46G300U1 - Try to turn TV off, but then it turns itself on again
Symptom
1. When I turn off the TV, it turns off, and then turns itself back on (equivalent to a "Restart" on a Windows PC).
2. This also happens when it in Sleep timer mode, i.e. The timer turns TV off, then the TV turns back on.
Frequency
1. Does not happen all the time.
2. Seems to have started when the new "Wii U" is connected to it. But even then, it does not happen all the time.
My Workaround - Physically unplug the TV from power, then plug it back. Then it is back to normal.
Any one have any ideas?
I'm having this problem, started about a week ago. I tried a factory reset and it did not help. I have model 46G300U1. Unplugging the TV is the only way that I know it will stay off.
TV will randomly turn itself back on. It does not always happen after a few seconds. For example, last night I turned off the TV and sat in the same room for a few minutes and it did not turn back on. However, when I checked this morning, it was back on.
I'm running the latest firmware.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

You have to force it to shutdown and leave it for 5-10 minutes and try to turn it on again

My power management scheme: turn off monitor after 2 min of inactivity; turn off hard discs after 5 min of inactivity. doesn't work reliably anymore. Usually, with Firefox installed, the system powers down after the preset times but then comes right back on again after a few seconds. If I restart the machine, my selected power management scheme works properly for a few cycles but then reverts to the mode of turning back on after a few seconds after having shut down.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).<br />

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.<br />

when i signed in it recognized my name and password
but then it asks formy password again but the email address i cant edit and it says like randompeoples from my buddy list i must of shared music or something with its so weird and it doesnt say mine so i cant put my passwordGo to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account. Then log in using a different ID.

unable to bootup after Yosemite install. have to keep shutting down from rear button. it does come on after a few times but then hangs at user login again. If you get in it is great. Seems faster than Mavericks but there is some sort of issue, bootup /login.
Knock on wood, this seems to have been my problem as well. I stumbled on this thread after dealing with this ridiculously-long boot times for the past several weeks.
I just reinstalled McAfee Antivirus and my Macbook Air booted up in less than 1 minute. No more hanging on the boot-up progress bar. No more hanging after I click on my user's avatar on the log-in screen. Bootup would often take 5+ minutes and sometimes never complete.
This has been SUPREMELY frustrating.

To get rid of "pop-up ads and other crap on my computer when I am on the internet", click on Safari in the Menu bar, and select Preferences. Next select Extensions. Delete all of them. Restart Safari.
The first step in addressing the black screen is an SMC reset.
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

I just downloaded the IOS upgrade, 7.0.2, and now my iPhone 5 won't pair with my Bluetooth in my car, despite repeated attempts to re-pair the two and despite the fact it's been paired fine previously. The car system tells me it's paired but then when I try to make a call I get another message that says there is no paired phone.
You can't override it no matter what you do. The device has to connect to the server to complete the iOS update. You could try rebooting the iPad and see if that lets you connect to the server after it starts up.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that will not work, you can try connecting to iTunes on your computer and see if the activation will complete. Sometimes when thes activation issues arise, you end up having to restore the device again, but first things first. Reboot and see what happens. -
hi please help i pressed my home button on my i phone 5 this morning to check the time and the screen went big as if its zoomed in i have switched the phone off but when it came back on the screen is still big i cant connect to i tunes either as i have a pass code on my phone i cant type it in as the screen is to big. please has anyone got any ideas on how to fix this.

I can't add too much to the above. I get the message that it is "Downloading the update", tells me to restart Firefox but when it opens it again tries to update but then doesn't get beyond "Connecting to the update server."

rigght after i got the ios 7 update i noticed everything from my icloud was on my phone i dont want all that stuff on here so i plugged it into my computer and its saying that i need the latest version of itunes i have downloaded it twice and i am still getting the same error message. So my question is how am i supposed to download the latest version of itunes if its not working. it says for a Windows computer the update is 11.0.5 but i need 11.1 what am i supposed to do ?
you dont need computer. go to settings > icloud and turn off what you dont want like photostream/calendars/contacts. for itunes 11.1 you need to go to itunes.com and download it then install it.

Yah so i play music and it stops like in a middle of a song and annoys me just upgraded to iOS5 and didnt happen until i upgraded?
Try restarting your iPod first.

I can be on the mac for I can be on my mac for hours or ten minutes but as soon as connect to the internet it turns off completely every time
