404 not found Resource /analytics not found on this server

Hi All,
I have installed OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 in RHEL4. I have installed using Basic type(OC4J). After installation i checked and redeployed analytics.ear successfully. I were able to acces http://<host-domainname>.com:9704/analytics. I am trying to integrate BI with EBS12.1.1(11.1.0.7.0). For that i have installed 11g client and edited client details in the user.sh in /setup. After that i shutdown both BI Server and Presentation server. When i try to shutdown,it gives some error Error starting ORMI server <host-domain>.com port 23,791: Address already in use. So i restarted through application console and restarted both BI and Presentation server. After that, i tried to acces http://<host-domainname>.com:9704/analytics. I am getting this error. But i am able to access Application console,Publisher. Please let me know a solution.
Can i install BI Applications in Linux? How can i install BI Administration tool in windows?
Thanks,
Manikandan.

Hi Manikandan,
404 errors tend to mean that your OC4J container is down. 500 errors tend to mean that your presentation services are down. Since you are getting a 404, I'm betting that you're OC4J container died.
To restart your OC4J, I believe the command is: oc4j -start
If I remember correctly, you need to be in the /product/obiee/setup/ folder when you execute this command. You can run a unix find command to locate the correct folder and execute the start command form that folder or just add that full folder path to your PATH environment variable.
Oracle BI Apps can absolutely be installed on Linux.
Installing the Administration tool on Windows is very easy. Simply download the windows binaries of OBIEE (make sure it's same version as your linux version). Go into the server folder and click on setup.exe. Navigate through the menu until it asks what you want to install. Select the client tools. And proceed from there.
Good luck and if you found this post useful, please award points!
Best regards,
-Joe

  • Resource /analytics not found on this server

    I've tried a lot of different things to overcome this issue, but I'll try and keep this brief. Hopefully someone else has encountered a similar problem :-)
    I'm getting the following error with I try to access http://localhost:9704/analytics:
    "Resource /analytics not found on this server"
    My setup:
    Windows 7
    Oracle DB 11g Release 2 installed locally
    OBIEE 10g v10.1.3.2
    I installed 11g Release 2 prior to installing OBIEE.
    I can connect to databases through both 11g and OBIEE. I have successfully imported database metadata into OBIEE and built a basic repository. When I try to access analytics I get the error.
    I also have tried logging into Application Server Control (http://localhost:9704/em/) as oc4jadmin. I get the following error:
    "This OC4J is configured to make JMX connections via RMIS and fall back to RMI if the RMIS port is not configured. The RMIS connection on the OC4J local instance is configured but a connection could not be established. The JMX protocol is specified by the oracle.oc4j.jmx.internal.connection.protocol property in opmn.xml"
    The only opmn.xml file I find on my system is at C:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\ascontrol\ascontrol\WEB-INF\config\registration, and it doesn't have the oracle.oc4j.jmx.internal.connection.protocol in it.
    I've tried the usual stop/start services, restart the computer, making sure ORACLE_HOME and JAVA_HOME are set. Any suggestions on what else to try?

    Thanks again Rachit. I had found those instructions, but since I can't get into Application Server Control, I can't redeploy the war in that way.
    Last night I was able to fix my problem. Here is what I ended up doing:
    1) Uninstall OBIEE
    2) Restart computer
    3) Delete any OBIEE files that uninstall left (there was still on OracleBI directory structure)
    4) Restart computer again
    5) Install the latest *32-bit* JDK. I had the latest *64-bit* version, and had a suspicion that I might need the 32-bit
    6) Restart computer
    7) Reinstall OBIEE, pointing to the 32-bit JDK install
    8) Restart computer
    After that I am able to launch presentation services and get into Answers.
    I still have one problem to overcome, but that is for another thread if I can't figure it out.

  • Publish to folder but website says: 'Not Found: Resource does not exist'

    Hi Everyone,
    I'm new here so I apologise sincerely if a similar question has been asked and answered.
    Well, I am currently trying to make a webpage for my mom on iWeb 08 and we also purchased a personal domain name. We are really new to this so I suppose its all still a bit confusing..
    I figured out we needed to enter a 'CNAME' into the domain site in order for our iWeb pages to get redirected to her site. And so we put in 'web.me.com' (I think) and were told that it 'should' work. So when I went to her personal URL, it initially asked for a username and password (even though I did not set one up through iWeb). I typed in her personal username and password as this was the only plausible one I could think of... but then the page loaded and the only thing it says is "Not Found: Resource does not exist."
    I'm not sure what is wrong - did I input the wrong CNAME or was I supposed to do something else as well as "Publish to a folder" --> then enter the URL for the site at bottom...?
    Would really appreciate some feedback - so lost right now!!

    Why are you publishing to a folder? You only need to do this if you are uploading directly to the domain webspace and you need an ftp client to do this such as Cyberduck.
    CNAME is only used if you are publishing the site to a MobileMe account and you are forwarding the domain to your MMe account?
    What is it that you are doing?
    If using CNAME, then you need to go to your MMe account and enter the domain name under the personal section, enter personal domain. Then publish your site and then go to your domain name registrar and go to the DNS settings and set the CNAME up to forward to web.me.com.
    If you are using CNAME forwarding, then from within iWeb you need to click on Publish All to MobileMe and NOT TO A FOLDER. The folder option is ONLY if you are uploading directly with ftp to your domain space.

  • Error after Installing PDK -  (404 The requested resource is not available)

    Hi
    I recently installed my PDK over my existing Portal 6.0 using SDM Tool. I downloaded PDK_6.0.14.0_BusinessPackage from SDN. I deployed pdkcontent6.0.14.0.SCA file using the SDM Tool. It installed successfully. But when i go and check the links under 'Portal Content Development ' , it gives me a 404 - The requested resource is not available.
    Please help out.

  • 404 'the requested resource is not available'

    Hi All,
    We created a KM iview and accessing Flash file. Some users are able to see the iview without error. Some users are getting 404 'the requested resource is not available' Error. They are not able to see the flash file in portal.
    Can anyone advise me what the problem is and resolution steps for this?
    Thanks,
    Srinivasu.Y

    Hi Srinivasu,
    Well you already have lots of valid suggestions above but this problem might be causing for various reasons. As you have already checked the permissions for the set of the users having this problem, it might be worth checking if there are many nodes of the server instance and if any of these are not working properly. It can happen that when those set of users are trying to access the resource, the request is hitting specific server nodes which is unable to find the resource for some reasons. You can try asking the users to clear their browser cache and try again so that when the users try to access the same resource again it might go to different node this time.
    But probably this is a temporary solution that might work as has worked in my case but there might be problem with some server nodes which is worth looking at.
    Hope it helps.

    Gourav

    Hi,
    According to the error message, please use performance monitor to diagnose if it is a memory-related bottleneck and you can use the counters of the memory part in the article below:
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2008.08.pulse.aspx
    In addition, it may be due to thousands of open connections to the server are in a TIME_WAIT state. You can run "netstat -an" command on the affected server and client. If you see mutiple connections in the TIME_WAIT state, you can follow the article
    to increase the number of TCP/IP connections:
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee377084(v=bts.70).aspx
    Furthermore, if you are running windows server 2003, please make sure that you have installed the KB 948496 and stop all services that you don't need.
    Best regards,

  • Error 0x800706b9 (2147944121) Not enough resources ae available to complete this operation

    Every time I try to install my new printer, or when I used my old one, I keep on getting this message. I've tried everything from starting the spooler to editing the registry key but nothing seems to work. It seems to be an internal problem because the two printers I tried both had this issue.
    Could someone please help?

    Hello Raisinette434,
    Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
    I understand that you are unable to install software for either a new printer or an old. Judging by the error you have mentioned, "Error 0x800706b9 (2147944121) Not enough resources are available to complete this operation", my first thought is that there is not enough memory on the computer to met the minimum requirements.
    What is the model of printer? Also, the error seems to be one from a Windows Operating System, is this correct? If so, what is the version of Windows, including version, e.g. Windows 7?
    Hope to hear back.

  • HTTP 404 THE REQUESTED RESOURCE IS NOT AVAILABLE

    HELP ME PLEASE !!!!
    I HAVE AN APPLICATION THAT USES 3 PAGES: INDEX.HTML , MOTOR.JSP AND MOTOR2.JSP.
    THE LOGIC OF APPLICATION IS:
    FIRST STEP
    THE FIRST STEP IS SHOWING PAGE INDEX.HTML
    THERE IS THE FOLLOWING CODE IN THIS PAGE:
    <FORM ACTION="DIRECT">
    SECOND STEP
    DIRECT IS A SERVLET THAT HAVE THE FOLLOWING CODE:
    RequestDispatcher rd = req.getRequestDispatcher("Motor.jsp");
    rd.forward(req,res);
    THIRD STEP
    THE PAGE MOTOR.JSP REDIRECT TO A SERVLET ENGINE,
    AND SERVLET ENGINE REDIRECT TO A JSP MOTOR2.JSP
    USING THE COMMAND:
    RequestDispatcher rd = req.getRequestDispatcher("Motor2.jsp");
    rd.forward(req,res);
    IN THIS THIRD STEP THE PAGE IS ALWAYS REFRESHING
    TO ADD INFORMATION TO THE PAGE MOTOR2.JSP.
    SOMETIMES THE APPLICATION SHOWS ALL PAGES,
    BUT, SOMETIMES THE APPLICATION HAS AN ERROR:

    IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE COMMANDS TO
    REDIRECT THE PAGES?
    PLEASE HELP ME
    THANKS VERY MUCH
    JANE PELLIM

    Hi,
    the refresh of the page is about 2 minutes, because some info
    about the process that is running in background
    is showing in the motor2 jsp.
    the redirects is necessary because in each page
    some processing is running in the servlets.

  • Error 404: the request resource is not available

    Hello,
    I'm a newbie am using the Sun One (Forte 4.0 Community Edition) to develop a JSP/Servlet application.
    I'm using the built-in version of Tomcat, that comes with forte. Tomcat has been installed in tyhe following directory:
    C:\forte\forte4j\tomcat401
    My application has the following path:
    C:\forte\RDoku\tomcat401_base\webapps\designer
    After reading the documentation that comes with this version of Forte, it seems that Tomcat can be configured to work this
    way. Is that correct?
    Anyway, when I start tomcat(within forte), the login page, login.jsp is loaded successfully. The action of the login
    form is servlet/com.doku.login. My web.xml file looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <!DOCTYPE web-app
    PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN"
    "http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd">
    <web-app>
    <!-- Define servlets that are included in the example application -->
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>login</servlet-name>
         <servlet-class>com.doku.login</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    </web-app>
    My problem is that when I submit the form, I get the following error:
    Error 404, /servlet/com.doku.login, the request resource (/servlet/com.doku.login) is not available.
    I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me in solving this mystery.
    Regards,
    Rudi

    Hey Rudi
    Everything seems to be in place ..except your package structure..
    your webapp has the context of designer.
    Therfore your directory structure for tomcat should look somewhat like this
    webapps
    --designer
    web-inf < web.xml(i think)
    classes  <Place your class files here(if loose)
    lib < jar files
    1.) Somehow tomcat is creating another context in servlet (unless you have created one yourself).I would urge u to check the invocation for your webapp (By saying that i am pointing at the error /servlet/com.doku.login...instead of /designer/com.doku.login).
    change the action of the form to
    /designer/...instead of /servlet/
    2.)Further..on examining your depoyment descriptor..i found missing entries for the <servlet-mapping> element.Tomcat uses your deployment descriptor to map the incoming requests to your classes.The element must be specified in order to allow a smooth mapping from the request to the corresponding servlet class.
    Let me explain by using an example
    a.)my form action="/designer/Hello" method="get"
    b.)The directory structure for my webapp(designer ) is as above
    c.)web.xml
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <!DOCTYPE web-app
    PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN"
    "http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd">
    <web-app>
    <!-- Define servlets that are included in the example application -->
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>Hello</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>package.HelloWorld</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>Hello</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/Hello</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    </web-app>
    so for all incoming requests in the form /servlet/Hello will be mapped to your class defined in the package package.HelloWorld
    Let me know if u have more questions.

    After restarting apache and tomcat all pages under webapps/ROOT became unavailable, but pages in other webapps are still available. Almost looks like there is filter somewhere. Does anyone has any idea where should I look? Thanks!

    additional info:
    all pages in webapps/test were also not available, but when I renamed webapps/test to webapps/newapp then it owrks fine. Definitely there seem to be a filter somewhere but where??? Please help!
