  • No Disk in the Drive Error When I open iTunes

When I open iTunes I get the error No Disk in the Drive. I can click on Cancel several times and iTunes will open, but this is very annoying.
Has anyone had this problem, and fixed it?

I am having a similar problem, but it has nothing to do with a card. I installed my iTunes successfully about five months ago and everything was fine. Then, at some point, I started getting that same error, which I just skip over about twenty times before it works. Some strange things did occur after this...
    1) I had a number of files that were saved in one of iTunes folder that suddenly were "erased". These songs areon my iPod but are not available in my libarary.
    2) Some songs that I have downloaded using LimeWire, and are in a separate shared folder are intermittantly showing up with an ! in my library, saying the file can't be found. I'll locate it with the prompt, and the ! will disappear...only to appear with a later launch. This will happen to different songs at different times with each launch, but from within that folder.
Any help out there? I'm tempted to uninstall the whole shebang and reinstall all over again.

  • Fatal error when I open Itunes and Quick time.

    EventType : BEX P1 : QuickTimePlayer.exe P2 : 7.4.5.67 P3 : 47edaedf
    P4 : QuickTimePlayer.exe P5 : 7.4.5.67 P6 : 47edaedf P7 : 0000130d
    P8 : c0000409 P9 : 00000000
cant uninstall quick time gives fatal error, stems from same error when I try to open Itunes.

Checking on a possible cause of similar symptoms. Have you ever install an ACE or K-Lite Mega Codec pack, a copy of QT Alternative or QT Lite, or a copy of Storm Codec on that PC?
(Checking on this because those programs, and some others, can install "QuickTime" componentry on the PC that can break a copy of the QuickTime on the PC, and as a consequence break iTunes. The "fatal error" when attempting to uninstall QuickTime is often a symptom of that, too.)

  • When I open itunes to play content I've already purchased and while attempting to view trailers for movies in the itunes store, I receive a generic error message from windows, and I'm directed to reinstall the latest version of itunes.  Not a fix.  Help?

When I open itunes to play content I've already purchased and while attempting to view trailers for movies in the itunes store, I receive a generic error message from windows, and I'm directed to reinstall the latest version of itunes.  Not a fix.  Help?

after perusing other subjects with playback issues:
    this is the fix:
-Launch Control Panel - Double click Quicktime, If you do not see quicktime, look on the top left side of control panel and switch to classic view. This will then allow you to see Quicktime.
-Now click the advanced tab and click on Safe Mode GDI Only, Apply, then ok.

  • I keep getting a error message when I open iTunes asking me to reinstall the 64 bit version. I have reinstalled but still get the message.

When I open iTunes I keep getting a error message asking me to reinstall iTunes 64 bit version. I have reinstalled but still get the message. Does anyone know a fix for this?

This is obviously a problem apple! Please look at your community boards and see that a number of people have issues with the latest update and sort out.
I have tried a number of times to install the update and have failed getting the same message as you. Tried with the 32 bit instead & no luck. Ive come on here to see if anyone else has a solution & found we all have the same problem. Someone else tried the old uninstall reinstall trick to no avail. Please sort this out apple!!

  • When I open iTunes I receive a message that says error 4002. How do I correct this error?

When I open iTunes I receive a message stating: "we could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (4002). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again".  I have uninstalled an re-downloaded iTunes and all its' components as recommended by an Apple support tech. This did not work, still getting error message. What to do?

    1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
    2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
    3. Check the USB cable
    4. Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
    5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
    6. If you just want to add some photos, songs and movies from computer to your devices, you can use an iTunes alternative to do the job.
    7. Check for third-party software conflicts.

    Hello ehoff5,
I would be concerned too if I was not able to play my music in iTunes.  It sounds like the music files may be in a location that iTunes is not expecting.  I recommend reviewing the following articles to locate you music files on your computer:

  • When I open itunes theres a message and then closes

When I open Itunes there's a message that says unknown error -45054 and the only option is to click okay and when I do it closes, why is that happening and what can I do to stop it. I'd appreciate any help

Open the iPhoto Library package as shown in this screenshot:
Look for a folder named "Importing" or "Import" (not Auto Import) and move it to the Desktop. Launch iPhoto and see if the message is gone.  If it is look in that folder and see if the image file(s) in there are any you want to preserver.  If so import them from the Desktop.
