44601 vocal message icon issues

I receive prompt text messages about vocal message that read "44601 Vocal message 1 new 0 urgent" but there is no corresponding vocal message on my phone. Also, I can not erase the notification through Hub menu.  The little tape record icon remains on my main screen.  Anybody knows what could I do to get rid of it?

  • Unable to Open Images in Bridge CS3 and Continuing Icon issues!

Re: Icon issues in Bridge CS3 and also with Photo Downloader that have never been there before.
So, these are the issues.   Just one of the folders that previously would show thumbnails now only shows DNG icons, and none will open in Photoshop to let me work on previous image.    Issue #2  - can't download images with Photo Downloaders - both my wife's Canon G9 only shows CR2 icons, and my Nikon D300 only shows NEF icons - neither of these issues had appeared before or been an issue.  Third issue.  None of my Bridge folders - even those with regular thumbnail immages- will open now - get a message that says words to the effect of Photoshop doesn't recognize this type of file.  Computer is a Mac, with OS 10.5.8
I recently tried to make more room on HD, so must have taken some critical files/commands out by accident.
Thanks for your time and previous  suggestions - still not working.  I'm sure that in trying to correct things have made things even worse- as may be noticed  by the two snapshots I've attached.  The first is one from a library from my user section.  The second library image is from my hard drive.  Hopefully you and others aren't laughing or crying too much over what you see - redundantcy, etc!  All of my energies have focused on taking photos, obviously none to proper setup/use of organizing things on my Mac.  But after the laughing has stopped, any help will be tremendously appreciated - am most anxious to getting back to working with and saving images.

    Thanks in advance

First of all, if you don't know much about how applications work inside of the OS, its wise to not look in the application folder(s). Deleting anything here can make your apps go haywire. If this happened, then you are best to 1)unregister photoshop, 2) uninstall your entire suite. 3) reinstall the suite and finally 4) reregister photoshop.
All images/textures/photo's including dng, cr2 and nef files need to be stored in your pictures folder and no where else, unless you're an intermediate user on your OS. In your pictures folder you can create folders for organizing the pictures whether by location, season's, time, or file format.
Then when you back up you can just drag a copy of the files to another drive including cd's or dvd's.
This will make sure you don't accidently delete important app files.
All this said, my OS of choice is Windows, so if anything does not sound right, thats why.
    Hopefully this helps...

  • Selecting Messages or Text Messages Icon takes me to the recent calls screen instead.

    Hi,
    This just started yesterday.
When I select either Messages or Text Messages icon I am not taken to those apps, Instead I get the recent calls screen.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    Try this -
When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which resolves minor issues with the BlackBerry device.

  • After update, several problems (battery, factory recovery, Message icon)

After Froyo update, I found out several problems.
    1) Battery.
It drains two times faster than before. My one does. My wife's one is worst (maybe 3-4 times faster and also the phone is hotter than mine).
    2) Factory Recovery option
I could not find any factory recovery button from mine and wife's.
    3) "Message" icon
My one has no "Message" icon. It has just three icons "Pone/Contacts/Applications" at the bottom of the screen.
But my wife's has all four icons "Phone/Contacts/Message/Applications"
I don't know how to correct these.

It sounds like most of your issues can be found by doing a factory restore on the phone.  Settings>privacy>factory data reset. The icons are customizable.  Press icon to bring up all icons.  Touch and hold on the icon you want on the main screen. You can touch and hold on a blank spot on home screen to add a widget.
As for battery issues, the issue has been escalated to Samsung, and we are working with them to get a resolution as quickly as possible.
Let us know if that helps out!

  • New Message Icon - Can't find the messages! :)

Okay so I've had my BlackBerry Curve 8310 for a week now.  Just been tooling around with it to learn how it works on my own.  Today I was trying to register the BIS to log into my email account to create a filter to stop sending my Gmail Sent mail back to my phone (so annoying).  Anyway, Tried registering as a new user via PC.  I entered my PIN and IMEI and it told me that an account already existed for that PIN.  I thought that was strange, I hadn't registered before?  SO just out of curiousity I clicked on the 'forgot my password' link and had it sent to my phone.  I see an icon saying I have a new messge however I cannot FIND the message.  Thought I did something stupid or wrong so I clicked resend for the password and again I see now I have two and then three new messages (third time is supposed to be the charm right?) on the icon but can't find these messages!  I looked in SMS/MMS folder, looked in Gmail and BlackBerry mail folders but still cannot locate these messages!  Where the heck did they go??
BTW I finally registered with the BIS through my phone and was able to complete it there and then logged onto my PC and created the filter I wanted.  So I'm cool with that.  I just need to get that stupid new message icon off my phone.  Dunno if it helps but when I get new emails, the number on the message icon increases, so it must be something to do with email..?
    Please Help!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
    Try this:
    Homescreen > Messages > > Search
Set as follows (may vary depending on your device OS level):
    Search Type: Local
    Name In: Any Address Field
    Subject Message: <leave blank>
    Include Encrypted Messages: Yes
    Service: All Services
    Folder: All Folders
    Show: Unopened Only
    Type: All
That should return to you all unopened messages from all message conduits.
Good luck and let us know!

The message icon shows 1 unread message when there are acvtually none. How do I fix this?

Given that you are very low in memory on your iPhone, it would be much easier to connect your phone to your computer and download iOS 8.1 via iTunes.  Memory won't be an issue this way.

  • E-mail Account And Messages Icon

Am I supposed to have my e-mails showing up in the messages catagory? I get my text messages in the proper place but I also get my e-mails there as well. I have an e-mail Icon but I get redundant  e-mails because they show up in both catagories. Did I set things up wrong and how do I stop the emails from going to the messages Icon? Or should I eliminate the email Icon and just have them all come to one place? It's a pain trying to organize the emails when I have to do it twice. Thanks

    Hello MrSteve777,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
The messages icon is the main icon where all the messages and notifications go to on the BlackBerry Smartphone. If you have multiple email addresses configured on your BlackBerry Smartphone all of the emails will go into the messages folder. They will also show up under their email icons as well. You cannot disable this feature it is by design. However you can separate your SMS and MMS inbox from your Messages folder. To do so please follow the attached knowledge base link.

  • My message icon vanished

My message icon on the main screen "menu" vanished. I can no longer receive messages, and all the messages that I had stored vanished, since the message icon disappeared. I seem however, able to send messages by going to the email, but instead of composing email, i compose sms. However, I never get any replies.
The message icon disappeared approximately two weeks ago. I went to the 02 store and the technical assistant took my phone for about 30 minutes, and then gave it back to me, saying he had no idea what had happened. He initially thought it had been "hiden" but it appears to be no where!!!! I really want to get my message folder/icon back, this is really frustrating! Please can you help!?!??

    Hi madalenass,
Is your email address still showing in Email Settings on your device? You can check by following this article. http://bit.ly/gUphxD
If you can see the email address listed in Email Settings, make sure the Messages icon isn't hidden. On your main screen press the Menu key and choose Show All. Try this in all folders in case the icon was moved.
If its not hidden, try resending your service books as shown here. http://bit.ly/arryZE

  • Problem with "Direct Send Messages" icon on 8350i

The other day I updated the firmware on my 8350i to v4.6.1.128.  I immediately noticed one of the improvements was that Direct Send info from Direct Connect calls weren't filling up my Messages inbox anymore and were instead grouped into one message for each individual contact, instead of one for each time they chirped me.  I also noticed a new blue folder icon on the home screen called "Direct Send Messages," which I figured once clicked on, would take me to my inbox filtered to only display those types of messages - much like the individual icons for each of the multiple email inboxes I have setup (AOL, GMail, etc.).  I also assumed that they would no longer appear in my main Messages app but instead be routed to the new icon much like my MMS messages since I have my inbox options set to "Theme controlled" - but again that is just an assumption and not a big deal for me.
Unfortunately when I click on the "Direct Send Messages" icon, nothing happens.  I am however able to use the "View Folder" menu option in my main Messages app and then select the "Direct Send Messages" folder from there and it works correctly.  I don't know if this is a known issue with the new update or not.
Any suggestions on how to get this working correctly?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Wow! Formal support for all BBs is via the carriers...for them to blow you off like that is pretty horrible. I'd suggest contacting them again and push them a little bit more...you have a support agreement with them, if they are not honoring it, escalate with them.
In the meantime, are you on their most recent device OS level? If not, then you might consider updating to see if indeed what they have said holds some kernel of truth. You can check their DL site via this portal:

  • N96 - Blinking Message Icon on screen

    Hi,
I just bought the phone yesterday and the message icon keeps blinking all the time. I have rebooted the phone and done the necessary checks. There are no messges in my inbox or any other folder. Can you tell me how do I turn it off? It's kinda irritating...!
It just keeps on blinking ALL THE TIME!!!
Other than that... I've had no issues till now.

The blinking envelope icon appears to be a reminder that you have your old SMSs still stored on your SIM card, and N96 needs them to be transferred to the phone memory -ether internal, mass storage or memory card- to properly display and manage them.

Please help, not too adept at technology so simplistic terms would help! The envelope message icon shows 1 at the top of my screen and the message and e mail icons at the bottom of the screen when I put the cursor on them show (1) denoting a message but when I open the message and e mail message boxes there are no messages in. • Curve 9300 - New Unknown Icon next to New Messages Icon

    Evening,
A new and unknown icon has appeared next to the new messages icon.  It is a white envelope with a black splodge in the centre and a red circle in top right corner.  It is not clear what is in the black splodge or red circle - could be an exclamation mark in the red circle.  The Icons and Indicators guide does not show this one.
It also does not refere to any messages from any app that I can work out.
    Any clues?

It IS a third-party app that's causing it and the third-party app is from Motek.  It's called Two In One Flashlight or something like that.  Do you have that app installed on your phone?

  • No message-icon after update

    Hello!
Updated my z1 yesterday and now I have a problem to see if I have received a message or not when I've "locked" the screen... There's no message-icon on the top of the screen as it was before update.
This means I have to enter my phone password everytime to see if I have received messages....
Any tips to get this back? Annoying to log on every second to see if I got a message or not..
    Thank you.

Have you recently updated to 4.4?Have you tried a forced restart(power button+vol up until the phone vibrates)?

  • How can I get my instant message icon to open? Seems to be stuck.

I wrote several instant messages this morning on my AirMac. No problem. Went back to read and respond to new IM, but IM icon will not open. If the IM comes in when I am on the computer, I can read it in the upper right hand corner of my MacBook Air before it goes away, but I cannot respond. Can anyone tell me how to open the Instant Message icon?

Try clicking on the apple symbol at the top left of the screen and chosing "Force Quit" and then close IM.
Once its closed it should reopen without a problem
