"404: No group with that name (wikigroupname) hosted on this server"

I am running 10.6.8 as our wiki server. After rebooting the server, one of the wiki group seems to be not accessible. When try to access the web page it gives error "404: No group with that name (wikigroupname) hosted on this server", though it still exists in /Library/Collaboration/Groups/wikigroupname
Do you know how to make it viewable again? I tried to create a new wiki "test" and then rsync /Library/Collaboration/Groups/wikigroupname to /Library/Collaboration/Groups/test, yet still can not see the old wiki group.

In all due respect Antonio, I believe that Francesc43 is fighting a flakey system. The 404 No Group is a problem that is confirmed by Apple according to others and very prevalent. At this point the only remediation appears to be a complete server rebuild and to avoid going beyond the "default" configuration for web domains.
I have personally used only the 'any domain' default config, had the server working fairly well. I then added a FQDN and the server started giving 404s for all groups which previously worked and have data in the wiki. At the same time the simple web sites worked with and without the FQDN as expected. Then removing (not disabling) the default web domain config relieved the wiki 404s. Adding a new default domain config back in (via just hitting the "+" and "Save") recreated the 404's for the previously working wikis with no change to the groups. Removing the system created default domain config it alleviated the 404s.
Adding a system generated default and a 3rd FQDN re-created the issue and then afterwords, removing all but the FQDN that worked could not alleviate the 404s. Regardless of the permutation of turning things on and off, deleting groups, removing webservices settings, putting them back in, restarting the server.. nothing. 404-DOA
While the mystery seems to be related to a very fragile relationship with DNS on the server, the solution is again to erase the disk and start over. Wikis in 10.5 thus far are neither a robust nor a stable solution from 10.5 thru 10.5.5 in my experience.

Wiki - No group with that name hosted on this server?

I tried to create a wiki for a group of users on my server. Unfortunatly I couldn't get it to work through the external website. Everytime I returns the error "404: No group with that name (team) hosted on this server". But when I went to the internal adres of the server "10.0.3.1" the wiki worked fine, although I selected the FQDN at "Enable the following services for this group on".
I searched the forums but no solution helpt. I checked the MAC address, restarted teams, restarted webservices, rebooted the server. Because nothing helpt I recreated my opendirectory database. Filled it with all users again but it still doesn't work. However, when I go to server admin and then to "Sites" all my sites are gone, although they do work, I can't edit any of the settings. In Workgroup Manager at "Enable the following services for this group on" I can only select "NONE".
It looks like Server Admin and Workgroup Manager are out of Sync and Server Admin also lost his previous settings. I tried to import an backup of the webservices, then the new sites appear for a few seconds and then disappear again.
Any advise?

It sounds like you have a DNS problem. You have one hostname/IP for the 'world' and another hostname/IP for your internal network. You need to reconcile that before you will get the wiki to work. Start with this in Terminal.app:
sudo changeip -checkhostname
Then do:
sudo hostname

Spotlight/Finder can't find a file, yet when I search the timecapsule for they find it. If I try to restore the file I get "file with that name already exists...." What is wrong?

I was trying to find a file (iTunes Backup). When using finder/Spotlight they couldn't find the file.
I then opened up my timecapsule and searched for the file....tick-a-de-da it found it in yesterdays backup. I attempted to restore the file and got the prompt "A file with that name already exists in this location, would you like to keep both, replace the file or cancel the request.
So if the file is there why can't spotlight/finder find the file??

Is there any possibilty that some of your files (a VI or DLL?) have been moved, renamed, or deleted? Also, what version of LabVIEW are you using and are you using any .NET DLLs? Another option to consider would involve VISA or DAQmx property nodes. Are you using any of these property nodes in your code? I'm using Deamweaver 8.0.1 on a Mac. My server is right next
to me and is also a Mac. Both Mac's are on OSX10.4.6
I connect to the server vis AppleTalk local network.
I guess I'm having a premission problem but whenever I try
and synchrnize I get an error like this:

I can manually copy files without error or insedent...
I have tried coping the entire site to the server, mannually,
again. I have deleted the site reference in Dreamweaver, quit and
then re-launch Dreamweaver and create a new site.

Update
I changed over to FTP connection with the host, just incase there was some weird wrong with my server. And FTP works fine from the command line, but Dreamweaver is seems goofed.
I "tested" the connection from the manage sites menu, its ok. The trouble remains when i upload files. Now, Dreamweaver says "error occured - An FTP error occured -- cannot put [file name] Access Denied. The file mau not exist or there could be a permission problem."
I have full access to the vsftp.conf file and I've allowed,
write_enable
local_mask
Any thoughs? Its entirely possible there is a simple explanation. I had this working before. Its just not working now.

I want to move my iphoto libarary but i am getting an error message that says there is already a folder with that name - there is not.

I want to copy my iphoto library to an external hard drive but when i drag and drop it there i get an error message that says there is already a file with that name - i am not sure what to do next?! i have tried changing the name of the file - and searching for the same file name in the destination folder - nothing works! i want to back up this library! HELP! This is the ERROR message: The operation can’t be completed because an item with the name “iPhoto Library to MOVE ” already exists.

How are you backing up the photos? The best way is to backup the library itself as that will preserve your organizational efforts as well as all metadata like keywords, titles, faces, places, books, etc.
You can use a backup application that does incremental backups. Thus only the first backup is a full one and subsequent backups just copy those files that are new or changed. I use Synk Pro. The lower cost version, Synk, will do the same job. Other similar apps can be found at MacUpdate.com.
OR: upload your camera to a folder on the Desktop. There you can rename the files to something that is more informative than just the file name. I use the date (international format) along with a brief desc: 2007-1-20-adian1stbday-001.jpg. File renaming apps can also be found at MacUpdate.com. Also you can give the folder an informatve name which will become the Event name when you import the folder of photos into iPhoto.

A have new problem that has appeared in my Mac Mail. When I type a frequently used email into the 'To: line' it populates the correct name but with 8 different email addresses not associated with that name.

I noticed you posted this problem quite a while ago and wondered if you managed to have it fixed in an alternative way then posting here. It is too bad no one has posted a solution here. I have a similar problem and if you have had yours solved since this occurance how you accomplished it may help me with mine. I am interested to know what you have done about yours.

I have a large list of conacts that are only email addresses and are in a group called Emails Only. I decided to upload the email address to LinkedIn and connect with the people that were in my email list to obtain their full name if they were on LinkedIn. Then, after I connected with a bunch of people, I exported my whole LinkedIn contacts back into my address book in a group I made called LinkedIn.
I then tried to merge my contacts. For some reason the LinkedIn group won't merge with the Email Only group. Shouldn't my address book realize there are multiple contacts with the same email address? Is it an issue that the Email Only list just has emails and no names?
Any help would be much appreciated!

When I go into my account settings and try to change my old hotmail address to my current Yahoo! address, it tells me "That email address is already used as an Apple ID." Yeah, I know that. I set up the account that I'd really, really, like to have together, but it won't let me go further. End of activity! It is trusting that my email account and password are correct b/c it will let me make purchases, etc., so it's not like it is preventing fraud or anything. Summary: iPod = Yahoo!, iPhone = hotmail, would like to have both reflect my Yahoo! address.

Group with 1 name & 2 addresses?

Sorry if this has been answered, but I couldn't find an appropriate thread.
Is there a way to creat a group in Address Book that has two (or more) e-mail addresses from one name?
For example, I'd like to continuously send Person X e-mails that go to both of her addresses. Instead of manually inserting both e-mail addresses, I'd like to include them both in a group.
Entourage let me do this, but I can't see how Address Book / Mail does.
Any help?

Welcome to the discussions, jeffreygeoffrey.
A group does not actually contain contacts; contacts are members of a group (or indeed many groups). To do what you want (which sounds suspiciously like harassment - "I'd like to continuously send" - but I hope that's not what you mean) you would need to make two cards for Miss X, one with each of her email addresses, and put them both into the X group.

Is there a key equiv to locate a folder if the URL is selected, and the folder is shown? E.g., in Address Book, if a name is selected an Option key pressed, all groups containing that name show as highlited.

It is a bit arduous, roundabout, and time consuming to search for and enable a URL in the Firefox Library, then open the site, then click the STAR in the URL field to see where that URL exists in the Library.
The Apple Address Book (AB) uses a feature that would make locating a URL in the Library MUCH easier:
• Enter a word in the AB to find an address, and with the address showing, press Option key – Any/all Group(s) (folder(s)) containing that address show as highlighted until the Option key is released.
• Could the same/similar be done with Firefox?
I.e., use Find in the FF Lib, select any URL in the displayed list, press Option (or whatever key combo) to show the folders containing that URL.

How do I stop the Key from popping up everytime I log on to a site with login name and password. This pop up is big and annoying and I'm ready to go back to IE than have that thing pop up huge and annoying.

The pop up that asks if I want to save this login name and password everytime I login to a site. It is huge and annoying as hell. I just want to have an option to stop it. I know it's there, I don't need to be reminded everytime and if I wanted it to remember I would use it. Give me a break.
