403 error when scanning to email

Hi,
I've seen others with this issue.  We used to be able to scan to email for months now, but today we receive an error saying "Server Connection: 403".  The printer is connected to the internet.  We have a 6520 printer.
We tried re-booting and unplugging everything already.  Please can someone help.
Thanks.

Hi Nancy_AMS,
I would like to help you with the Server Connection error you are experiencing. It sounds like you are using a scan to email app from the front panel of the printer, if this is true follow the following to resolve the issue.
1. Obtain your printer's IP address
a. This can be done by pressing the wireless icon on printer.
2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.
3. Select the network tab at the top of the page.
4. On the left select networking.
5. Select Network Address (IP)
6. Select Manual DNS Server
a. Manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8
b. Alternate DNS Server should read. 8.8.4.4
7. Select apply you might get a warning just select okay.
Let me know if this resolves the issue.

  • 403 error when trying send emails to hp

My HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One Printer - C311 will not retain my list of allowed users. In the eprint settings box, whenever I save them and close the browser, the list dosn't repopulate. Also when I check the efax enabler, it also cuts off once my browser is closed. I've reinstalled the software and all of that so whats next?? I'm on windows 7. 64 bits. I also get a 403 error when tryin g to send emails

    Hi,
Please perform the following and check
    1. Try to view the site in a different web browser to see if that's the issue. Normally, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari all display the website properly. Try one or two of those (other than the one you've been using) and it should do the trick.
    2. If that doesn't work, try resetting Internet Explorer's default settings by clicking "Tools" (on the top menu bar), "Internet Options" (usually at the bottom of that list), "Advanced" (far-right tab), and "Reset" (towards the bottom-right of that box). After resetting the defaults, try viewing the ePrint Settings area again.

  • 403 Error when scanning to emil

I am getting a 403 server message "cannot connect to server" when I try to scan to email from my HP 6520.  I have been scanning to email successfully for months and suddenly am receiving this error. I am connected to my wireless network. I have also unplugged and rebooted the router and the printer.  I am able to scan from the printer to my computer, however when I scan a 4x6 photo to the computer, it does not show full size.  I prefer to scan it to my home email address and save it to my computer that way.  I have downloaded and run the HP printer diagnostic, it says there is nothing wrong with my printer.  I just scanned a photo less than a week ago with no issues and now can't do anything. The only thing that changed since my last scan to email was my nephew had a playstation hooked up to the TV and used my wirelss router for the connection. I don't know why this would have changed anything on my printer, though.  Any advice on how to fix?

    Hi,
Double-check your preferred and alternate DNS server in the EWS.
Type only the numbers of your printer's IP address into a web browser and if you see information about your printer then you are successfully in the printer's embedded web server (EWS). You know how to do this but I thought I would include this just in case.
Select the "Network" tab and under the word Wireless on the left hand side you will see IPv4 if your printer is setup wirelessly.
Click on IPv4 and then highlight the circle to the right that says Manual IP. Next, select the gray button below that says "Suggest a Manual IP Address."  This will fill in most of the boxes for you to eliminate the risk of user error.  This will change your IP address so feel free to keep the new IP address or change the top row back to the first number you entered into the web browser to start with.
At the bottom of this page you have a preferred and alternate DNS server.  The preferred DNS server should say 8.8.8.8 and the alternate DNS server should say 8.8.4.4.
Reboot the printer with the power button after clicking "Apply" to help complete the process.  After doing so you should have connectivity to the server.  Press the ePrint button on the printer after the printer turns back on and let me know if you still have that error on your printer.

  • 403 error when loading WAP

I am getting a 403 error when loading WAP from the site https://localhost:30091.
It was working and suddenly stopped. How do I troubleshoot this issue ?

    Hi,
Do you use any proxy on the WAP server? If yes, please disable the proxy and try again.
Also, please check if there is any warning or error in the event viewer of the WAP server.
We can check the event of Azure Pack at Applications and Services Logs-->Microsoft-->WindowsAzurePack

  • 403 error when trying to access a previously uploaded document in App

I have 2 machines on one I am running WLS 10.3 with an admin server and a managed server called "dev" on a live box.
On the other, my dev environment I upgraded from 8.1 to 10.3 so it upgraded my server to have the admin server all in one i.e. deploy apps to that server too.
I have an app with a few entries that the deployment descriptor ( ejb-jar.xml) refers to a directory within the app, the directory is a location where files get uploaded to. It reads something like thisL
    ./app_name/web/uploads/document/
THe documents get uploaded to the correct location on both machines, but on the machine that has the managed server and admin server I cant actually view the documents - whih are viewed through a jsp....there is a Session Bean that creates a link to the document based on an id within the database(and not the actual filename itself), for retrieving the document, which is populated in a jsp. However in the Bean the directory is set like this:
    String docUploadDir = "/upload/document/"
so the link gets generated like this:
    www.mydomain.com/upload/document/?text=12345
This works on the upgraded WLS version where the domain got upgraded from 8.1 to 10.3, where the admin server bundled up as the apps server as well. However under the WLS 10.3 domain i created(which base location and domain names are the same as 8.1 version) I get a Forbidden 403 error when I try and view the documents.
Im assuming the forbidden comes about because I am trying to access a location on the machine that I shouldn't be allowed to. However where is the relative "docUploadDir" actually suppossed to exist?
    Thanks in advance!
    Paul

    Questions:
    - Did you set up a protected web realm?
    - When you click on the link to the realm, you get the block message?
It's a little unclear what you've done to configure the web server and what you did to get the message.

  • 403 error when registering proxy server (non-central AE)

    Hi all.
I'm getting 403 error when trying to register proxy server in my local non-central Adapter Engine. When listing the ProxyServer servlet available commands (http://host:port/ProxyServer/),  it says that "xi_jpr_register_bindings" security role is required, but my local UME has not that role.
    Thanks,
    Gari.

    Thanks a lot Prateek.
Your reply was very helpful because it works now. One of the configuration steps in the page says to use the Security Provider service of the Visual Administrator to verify that some security roles are assigned to the appropriate user groups. The Scurity Roles section (inside Security Provider service) in my Visual Administrator does not show the roles and groups directly. I had to navigate to ProxyServer and MessagingSystem components so that the roles and groups where visible to me and assign them to my user.
Should I see them into Security Roles section directly? The roles and groups are not visible from User Management Section.
    Thanks again.
    Gari.

  • Error when moving multiple emails from one account to another

I have an IMAP account for one of my emails. I have recently changed web hosting and so changed this to a POP account. I don't want to lose all my emails, which is what happened to another one of my accounts when the web hosting was changed. So have opened a new account on mail which is the POP one. I want move all my emails from the IMAP to the POP. I selected all and clicked move but only half went over, now everytime I try to do the remainder I get an error message just literally saying 'There was an error when trying to move 431 emails across' Or something like that. Why is this happening and is there another way of doing it? It's justw eird that half of them moved fine and the rest stayed.

Try Mail/Mailbox/Export Mailbox which will move the mailbox to your desktop. Then Mail/File/Import Mailbox which will put the e-mails in an Import Folder in On My Mac. That will save the e-mails for you.

  • Cannot log in to either Disqus or Livefyre since upgrade to 8.1. get 403 error when trying to contact Disqus support.

I cannot log into either Disqus or (it seems) Livefyre. When I attempted to submit a report to Disqus, I get a 403 error code. In Livefyre, when I make comments, they appear on my screen, but apparently not on anyone elses (repeated requests for a ping back from other commenters have gone unnoticed). Oh, version 18.0.1 I am set to receive cookies, and adblocker plus as well as ghostery are set to not block either. This problem started immediately after the v.18.0.1 upgrade was installed.

No, Firefox doesn't touch website accounts, so you don't need to re-register.

  • Windows DEP error when scanning in Acrobat Pro 9.2

    Hi--
I scan in Acrobat Pro using create docuemnt>from scanner, via a TWAIN driver.  I upgraded from 9.1.3 to 9.2 recently, last week sometime, and this is the first time I've tried to scan.  If I try to scan, I get an error that Windows DEP is closing the program (note: I don't know why the image below says 9.1, as the version is 9.2).  I triec the DEP settings from the defualt for essential windows programs and services to specifically excluding Acrobat 9.  I also repaired my Arcrobat 9 installation.  I have Windows XP SP3, no new Windows updates are available.  None of those things fixed the problem.  Help!

I started having this issue about a month ago and have done some systematic testing regarding this.  First some particulars:
OS = Windows XP SP3, all updates installed and current.
Scanner = RICOH IS330DC with TWAIN driver
Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.x and 9.2 (see S.O.E below for explanation)
Scanning operations were typicaly done through AA using the scanners "Native" interface.  MSOffice Document Scanning was also used.
    Sequence of Events:
Installed WXP aprox. June of 2008, have been installing all updates automaticaly
Installed AA 8.x at the same time, installing all updates as they are released.
Performed scanning operations on a daily basis of over a year with NO DEP errors (thousands of scan operations on a daily basis)
Scanning operations slowed beginning of October of 2009 but still had not received any DEP errors.
Scanning resumed November 5, 2009.  Started scanning process from within AA (Create new PDF from...Scanner).  AA scan dialogue window opened, selected scan button.  Waited for Adobe to open "Native" scanner interface.  Received the following message instead:  "To help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program".
Attempted to scan with AA 9.2 NOT using native scanner interface, received identical result.
Upgraded to AA 9.2, on November 10, 2009
Scanned a document both with and without using "Native" scanner interface.  No change in DEP message.
Attempted to add AA 9.2 to "exclusion" list in DEP settings (OptIn setting).  I did not receive the message regarding DEP "must be enabled for Adobe Acrobat" that some have reported (possibly specific to Vista/W7 installations?).  Although windows allowed adding AA to DEP exclusion list, results were the same.
Scanned a document using MS Office Document Scanning feature and using scanner "Native" interface.  NO DEP MESSAGES RECEIVED.
Scanned a document using MS Office Document Scanning feature WITHOUT using scanner "Native" interface.  NO DEP MESSAGES RECEIVED.
Disabling DEP (AlwaysOff) does resolve the problem but is NOT recommended as DEP is a critical security feature.  As such this work-around is NOT acceptable.
The results of the testing were:
Windows and specificaly DEP are allowing the Microsoft supplpied MS Office Document Scanning utility to use the same RICOH supplied drivers and "Native" scanner interface that DEP is NOT allowing Adobe Acrobat to use.  Simply put, even though in WXP I can add Acrobat 9.2 to the exclusion list, Windows DEP still will not allow Acrobat 9.2 to exectue programs or drivers on it's own.  Which is why I believe this is not a RICOH driver issue but either a Microsoft issue or Adobe issue or most likely Microsoft having an issue with Adobe Acrobat.
Yes, a workaround would be to use MS Document Scanning and right now that is what I am having to do.  However I find it terribly inconvenient that I have to go an extra step to convert thousands of pages of text from tiff to pdf. when I have paid hundreds of dollars for Acrobat to do it directly to .pdf .  Besides, the custom programming and batch job features I use and rely on were developed specificaly for Acrobat and REQUIRE me to use it and not some other utility.  It is simply NOT cost effective for me to use MS Document Scanning and still be able to provide the services I provide.
    My questions are these:
Is Adobe actively addressing this issue?
Why is MS Office Document Scanning able to use the scanner drivers and dialogue window when Adobe Acrobat can not?  Why is MS Windows specificaly identifying secondary code execution by Adobe Acrobat as a problem while secondary code execution by MS office is considered acceptable?
What happened over the last three months that suddenly made DEP aware of Adobe Acrobat being untrustworthy in regards to code execution where as before it WAS trustworthy, at least in regards to Windows XP installations.
Prior to this issue I had NEVER even heard of DEP (again Windows XP user).  Did Microsoft release a DEP upgrade to Windows XP users that we were not aware of?  Did Microsoft include DEP as a new feature in a recent WXP SP3 security update (over the last three months) and this is why we are seeing this now?
Regardless of When DEP was released and for who (WXP, Vista, W7), my questions #1 and #2 are still valid.  Can someone at Adobe please address this?
    ****** UPDATE #1 - 11/23/2009 ******
When adding items to the DEP exclusion list, it will only allow the addition of ".exe" (executables).  I have not been able to find a way of adding .dll files or any other extension types.

  • Shared Services - HTTP 403 error when trying to access from user's PC

We recently upgraded to Shared Services 9.3.1. We can get into the User Mgt Console when remoted into the Shared Services server; however, when I try to access the URL from my PC, I get an HTTP 403 error. I have confirmed in my Internet Options/Security that I have the Shared Services server as a trusted site. From looking at the error closer, it appears that it finds the website, but the website denies my computer access. If I remote into one of our other Hyperion servers and use the Shared Services URL, it works fine. What do we need to change so that the Hyperion admins can access the Shared Services URL from their own PC w/o having to remote into the servers?
    Terri

I never tried using the IP address until just a few minutes ago and I still got the HTTP 403 error.
I also just tried using Mozilla and got the following error:
The Server is not able to service this request: [Server:002621]Connection rejected, the server license allows connections from only 5 unique IP addresses.
When we upgraded from Shared Services 9.2.0.2 to 9.3.1, we also upgraded BEA WebLogic from 8.1.4 to 9.2. We did not have this issue when using 8.1.4.
    Thanks for your help!

  • 403 Error when client clicked on Download buttons

Client wrote that the Download buttons on Attorneys page of penhart.businesscatalyst.com take her to a 403 error screen when she tried to test the downloads. She has IE. I also had someone else test with IE and same 403 error occurred. I'm working on a Mac and using Firefox. Works great on my end. Hmmmmmmm?

A 403 error means "Forbidden". You need to enable public access to the dropbox directory of PDF files (You'll want to consult with Dropbox whether this is possible).
I see the same error when I attempt to dowload from your site as well. The browser version or OS is irrelevant here. You don't receive an error because you have full access to the files... whereas neither myself, your client, or the public have access to download the PDFs:

  • 403 error when starting in windows 7 sp 1 O.S.

I am using Firefox 5.0 in Windows 7 Ultimate O.S. Recently Adobe Flash and SP 1 upgrades appear to have corrupted the URL of the default startup search on Yahoo to produce 403 "unauthorized" errors. I cannot use existing Firefox bookmarks or change the bad URL. My I.E. browser appears to be O.K. I tried Wisefixer software repair program but the problem still persists. Are there any articles on Firefox 5.0 running in Windows 7, SP 1? or, How to fix 403 errors? Problems? Known issues?

    Hi Vidyadhar!
First of all: Thanks for your suggestions
I have done what you mentioned several times now, also a hard reset of the device.
I have made the observation that after installing the mentioned files and not starting the MI yet, there are the following files in the inbox-folder:
    create.dir
    8 xml-files
    sap.comtcmobilewdlitecontainer~implementation.sda
Then I have tried to start the MI client, but same error as described. In the inbox-folder, only the create.dir and the *.sda-file are listed there. Is it possible that there is an error in the *.sda-file?
    Best regards,
    Christoph
