41 hours to complete? Unbelievable.

Yeah, I actually got that as a time response. And it actually takes that long. At least, an hour of burning makes an hour go down on the countdown clock. I've never actually finished it, it's ridiculous. Any help? iDVD '08. One time it said only 3 hours, so I let it go the full three. When the progress bar was complete, the program crashed and my DVD was still, apparently, blank. Any help?

It's a DVD that I ripped. It's a dual layer disc, with the content at around 6 GB or so. I was going to make a copy, but I only have a single layer DVD, so I didn't make a disc image. I ripped the content that I wanted, not all the special features, and turned that into the MPEG-4.
Anything else I can do? Like try a different theme? Or should I like....send my computer in to Apple. shudder
Someone said it could have been a Leopard issue. Should I try again when 10.5.2 is released?

    In trying to include what information all that I could I should have specified I DON'T KNOW THAT IT WAS DEFINATELY JAILBROKEN when I took it to the apple store they told me there's no way for them to tell if it was jail broken or not. I'm only going by what ppl have told me COULD HAVE BEEN DONE TO THE PHONE. With that said the only thing I know for sure is that the apple tech at the Genius Bar told me that someone took control of my root menu in February & I've had no control of my phone since. I asked him how to regain control & how he knew his exact words were "oh that is out of our scope of capabilities here at this level & you would need an apple engineer to fix it". I said ok then how do I get an apple eng then? He laughed & said you can't!!!! To which I was furious I came home & called apple requesting to speak w/the fraud dept to file a report they said we don't have a fraud dept!! So after a 45 mn phone call again I left w/no answers.

    You need to get rid of MacKeeper (Zeobit).  Do not use their uninstaller, follow the instructions here ...

    When that is done there does not appear to be a lot wrong if you correct the red ink entries.
    The 4Gb is sufficient for Yosemite though 6 or 8 Gb would be better.  You may find the download slow so be prepared.

    Can someone help to advice?You or your DBA should trace/tkprof (with wait events) that code.
    The reason I have two loops is because I need to generate multiple files with different invoices.This does not work with one loop.I beg to differ on that: probably it can be done in a single loop (but it's hard to prove without seeing the cursor queries).
    The question is what difference in time it will make. We don't have your cursors (or machines, or database version or data or...)
    Therefore you need to test your queries, check the explain plans, or better: have a run of that code being traced and check the outcomes.

    I executed the following query and it takes 14 hours to complete. I don't understand why it takes too long, the database is in archivelog mode and it is not running any other queries. I even specified nologging and the parallel option. And before performing the operation I even "alter table move..." the incmsg table.
    The incmsg table contains around 70Million rows.

    75 Hours to complete full install of FCS2...
    This doesn't sound right. I just recieved my new Early 2008 Mac Pro 8 way 3Ghz with 16GB Ram and the 8800GT. I am installing FCS2, and asked for everything to be installed. Each DVD is taking forever to install, and currently I am only on the second audio content DVD. Doesn't make alot of sense why it is taking soooo long to install. I am updated to 10.5.2 and the Graphics update. I didn't see any warnings or errors in the console, as I had first thought I would have seen DVD errors or something like that. I am curious if anyone else has seen this issue. Thanks for any input anyone has on this issue.

  • Is Lightroom expected to take hours to complete "Import from Catalog" or is something wrong?

    Im trying to import a catalog with about 2500 images into a "master catalog" with about 1500 images. It has taken hours for it to complete checking duplicate and then do the import after that. I restarted and now it is working "checking for changed duplicate photos".
    Is this meant to be atrociously slow or am I missing something?

    Evidently this is designed to be attrociously slow...  I can't think of any good reason why we would see this result otherwise.  It's not like this is exactly a new issue with LR5.4...  Realistically, this is probably a fairly low priority item for the development team in comparison, say... to the develop module image processing performance.
    On a system that, practially speaking, has no effective resource bottlenecks: 2013 Mac Pro with disk that averages 850+MB/s read and write, 64 GB or RAM, 24 CPU cores, and a whole lot of OpenGL/CL GPU available, This is still going to take HOURS...
    LR 5.4 is "checking for changed duplicate photos" between two 137K photo catalogs (~2.8 GB each) where I expect there to be approximately >90% duplicates.
    I am seeing negligible disk I/O and it appears that LR is constrained to a single thread on a single CPU core for the entire scan/compare loop across the catalog data.

    Sampling the process via Mac OS Activity Monitor, the call graph shows that the "AsyncDataServer" thread is processing the majority of the workload during the "cheking for changed duplicate photos" phase of the catalog import.
    Considering this appears to be a single thread attempting to process all of the catalog data iteratively, it would be my primary suspect to consider for more love and attention towards parallelization of this code, perhaps via OpenCL on the GPU if each comparison is discrete and meets the various criteria for efficient GPU processing, otherwise, at least refactor for multi-threaded execeution on the CPU(s)...

    I got a xml schema which has more than 3 thousands of elements.
    I created xml table and tried to insert elements of the schema into the table.
    It took about 6 hours completed.

  • Migration assistant taking forever, says it has 127 hours till completion???

    Setup my mac before I wanted to transfer from my old computer. Today I connected my PC to my Mac via wifi using migration assistant. The only issue I am having is it's taken about 6 hours already with only about 1cm of loading. I am transferring about 450GB. I just checked it and it says it will be completed in approximately 127 hours!!! Any help would be great, I'm not sure what to do. I do not want to wait 5 days, that seems a bit stupid. Thanks

    Your router should have (at the least) three Ethernet ports and you can use a cable to directly connect to your router, rather than using WiFi. Your PC most certainly has an Ethernet port where you can plug the cable from the router.
    Depending on which MacBook Pro you have, it will either have an Ethernet port (non-Retina) or you can purchase a Thunderbolt>Ethernet adapter from Apple. Then you'd use a cable to plug into the router so that both machines would communicate much faster than over WiFi.

  • Why does the Install-SPSolution / Uninstall-SPSolution take exactly 8 hours to complete?

    I asked this question
    here before and didn't get a usable answer and I see other people are getting the same issue. I did some more testing, added a timer/t to my scripts and discovered that the Install-SPSolution / Uninstall-SPSolution always takes exactly
    8 hours to the minute to complete, no matter when I start it. I verified this over several refreshes of my webpart and it is always exactly 8 hours. This applies to both Central Admin and farm solutions. I hope that the duration of 8 hours
    to the minute does contain a clue to solve this issue.
    This is the PS1 script I use to install the CA component:

    Yah, no detail here but might be worth calling High-Rely and get a high performance backup NAS with 10gigE in it so you can hit the 24 hour window.

    Unfortunately you aren't giving enough information to answer this question. What are you using for backup software? The built in windows backup?
    The next question would be, is it possible to reduce how long it takes to back up? Unfortunately we don't know how much data you have, if it is mostly small files or large files, or what media you are backing up to. Tape? USB disk, Network storage? (If so what speed are the network links? 100Mb? 1Gb?
    You are very limited with scheduling inside of Windows Backup. You can use windows task scheduler to start backups however and perhaps run them every other day? Your other option would be under the settings tab for the task in Task Scheduler,
    "If the task is already running, then the following rule applies" Set this to Queue a new instance. It will wait for the previous backup to finish before...

  • Publishing is taking hours to complete!

    When I select "Publish" the little status pie chart is getting about 3/4 the way full and then it pauses for hours on end! It will eventually always publish, but it is taking way longer than it used to. Why is this?
