in your wflow template. May be do a Syntax Check in the testing environment. If that time, some error happens, then by the System Defaults in the Event linkage SWETYPV, it will deactivate the linkage.
I don't think this has got anything to do with you making TS as Gen.Task. Did you see the even trace to see what's the error for linkage breaking ?
More info. would help in identifying the issue.

Issues with Lion recognizing keyboard and mouse functions

Hello everyone,
I have read that there were issues with Lion so I waited for months before I upgraded hoping that there would be enough complaints to warrant a fix from the tech lords. I decided to finally upgrade and the issues with incompatible software came to fruition. Fortunately I don't need to upgrade anytime soon but here's my real issue. I have a logitech mouse and keyboard and Lion won't recognize the keyboard, even with product upgrade. Also, the right click button is not functioning the way it should. I can no longer right click and copy and paster anymore. Being a long time mac head from the 80s I know there are always issues but I have never experienced this many. Any suggestions?

I had the same setup with the apple BT keyboard and the V270 mouse. I also work with the lid closed and with an external monitor (I bet that you are also using airport)! Both devices seem to intermittently loose connection, and the mouse cursor doesn't track very well. Looking through postings it seems that airport interferes with BT, and the behavior I've seen seems to support this. I stopped using the mouse because I couldn't get it to work adequately. I'v also tried using BT headphones (Motorola HT820) which at best the sound drops out intermittently, and at worse crashes OS X. I'm thinking that BT on the Macbook Pro just marginally works... I'd be curious if you ever had any success with your setup!

Issue with cookies in DMZ multi node envt

We are facing the following issue at our client site:
The client has implemented iStore and iSupport on top of the existing Oracle Applications (11.5.10 ).
For these two modules they have added the DMZ node for their customers to make istore order and to use isupport.
And for the other internal users who use the other modules they have the internal node. Both the internal and external nodes have different domain name.
They also have some internal users having access to their istore and isupport as well as other module access. So they access the apps both from the external and internal nodes.
The issue is, that when the user log-on to istore/isupport thru the external node (eccp.company.com domain).
Once they are in istore/isupport pages, without log-off or closing the browser, if the user goes to the internal node url AppsLocalLogin.jsp (prodapp01.company.com) on the same browser with a difft user name, he gets the resp. of the user who had logged thru the external node on the home page with the LAF changes for iStore and iSupport. But it will not allow them to navigate further. So the users wont see their regular home page when they logon to the internal node in this case. This might be because the home page (AppsLocalLogin) doesn’t associate the correct cookie when the user log-on thru the internal node on the same browser (The browser has both the cookies).
How to solve this issue? Is there any set-up/patch available for this scenario? Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.5.0) - Issue with starting Node Manager

Have anyone faced an issue with starting Node Manager in OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.5.0)? OS is 64 bit Linux, WebLogic is 10.3.5. I used the software-install method and followed by running config.sh. Everything completed successfully. I updated the catalog and rpd location in the FMW control screen.
To get it activated I bounced services and when I try to start Node Manager it gives below error --

I see the same issue reported in ML OBIEE 11g - Node manager fails to start upon upgrade [ID 1329442.1] and WebLogic Server: Node Manager Startup is Failing with java.io.IOException: Unsupported cypher suite [ID 1329260.1] I tried to modify commEnv.sh. But it didnt help me.
Please let me know if anyone have faced similar issue and what exactly did you do to resolve it.

Hi,
There are Two types of Cipher suites --- Certicom Cipher Suite and SunJSSE Equivalent Cipher Suite. And with Weblogic 10.3.5, you are using Sun JSSE Cipher Suite, and by default Node Manager uses the Certicom Cipher Suite.
In the nodemanager.properties, Add CipherSuite=SSL_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_RC4_40_MD5, save and restart Node Manager.

RAC issues with second node

We have two node rac setup. We are facing issues with the second node. if both node are up then application is not able to connect with the database. if the second node is down then application is able to connect.
What is the reason of this abnormal behaviour ?

PI 7.1 upgrade related issue (With removeContexts node function)

Hi all,
We have upgrade from PI 7.0 to 7.1, there was no changes done to the maps...but when we execute the old maps it give no value in the queue error: (this occurs during run time)...
But when I test the payload it executes fine...I have found and issue with remove context (the queue display in 7.0 is different than in 7.1)
It doesn't end with SUPPRESS context change...we have observe that the maps which has removeContext are failing...
Is there any OSS note on this issue...anyone faced this issue?
Any suggestions?

I have added the parameter to the init method of the Functions tab in our message mapping - retainlastValueofPreviousContext=true; according to the blog...but still the same error...
But, when I execute in the Test tab it works fine;
Any other suggestions or anyone who has faced this issue...we are on PI 7.1 SPS7

Very Strange Network Issue With Two Guests on 2012 R2 Hyper-V Failover Cluster

Hi all. We're having a odd issue with two guests on our 2012 R2 failover cluster.
In a nutshell, if we shutdown a particular server (I'll call it Server A) another totally different server (Server B) on the same node loses it's network connectivity to the domain. If we start server A back up, network connectivity returns on server B.
At first I thought server A might be running a service that was somehow linked to server B, so I decided to disable server A's NIC. Interestingly, that had no affect on server B's connectivity.
The next step I tried was pausing server A and again, no adverse affect on server B's connectivity.
Next step was to live migrate server A to another node. This action did
cause server B to lose its network connection.
One other clue is that if I ping server B from either of the Hyper-V hosts in the cluster, I never lose network connection to server B.
So I would suspect this is some network issue on the cluster, but I'm kind of at a loss where to go from here.
Has anyone seen this behavior before or does anyone have any troubleshooting suggestions I can try?

They are connecting to same virtual switch ?
First please run cluster validation to check if there is any error .
If it is ok , please try the following items for troubleshooting :
1. shutdown serverA serverB
2. then add another virtual NIC for serverB
3. start server B check if the issue happens to both "old" and "new" virtual NIC .
In addition , you can live migrate both A and B to another node , then try to live migrate A to the original node .
If the issue persists , I would suggest you to remove that virtual switch on both nodes then re-create them .

Issue with LCM while migrating planning application in the cluster Env.

Having issues with LCM while migrating the planning application in the cluster Env. In LCM we get below error and the application is up and running. Please let me know if anyone else has faced the same issue before in cluster environment. We have done migration using LCM on the single server and it works fine. It just that the cluster environment is an issue.
Error on Shared Service screen:
Post execution failed for - WebPlugin.importArtifacts.doImport. Unable to connect to "ApplicationName", ensure that the application is up and running.
Error on network:
“java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out”
ERROR - Zip error. The exception is -

First of all, if your environment for source and target are same then you will have all the users and groups in shared services, in that case you just have to provision the users for this new application so that your security will get migrated when you migrate the from the source application. If the environs are different, then you have to migrate the users and groups first and provision them before importing the security using LCM.
Coming back to the process of importing the artifacts in the target application using LCM, you have to place the migrated file in the @admin native directory in Oracle/Middleware/epmsystem1.
Open shared services console->File system and you will see the your file name under that.
Select the file and you will see all your exported artifacts. Select all if you want to do complete migration to target.
Follow the steps, select the target application to which you want to migrate and execute migration.
Open the application and you will see all your artifacts migrated to the target.
If you face any error during migration it will be seen in the migration report..
