4050n and 4050tn partially stop working, then start again, then stop again
Hello - I have 2 printers , both hooked into a network via manual ip. Today, Monday we come in and they both stopped working. No network changes were made. Tried assigning a different ip with no luck. It looks like its printing as jobs cleared the que, but no activity on printer. I then tried hooking it up directly with parallel port and printed a test page, worked fine, for a while then stopped again. Same thing with second machine in another dept. Some weird network connectivity issue? We have other printers and larger fiery copiers on the network that worked fine as usual. Any help please?

I have used imovie in the past for editing gaming videos but due to a software issue i have had to make a return to imovie. The issue is when i try to export either just by exporting movie or exporting using quicktime, it acts like it is working then at the end it finishes and there is no sign it worked at all. no exported file in any folder and no error message. also there is an error when i try to optimize but i can do without that if need be. Thanks!

iMac slowed down, PowerPoint and word wouldn't work, I tried to switch users then shut it down and now it is frozen with a white screen. Help please!
From the way you are describing it, it sounds like the HD has failed. Please look over Gray screen appears during startup for troubleshooting steps. You can also run Apple Hardware Test in Extended Mode, it may take 2-3 passes for any error codes to appear and each pass takes approximately 30-60 minutes. However either way you should plan on taking it into an Apple Store or AASP for service.

I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.04
If I am listening to music using my Apple earphones when I pull the earphones out the music pauses as expected. However, when I go back and plug the earphones in and try to play on with the music nothing happens and I have to go back to the list of tracks and select a new one from the start.
This also is impacting my listening to music from my iPhone on my motorcuycle audio system. The iPhone is plugged into a USB port on the bike and prior to iOS7 always resumed playing music from wherever it was in a track and displayed the music track name on the bike info panel.
Since upgrading now the music won't start and again I have to pull the iphone out of the glovebox and go back to the list of tracks and select a new track. But the moment the power interrupts or the nav audio cuts in and switches from iPod the music pauses and doen't restart as it always did.
Apple, what have you done?? You have basically taken the very first App that made the iPod exist and stop it functioning properly. When are you going to fix this or is there already some obscure setting that needs to be changed but that is not prominently displayed in settings anywhere? How can I make my iPhone function as an iPod properly again for my music needs?Nothing wrong, no panic. Some general remarks:
a. the battery will not be charged when over 95% full; a full battery is not charged
b. it is good for the battery to have it go down to about 50% before recharging, say once a week at least.
c. never let the battery go down completely, so that it shuts off on its own: that is very bad for a modern smart Li battery.
d. sometimes the old "battery calibration" procedure is advised, you should not do that.
trick: when you click the little battery icon in the top menu bar, you also see if there is a heavy energy user running. -
Chronosync and iphoto 11 not working well together.
Has anyone else struggled to get chronosync to work with iphoto 11 libraries? I have; it often just gives me the spinning beach ball when I open the syncronizer, and if it does work then it is very slow and hasn't competed after a couple of hours.
Macbook and iMac running snow leopard, backing up to time machine.I had thought of that. However, I have found that they will be persistently optimistic and keep suggesting methods, to try and fix problems, that are quite involved but not successful. If lots of people are having trouble and have unsuccessfully tried suggested methods I'll have to go back to time machine. If no one has then I'll approach them and give them the benefit of the doubt.

Text and links sometimes not working
Ok guys, I'm fairly new at this website creation thing and it's giving me an achy skull. I'm publishing my site through godaddy, the domain is www.thegypsydave.com
I've had to create the page 5 or 6 times now, luckily it's not very detailed. The problems i'm having are:
When I publish it some of the links don't work
When I publish it the text is in a different spot than it should be
I think these are pretty basic things, but I can't figure them out and would be forever grateful for help. Though I think the website is appearing ok for now, though I tell you, it changes on its own account i swear.

Would it matter if i'd emptied my cache if i wasn't viewing it online but just from the folder that I published it in? Because the links and text weren't working then either. It is now March 12 and my free minutes have not started again.

How do I stop the download of Maverick on my MacBookPro? I started downloading then discovered that 2008 Word and Excel do not work with Maverick. I have too many files in the 2008 version to upgrade them at this time. I just need instructions in non technical terms to stop the Maverick download.
I did the same as Tapmr and have paused the "upgrade". So am I to understand that the upgrade only downloads and will not automatically install it? I am an extreme novice here, and cannot afford any issues after I upgrade/download. I don't know how to make a clone copy as you suggested either.
I need assurance that if the upgrade is allowed to continue that I will be able to delete the upgrade downloaded and continue on as before with my regular system. -
my MacBook Pro is crashing and Mac OS stops working sometimes so I have to restart it. And sometimes it stays on the first white-ish screen with the Apple and won't start further.

How to Perform an Archive and Install
An Archive and Install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have sufficient free space for a second OS X installation which could be from 3-9 GBs depending upon the version of OS X and selected installation options. The free space requirement is over and above normal free space requirements which should be at least 6-10 GBs. Read all the linked references carefully before proceeding.
1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger, Leopard or Snow Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update. -

My guess is, your iPod classic is more than 2 years old and out of warranty, and the hardisk has gone kaput! and need to be replaced.

So i've had my macbook air for about 3 years and it's been working fine. Until a year ago. My down key started to weird out and stopped! After a few minutes it went back to normal. But the next day it glitched and wouldn't work. I took it to the applestore a month ago when it started to get very annoying. But I didn't have coverage so they couldn't replace it and it was 100 dollars to fix the keyboard plus they would have to take it for a week when I need it every single day except holidays which aren't exactly very close at all. Then today when I was using my mac it worked! Then I came home and it stopped and I almost blew. I tried to yt some help but nothing worked. Please Help ME!

iPhones don't have "memory cards." All memory chips are part of the motherboard, which is now fried (steamed may be a better word) by the water damage. If you can't power on the phone, it's contents are history.
