403 Error Message on a website?

Hello,
I tried to access a website, and I received a 403 Error Message.
It said:
"Error 403
We're sorry, but we could not fulfill your request for / on this server.
You do not have permission to access this server. Before trying again, run anti-virus and anti-spyware software and remove any viruses and spyware from your computer."
It gives me the option to fix it myself, and then that link took me to this message:
"Your request was intercepted by Bad Behavior, security software which protects the Web site you visited from malicious activity, such as hackers, spam and viruses. We apologize for the inconvenience, but your request matched a profile of suspicious activity. This problem is usually quite easy to fix.
Your computer's IP address was determined to have recently sent spam or engaged in malicious activity as reported by the Project Honey Pot monitoring service. This means your computer is most likely infected with viruses or other malicious software. See below for more information.
This problem may be caused by viruses or spyware on your computer, or by malicious software that pretends to be anti-virus or anti-spyware software. Ensure that you have REAL anti-virus and anti-spyware software on your computer, that they are kept up-to-date, and that you have run a full system scan using each tool. Once your system is cleaned of viruses and spyware, please try your request again.
The free Microsoft Security Essentials provides reasonable protection against a wide variety of malicious software.
If the above suggestions fail to resolve the problem, click Back and contact the e-mail address you were given for further assistance."
Then the contact email address was invalid!
The website is a valid teen site, nothing shady, and I haven't participated in any malicious activity that I know of!
Please help, I'm running Tiger 10.4.11 on a Macbook, using Firefox.
Thanks,
Jen

  • Http 403 error message when connecting to WRT120n router

I recently upgraded to the WRT120n router at home. I quickly connected my desktop computer, my wife's Mac and two Lenovos, but my son's HP Pavilion cannot access the Internet. It returns the http 403 error message. Windows (Vista) and Network Magic tell me the laptop is connected to the router and the Internet, but the browser does not work. Have tried IE, Chrome and Firefox - same result. Have also tried to connect with cable. Hooking up wirelessly with WPA, was no problem, but the browser is unable to access the Internet.
    Grateful for any help.

What is the ip address you are getting on the Vista Computer..?
Click Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Command Prompt...A black box will appear(Command Prompt)...In the Command Prompt window type ipconfig and press 'Enter'...Look for Wireless Network Connection IP Address , Subnet Mask and Default Gateway...
IP Address should be 192.168.1.x, Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway : 192.168.1.1 (assuming your router is 192.168.1.1)...
If you get the above mentioned IP Address, Subnet and Gateway Address then you should ping the Gateway, type ping 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...If it gives you request timed out then disable any firewalls, security softwares on the computer...
If you get 4 replies then type ping 4.2.2.2 and press Enter, if you get request timed out, then you need to upgrade your router's firmware...If you get 4 replies then type ping yahoo.com and press Enter...If you get replies for Yahoo then you should get the Internet after adjusting the browser settings...
Adjusting Browser Settings : Open an IE, click Tools >> Internet Options, then delete all files, cookies, history, forms...Goto "Connections", make sure Never Dial a Connection is checked, click on LAN Settings and make sure all the options are unchecked...Once you are done click on O.k...Close the IE and re-open it...
If yahoo times out then provide static DNS on your LAN Connection...
Click on the Start button >>> Settings >>> Control Panel >>>Network Connections- Right click on the icon for Wireless Network Connection and go to properties- On the 'General' tab select 'Internet Protocol TCP/IP' and click on the Properties button- Select 'Use the Following DNS Settings' Preferred DNS 4.2.2.2 Alternate DNS - 192.168.1.1>>Click on Ok button to Save and Click on "Close" on main Properties window...You should be able to go online...

Calendar schedule blank. All appts disappeared from 3g iphone calendar synced to yahoo. After Yahoo corrected error message on their website and I re-synced my iphone, calendar reappears but will not allow edit from iphone. I can't find settings within Yahoo or within my iphone to alter editing options.
How can I get access to edit and delete the Yahoo calendar from my iphone? I never schedule anything from the Yahoo webpage. All my appointments and reminders are scheduled from the iphone.
    iOS 4.2.1 (8C148a)

My Yahoo email account worked just fine on my iPhone 4S  for the last 2 months. Then this morning I started receiving the apple.imap.mail,yahoo error.  I tried all of the steps above in solving the yahoo email issue including numerous hard re-sets and deletions of my yahoo account settings without any success. So I gave up trying to use the default Yahoo setup option.  I added my Yahoo account back as an "other" type email account and then had the option to choose to set it up as a "POP" account instead of an IMAP type. I then just used the server settings recommended from Yahoo Help for a Yahoo Plus Email POP (or just google yahoo plus email pop settings). This works and I am back in business.
I'm not sure if this will work for yahoo mail classic accounts.
Frustrating that this issue seems to have been going on for quite awhile and Apple still as not made any acknowledgement of this issue or proposed a fix for those of us that can not resolve the issue with a reset.

My internet is fine, and I am not having any issues with Chrome or Safari on my OS X 10.6.3. however, I prefer Firefox for many reasons. I have already tried starting in Safe mode and reset everything to default, but made no change. Also reinstalled Firefox. Please advise. Thank you!

  • Can't get my website to load...get error message

I have built 3 websites in iweb. One of them is forwarded to an outside domain. I am having no problem accessing that website via the web. The other 2 however also keep getting forwarded to the outside domain. I think this is a simple fix but my tired old brain can't figure it out. I had bookmarked one of the websites @ http://web.mac.com/delaney303/donquadestudio/home.html....until last night I was able to access through the bookmark, but last night when I did that I got an error message that the website can't be found. Also i have no idea what the iweb address for the 3rd website is. The good news is that i have all of the website domains ....they are still there...they have not been deleted. Thanks for any help.

    Tom Gewecke wrote:
when i am given the option to "visit site now" for either the mazza or don quade I get taken to the www.robertdelaneyarts.com site on the web
Don't use the Visit Site Now button. It does not take you the right place (and that really doesn't matter either). Just make browser bookmarks for the urls you gave me and use those.
Normally I use bookmarks, to me it is just easier, but I couldn't find the mazza site to bookmark it and yesterday the donquade site bookmark stopped working and I got a .mac error message saying the page wasn't there ; probably for one of 3 reasons a) never published b) moved since published c) don't have .mac account I know I have a .mac account and the site has been published so I think somehow it is in the wrong place. I will quit using visit site now.
I want those websites to be found only by using the full iweb/.mac url because they aren't completed.
    That's the case now.
I now understand that very important difference and distinction, and I understand that i had the way they worked backwards in my mind.
when they are completed I will have them both forward to their own unique non .mac url.
No, you will forward different unique urls to these two .Mac sites.
    gotcha
To get rid of the misleading stuff at the bottom of iWeb and in the Visit Site Now button, try going to your .Mac Account Settings and getting rid of the stuff you did in the Personal Domain area. You are not using CNAME and thus you should have nothing entered in this area.
I started to do that at this screen:and got this message:
    Personal Domain
.Mac is configured to host your domain:
    www.robertdelaneyarts.com
If you entered the correct settings at your registrar more than 48 hours ago and your iWeb site still doesn't appear at your domain, try these troubleshooting tips....Personal Domain
So I selected to remove the domain and got this message
Are you sure you want to remove this domain?
If you remove this domain, your .Mac site will no longer be viewable at www.robertdelaneyarts.com
and now I am a big 'fraidy cat to remove it because I want people to be able to see it when they type in www.robertdelaneyarts. What am I missing...could I have just moved my domains somewhere and the computer can't find them? I think I have caused this problem and am still not sure what the next steps to follow are.
Thank you very much for your help and your patience.

  • Calendar and 403 error

Hello!  I have one item on my iCloud Calendar that is giving me constant 403 error messages.  It is just a single Calendar event, but unfortunately it is set to repeat every month into perpetuity.  Argh! I can't delete the item from any device or even by going onto iCloud.com, not can I alter it in any way.  I get the darned error message several times a day - basically whenever I have to interact with Calendar on my Mac. I can click Ignore and go on with things, as it doesn't affect my other Calendar items, but it is super annoying.  I also tried deleting Home>Library>Calendars, as suggested in similar previous posts, and rebooting, but nothing changed (and I did see my calendars being re-formed after doing this).  Any other suggestions for me?
    Thank you!
    - BH

    Step 1
You may be trying to access an invited event that you declined, or one that was rescheduled after you accepted it. The error message should give you a clue as to what it is. If the calendar is on iCloud, you can bring up the Calendar on the website and select
              Show Declined Events
from the popup menu with the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page. The declined events will appear in gray, and one of them should match what's shown the error message. [Credit for this solution to ASC member Psi.]
    Step 2
Follow the instructions in this support article.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")
