I tried to make an appointment in another mobileme account which is shared. Before Lion no problem, but now it is. That other person is a familyacccount MobileMe. Own appointments are no problem. Must be a bug and authorisation problem??

  • ICal error 403 and 500 delegation error access not permitted

    Hi,
I have a problem with an iCal service on the clients.
Every time the users open iCal, they get an error: “HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error” to operation CalDAVRefreshDelegateListQueueableOperation.
Every time the users create an event in iCal, they get an error: “HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden” to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.
The iCal Server settings on the client are through port 8443 SSL.
There are no DNS errors when I do sudo changeip -checkhostname.
    Clients have 10.6.4, server 10.6.4.
In noticed that in WM there is no checkbox calendaring.
The iCal calendaring error log is below.
The XServe doesn't has the DNS service.
    Somebody has some suggestions ?
    Thanks

  • 7 day alert gives me "CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation."

Help--I changed my MobileMe password earlier today. Upon creating a new iCal event, if the alert is for seven days or less, everything is fine. If it's for 8 days or more, I get the following error:
+Access to “test4” in “AA Events” in account “[email protected]” is not permitted.+
    +The server responded:+
    +“HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden”+
    +to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.+
I've deleted the various cache & plist files, and deleted the DAV server in iCal's preferences. Any thoughts? Thanks very much.
All this being said...c'mon Apple. Time to grow up...it's been 25 years. Time to put out product that's as good as the design and the hype...read these forums--there's an absurd number of problems with this stuff. My BMW runs great in any/all conditions and gets serviced every 15,000 miles. My TV also just works!!!

I found a couple of threads about this. The best way I've found around this is to select your pre- filled time frame 7 days,10 days, whatever and then under that select on date of event. This will actually revert to an actual date that is the 7 or 10 or whatever days you selected. Then hit done and it sticks and will also show on MobileMe on the web with that time frame after it syncs. One other suggestion was to take the calendar off line to set the time span of the pre alert and then take it back on line. This will preserve the time frame on your local iCal but I found that when a MobileMe sync occurs that time frame will not take hold on MobileMe if it's more than 7 days or any other devices you sync with.
So for now go ahead and select the pre-populated time spans if you have them or just manually click on the alert, message, email, etc., and select " on the date of event" and manually enter the date that corresponds to the time frame you want. This does sync properly across all devices with no error messages.
From looking at the date of these posts this has been going on since at least from December and probably before so I don't have a good feeling that this will be solved any time soon.

  • How do I sync iPod calendar with iCal?

    Hello everyone,
I have just been bought a new iPod touch as a birthday present.  Since I have never had a device that operates like a smart phone before (I know it's not exactly a smart phone), I thought I would begin to use it as a diary, note-taker etc.  I have always done these things on paper, but now I think it would be a good idea to have them synchronized between iPod and computer.
My laptop is running Snow Leopard, which I believe is too old to exploit iCloud.  So I have been trying to find out the "old fashioned" way of syncronizing an iPod and iCal on my laptop.  I thought it would do it automatically during the usual iTunes sync, but apparently not.  And I've found surprisingly little information on the web.
What I have done so far is try to set up an account on iCal.  I clicked to add a new account, selected "Automatic" for account type, put my usual Gmail address in the e-mail address bar, and my Gmail password in the password bar.  Then clicked create.
But as soon as I now try to enter anything in the calender, an error message comes up (I have redacted the event name and my Gmail username):
The server responded with an error.
Access to “[EVENT NAME]” in “[MY GMAIL USERNAME]@googlemail.com” in account “[MY GMAIL USERNAME]@gmail.com” is not permitted.
    The server responded:
    “HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden”
    to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.
Seems as though some mismatch between "gmail" and "googlemail" is the problem?
Anyway, I'm not even sure I want to start using Google calendar – that was just what iCal automatically gave me.  Is there not an Apple equivalent (not iCloud) that would make things more compatible?
Since I'm starting from scratch, I thought this would be easy, but no such luck!
    Thanks for any help!
    Jon

    Hey JonC84
Thanks for the question. You can definitely sync your new iPod touch with the local calendar on your computer (you won't need to setup an account like iCloud). The following article may help you achieve this:
iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1296
    Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks, and Notes
You can sync contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and notes with other applications on your computer. This allows you keep all your information in sync across multiple computers and iOS devices. The settings for these items are all in the Info tab for your iOS device in iTunes. With your iOS device connected to the computer, select your iOS device. Then click the Info tab.
    Calendars
To sync calendars with your computer, choose "Sync Calendars" or "Sync iCal Calendars."
    - When syncing calendars, you can sync all calendars or sync specific calendars.
    - You can limit the data that is synced to only events that have occurred in the last 30 days. The option can be changed to any number of days.
For additional information, see this article (while the article refers to iTunes 11, most steps are applicable for you):
iTunes 11 for Mac: Sync contacts, calendars, and other info with iPod, iPhone, or iPad

  • I CAN NO LONGER EDIT REPEATING EVENTS (BIRTHDAYS) CREATED IN iCAL

I have many repeating events (birthdays) created in iCal. Recently, whenever I call up these events for editing, and when I save them, I get the message (for example) "Access to “Mom's birthday” in “Birthdays” in account “[username]@me.com” is not permitted.
    The server responded:
    “HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden”
    to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation
I then get the choices to "Go Offline" or "Revert to Server".
Then, if I click "Revert to Server", the entire event disappears.
Can anyone let me know how to solve this problem?

  • Server Error Related To Set Alarms

There is another thread going about the following error message:
    The server responded:
    “HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden”
    to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.
I have found that this is occurring for me only when I set a future event and then try to set an alarm to occur a specific amount of time prior to the event time. I've found that as long as I set the alarm to occur at 7 days or less prior to the event I get no error message and everything sets up and syncs properly through MobileMe. However if I try to set the alarm for greater than 7 days the error pops up and the event won't be created.
It's been a while since I've tried to set an alert longer than a week before so I don't know how long this has been going on. Does anyone have any information on this.

Instead of going through the rest of the setup and logging in, I skipped it and also skipped the passcode.  My iPad allowed me to get on to it and enter a password for iTunes.  We'll see how long this lasts.  Don't know why I didn't think of trying this earlier.  Let's keep our fingers crossed.

  • Find and delete subscribed calendar in iCal

I downloaded a calendar, and inadvertently put it in with birthdays and holidays. Now I can't find it. I keep getting an error message, every time I open iCal:
"The server responded with an error. Access to “Sun enters Aries” in “Birthdays, Anniversaries” in account “[email protected]” is not permitted. The server responded:
    “HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden”
    to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation."
There are then 2 choices:"Go Offline" or "Revert to Server"
How can I remove this calendar?

    brosen,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
You should be able to click on the calendar and choose Edit>Delete.
    ;~)

  • "Go Offline" or "Revert to Server"

I keep getting a notice in iCal that begins with "Excuse me, iCal needs your attention" followed by a popup window with this message:
    The server responded:
    “HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden”
    to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.
Two buttons are in the window: "Go offline" and "Revert to Server"
I have changed my password, rebooted, and repaired permissions, but it persists. It seems to be random and not specific to any particular network that I use. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Similar problem.  Every time I start iCal I get this error message:
“The server responded with an error.  The server did not recognise your user name or password for account “[email protected]”  Make sure you enter them correctly.”
How do I enter that information on the server?

  • Errors while syncing

I sync with MobileMe for my iMac & iPhone. Recently I am getting multiple error messages indicating there is a problem with certain events in MobileMe.
Presumably during the sync process it throws up numerous errors, the message as follows
Access to "xxxxxxxxxx" in "Home" in account "Mobile Me Diary" is not permitted.
    The server responded:
    "HTTP?1.1 403 Forbidden"
    to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation
It gives the option to go Offline or Revert to Server. I normally choose the latter.
I have tried to track down the offending "xxxxxxxx" and it seems to be related to old items in the diary but it will not allow me to delete these.
    Any ideas?

    Welcome to the discussions,
There is no other way than to restore your ipod to get rid of that big "other" section. If something goes wrong during a sync, the result is that additional part to the "other" section.
You can try to use your last backup first, but if this does not solve your problem, restore "as new ipod" to make sure your not using corrupt files from your backup.

If your ipod is not recognized in iTunes anymore, connect in recovery mode to restore: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

  • Problems with iCal invitees 10.6.8

    Hi
I have just upgraded fro 10.5 server to 10.6 server, Ialthough iCal is basically workign Ok I cannot work out what to do about a problem with attendees in iCal.
Whenever I try to add an attended i iCal, as I start typing it tries to autocomplete just as it used to in 10.5,  However, whichever attendee i select, it always ends up with an exclamation mark next to it, and I get an error message:
    The server responded:
    “HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden”
    to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.
I dont quite believe the error message, there is not a problem with my permissions as such, because I can create and edit and delete events in this calendar to my heart's content.  This shared calendar was created with iCal Server Utility, and i used calendarserver_manage_principlas to give me write permission.  I know i have write permission fr this calendar, because I *can* write i, and because I can see in my delegation settings that I have write permission.
As this is a shared calendar, so I just tried to add an attendee to an event in my own calendar. the behaviour is similar, I get the exclamation mark, but no error message.
Is it relevant that we are currently *not* runnign a mail srver
Can anyone suggest what I can do to breathje life into this feature please - attendees are pretty important for us.
    May thanks for any help.

Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is, then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions. After repairing use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for restarting from your hard drive.
