My hp deskjet 1510 series does not print when connected to my hp lap top (windows Vista), it says the printer is not active, although it is default printer, connected and on. However, it does work when connected to the (also HP) lap top (windows 8) of my husband. I understand you're unable to print using the Deskjet 1510. I will do my best to assist you! When you reinstall the HP software, did the installation state it was complete?
I would start off by following this HP document on 'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the Printer Will Not Print. From this document, please make sure you check the connection type and the ports.

What brand and model is the router?

HP8615 Does not print in Windows 7

Just installed this printer, network attached. Every diagnostic says it's fine, and scanning works perfectly. I ran HP Print and Scan Doctor with no errors, and test page prints fine.
However, when I try to print a PDF file through Windows print dialog, nothing shows up in the print queue, and nothing prints.
If I try to print a test page through the Printer Properties menu, it report an error, but troubleshooting is not productive--can't identify the problem.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm about ready to return the printer and get my money back.

I have a few suggestions in mind for you, that may help with the printing problem you're having with your new Officejet 8615, on Windows 7.
1. Install Windows Updates (source)
2. Update Adobe:
Open Reader or Acrobat.
Choose Help - Check For Updates. If a new update is available, it installs automatically.
Once installed, restart you computer.
Try to print the PDF again.

3. Run the Print and Scan Doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for any conflicts that could be causing the issue. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there was a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.
4.Restart the Print Spooler:
1. Click Start
2. Type "Services" in the search field.
3. Open SERVICES
4. At the bottom, click "Extended View"
5. Search for Print Spooler
6. Right-click it and choose Properties
7. Select as Automatic in the drop down box, close the Window
8. Right click on Print Spooler and choose "Stop", wait until it stops and then right click again and "Start".
9. Close out of Services and try your print again.
5. Check for Firmware Updates:
Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates
Now test print from Notepad, and from where ever else you wish.

Laserjet P1006 does not print in windows 7 x64 even though the status of the printer is "printing"

No error message
No changes made to system, it never worked after installing Windows 7 64-bit
- printer properly installed and recognized as ready when plugged in
- when trying to print everything goes normal: document added in printer queue > printer status changes to printing
- but it just stays in "printing" for a few minutes and then it acts like it successfuly printed the document, showing to error, clearing the queue and going back to ready status
- and no page is being printed
- the printer harware works, because on other operating systems is has no problems (tested on two other computers): with other OS it works but with windows 7 x64 it doesn't work on another computer either
Can anyone help me with this?

HP Photosmart D5460 does not print in Windows 7 32-bit

I installed Windows 7, installed the driver suggested from HP (PS_SF_03_D5400_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe), with no problems but when I try to print (e.g. with notepad) the document is self-deleted from the printer-queue.

Reader does not print from Windows 7 Pro 64.

When I try to print on a PC running on Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit I get the message "First install a printer.. etc"
I have two printers installed, one directly attached to the PC, the other through a home network. From the other PC 's no problem. They rum W7 home premium 32 bit. Printing goes fine with other applications on all PC 's.
Who knows the solution?

Could be a lot of reasons. First try to print a supplies status page- If that prints with color on it, you have a driver problem.

We have the same problem with our TOSHIBA e-STUDIO6540C. We've tried different versions of adobe reader, even acrobat and many times it will only print some pages of any given document. Did you find a solution? To me it sounds like a toshiba issue but just wondering.

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

This procedure is much too complicated for an average user. You know that millions of Wondow XP users are switching to Windows 7. I' sure that most of them are facing similar problems. HP should come with a user friendly solution that solves the above issues. Don't you think?

I see that your HP Deskjet D2300 series driver not working in windows 7.
Do you see any error messages with the installer? Or does it just close out and doesn't install?
In the meantime, please try using our HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

Manual feed tray 1 on printer HP 4015TN does not print unless I hit the OK button.

I have an HP 4015 Tn which was working fine up until 3-4 weeks ago. The problem is when I send a document to the manual-feed tray one, it flashes the "Attention" red indicator and I have to hit OK button on the printer for the document to print.My printer is setup for envelope, letterhead in tray 1, letter plain in tray 2 and legal in tray 3.My PC is a 64 bit running Windows 7 with the latest updates.Any suggestions in how to correct this problem will be greatly appreciated.Thank you
