4G icon not showing up on status bar/ not able to send/receive messages

Anyone having this issue? I already read troubleshooting guide and tried all fixes....next stop the AT&t store

    This issue ONLY happens with her, even when I'm at places that have horrible service, I receive messages/calls from everyone except her after I leave the trouble areas.  My phone tells me she is receiving my messages when she claims she isn't, her phone tells her I am receiving her messages when I am not.

    I have a friend, who is also through Verizon, and we are both having issues being able to send/receive text messages to/from each other.  I have no other issues with anyone else, only this one number.  I have checked that both phones are running current updates, I have a Lumia 928, she has an Android phone I'm unfamiliar with.  But we only have the issues with each other.

    Try this: Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. After that, check if you can already sends SMS

    Are you specifically referring to SMS/MMS or iMessage? Here is a support document about troubleshooting Messages. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3367
    Also, if none of this helps, you may want to contact the carrier, as SMS/MMS is a carrier function. If it is iMessage you are referring to, then check to see it is activated.

    Did you subscribe for BIS or paid the amount to your service provider? If so call them and request assitance with setting up your BB for internet. If you are already subscribed you can check on Manage Connections, Mobile Network Options, Data Services should be set to "On". But I suspect your BIS is not configured by your service provider so call them.

    It appears you might need a Yahoo plus account to utilize it as an SMTP server.    The server address is plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    Other than that, I would contact Yahoo support directly.  Ask them if they require password authentication. If they do, usually your e-mail address is your username.  Often they require port 587, 2626, or 2662.  Only Yahoo would know for certain which one to use.

    Are you entering a 10 digit number? Or, if it is not a North American number or you are not in North America, are you entering "+" followed by the country code and number?

    I bought a Nokia 5800 in India last summer. I used a local SIM card (Airtel) when I was there. I was able to send/receive text messages when I was in India.
    I came back to Chicago and replaced the Airtel SIM card on my 5800 with my AT&T sim card. I have a pay-as-you-go service with AT&T. I had used a Sony-Ericsson Z300a phone with my AT&T service before I bought my 5800. I did not have any problems sending/receiving text messages with the Sony-Ericsson phone using my AT&T SIM card.
    I don't have any problems using my 5800 with my AT&T SIM card for calling or sending/receiving multimedia messages. I just cannot send or receive any text messages. I have checked the message center number setting on my 5800 and it appears to be correct. I have also done a hardware reset of the 5800 and the problem remains.
    Any clues?

    Hello parsar. Even if you have the correct Message Center number there, it's worth a try to delete the existing one and enter the correct one afresh. Make sure you have the latest firmware on your phone, and that there are no applications that may interfere with sending/receiving sms, like some filtering software.

    And, pakiboy, resetting to factory settings (by typing *#7780#) will NOT delete anything in the phone memory.

    How are your company's email addresses being forwarded to the BlackBerry smartphones?
    Are you using an BlackBerry Enterprise Server?
    If you are using the BlackBerry Internet Service, are the email accounts being forwarded to a <carrier>.blackberry.net email address or to another integrated email address? If they are not, are they integrated as POP, IMAP, or OWA in the BlackBerry Internet Service accounts?

  • Not able to send instant message through CLP

    Hello All,
    I am a beginner in portals.
    I am doing a test assignment on collaboration.
    1.I have enabled the Collaboration Launch Pad.
    2.Now when I click on the link, CLP opens. I have added some contacts to it.
    3.Then I tried to send an instant message and then I get the error:
    Could not open a new instant-messaging session. All invitees are offline. Try again later.
    I know that some configurations need to be done to be able to send the instant message.
    Please let me know the configuration steps for the same or any relevant document.
    Please help me with this.

    Please check the collaboration contacts is portal users.
    Make sure that other portal user also logged in the portal for sending instance message.
    OR you can try to loging with two differnet portal userid and try to use instant-messaging functinality by sending message.

  • Having problems with sending/receiving iMessages.  Have tried everything listed by apple to diagnose the issue.  I'm still not able to send/receive iMessages

    I have attempted everything to fix the issue.  I've restarted the phone, reset network settings, logged out and back into Apple ID.  Still nothing.  I am able to send regular text messages, just not iMessages.  Facetime also works. 
    Any suggestions?

    My Mother did what you said for the Spam and my number was in there about 100 times. She deleted all them. Deleted me as a contact and then rebooted, then she text me and I text her back and I went right into the Spam again. I told her to tell TMobile this so then can maybe help and remove my number from Spam on their end.\

    "Texting" from an iPad is using iMessage which can only communicate with an Apple device.
    True texting (SMS) cannot be done on an iPad as it requires a cellular connection.
