46YL863: Changing TV channels - delay before new picture appears
Hope someone can advise me please on an 'issue' that's recently arisen with my 46YL863 TV.
I say 'issue' rather than problem in case it's something to do with my settings that is causing this.
When I change TV channels I'm noticing that there is a several second delay from the current picture to the new one. I've narrowed it down to it only happening when switching from an HD channel to an SD one, or from an SD to an HD.
In these circumstances the screen first goes black, then blue and after a couple more seconds the new channel picture appears.
Changing between HD channels or SD channels and the new picture appears almost immediately.
This has not been happening prior to the last couple of days, so either a fault has developed or I've changed a setting somehow.
I've tried other HDMI input sockets and situation is the same.
Any suggestions please?

Further, I've now noticed that when playing back a recording from my Humax box, before the programme plays I get a few seconds of black screen before the picture appears. That didn't happen before. Don't know therefore if the problem's with my TV or the Humax Foxsat box.

My new Airport Extreme has a very poor range and see that devices sold within the U.S.A have the ability to increase the power of the device by selecting an higher channel on the 5GHz frequency. I'm not suffering interference and my original non branded modem/router supplied by my ISP is outperforming the Airport Extreme. Apple technical support has not diagnosed any problem with the device and believe it is working normally.
Is there anyway of changing the frequency?What channel is 5ghz working on??
I doubt a higher channel will help.. the extra power output at the higher frequency does not even make up for the lower range.. ie range is better using 36-40 than higher channels even with the power boost.
At least that is my experience .. on Gen4 TC.
AFAIK channel changes are not sticking.. that is a fault in the airport utility.. have you tried from iOS device or using 5.6.1 utility on windows.. which apparently can still access some of the deeper menu items.. although the changes may simply not stick.
US and UK might also have different regs for power output.. I would think it would set output as high as regulations permit.. -
IPhone 4s text conversation requires backing out before new messages appear.
Really strange question here... but I've got a new 4s (just purchased today)... and here is what happens:
I'm in a texting conversation with a friend. I don't leave the conversation screen at all (so my last message sent is still on the screen). I can see the person typing their reply (in iMessage). My phone will then play the new text sound/vibrate... but the message doesn't show up in the conversation screen. For me to see the new message... I have to back out of the conversation and go into messages... where the "new message" blue bubble will show up.
What I'm wondering is... why in the world does that new message not simply show up in the conversation screen? Why do I have to back out completely to see new messages?
Any help would be VERY much appreciated. I've tried looking in the Message settings, but with no luck.
Thanks!Just to clarify, since restoring the phone the message issue seems to be resolved, however I would like to find out why it's respringing and why the issue with the messages was occuring. It's starting to get annoying to have a phone that resets all the time and I really don't want a device that I have to restore every week or so.

I find "Retry Settings" in "Software Distribution Component Properties". But I think it work for Distribution, not the installation. am I right?First, are you referring to packages or applications because the behavior is different.
Also, why do you want it to retry a failure? It failed for a reason so you need to fix the cause of the failure first. If it failed the first, it will likely fail the next time for the same reason. In general, ConfigMgr will only retry on transient type
errors.

If mean by way of Safari, that is correct. Only content of the Camera or Photos apps are available. you will need to find an alternate app such as iCab Mobile for uploading documents to a website.

ive changed my hard drive on my pc tower does that mean my iphone 5 is not synced anymore so if i want to add a new pictures folder will it erase my other pictures?
Each time you sync photos from a computer to an iPhone using iTunes, the non-Camera Roll photos on the phone are set to match the current settings/selections on the photos page of iTunes. If you moved your previously synced photos to the new computer and if you select them to be synced to the phone along with any new photos you want synced then they will all go to the phone. If you don't include them in the selection to be synced, they will be deleted from the phone. Note that you can rearrange the old photos into different photos on the computer if desired, sync just some of them if desired, etc. Each time you sync, the phone is set to match the current settings for photos.

trying to import photos and copy as DNG. Nothing will upload though. Permissions are all accurate, saving to the right profile, etc. Nothing has changed on my computer but it will not let me import new pictures. Also, updated the software and some images say "preview cannot be seen" and some don't. And when I try to import and I hit "new photos" it's all the photos on my card. My brain is about to explode.
It said something similar where the thumbnails were supposed to be.

Any way to change delay before voicemail picks up?
My wife's iphone swithces to voicemail after the third or fourth ring (She is using "Old phone,"), and she misses a lot of calls. Is there a way to alter the delay before voicemail picks up? I looked in settings, searched some, and couldn't find any information. Thanks.

Contact Customer Care at 1-800-331-0500 or dial 611 from your wireless phone to change the amount of time your phone will ring before going to voice mail. The adjustments made by Customer Care are based on the traditional ring heard by the caller, not the unique Ringtone you hear from your phone.
I chose to speak with a Customer Care representative and easily extended the time to 30 seconds.

Every keystroke or mouse click results in a 10 sec or more delay before responding. Suggestions??
Each time I type something or click my mouse, there is a delay before the keystrokes are recognized, or the mouse click has any results. This delay be as little as 5 secs but go up to as much as 15 secs. Very frustrating and a time waster if you add it all up.

When I create function that allow flash to detect object's velocity, a problem happen. I can't put delay before 'return' executed. It's cause result of function is null or 0. There's the script:

I have changed provider and had a new router . Laptop was chaneged wifi frequency but iPad was not. The ipad is 32gb and is now going very slowly like dial up. The laptop is only 4gb and is faster. The speed if Internet is about 6.5. it worked fine before we chaneged provider . Do I need to change wifi channel or does it do it automatically. How do you changed it ?
Try a new channel on your router, most router has a web interface, use your computer browser try http://192.168.0.1

Since I've instaled the Airpor express, everithing connected to it works properly, My wifi network signal is good and I able to browse with my mac air, bu with my I-phone 4S even though the signal apears to be good and on the it shows is connected to my wifi network I can't open any web-site, instead I keep getting the same message: "Cannot Open Page - Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding.", wich is not true because I'm connected with my lap-top. The sound wifi system works perfectly but reggarding the wifi on my 4S I've tried changing through different chanels on the Airport (I saw people were having the same problem and aparently by changing the channels on the Airport the internet on the phone worked properly, but I'm still stuck with a brand new I-phone unable to opem my pages) I've also tried changing the Radio modes and still nothing.

How to log in with my old Apple account? I forgot my pass and I did change my apple ID before canceling first?? Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

I connected my iphone 4s to my macpro for the first time to add some musci, I didn't touch the apps folder. But after ejecting, I can't open any of the apps I downloaded. When I press on them, they just shake but nothing opens!
