4G iPod Touch Wi-Fi overheat + Screen Problem

I recently acquired this 4th gen iTouch, and it's safe to say that I'm in love with the product (I'd had a 2nd gen itouch before). However, after a couple of hours of messing around with it (just downloading apps/browsing websites) I noticed the back got sort of hot. I know this is a common problem (if one may even call it that), but that's not what bothers me. What does, however, is that whenever my iTouch gets a little warm (I'm guessing it's because of the Wi-Fi, since it gets hot around the top right corner, where the camera is located) parts of my screen (around the top) stop working. Also, when this occurs, floating a finger above said area makes the screen react without really touching the ipod.
Is this normal? What do i do to fix it?

Yeah, all I was doing really was playing a game for 30 mins and my ipod got pretty hot all of a sudden.
Also: I kept it turned off for an hour or so, to see if it would start working normally again, but not only is the screen still unresponsive towards the top, but it says i'm connected to Wi-Fi but Safari (and every other app) tells me I'm not. :/

IPod Touch 5th Gen. Screen Problem?

I've been using iPodTouch 5th gen. for like one month or so
Recently I found out a problem.
When I activate "Music" App and play the song, lock screen and listen to music for few minutes, the problem occurs.
As I click the Wake/Sleep Button, the screen lights up but occasionally, at 4 edges of display, the color turns green for about 2secs??
FIrst I didn't know it was real, but I noticed this more than 20 times recently
does it happen to yours, too?

I have not seen that problem reported here before. You can try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

My iPod Touch 3rd Gen is having problems with the touch screen being unresponsive, too responsive, freezing and constantly resizing. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix?

My iPod Touch (3rd Gen) is having problems with the touch screen being unresponsive, too responsive, freezing and constantly resizing. It varies between not responding when I tap the screen and acting as if I double-tap or tap and hold when I tap. Every so often it freezes for a minute or so and then comes back. The scren is constantly changing sizes too such that I often can't see most of the top status bar or other edges. This makes typing almost impossible, ruins most games and generally makes everything difficult, but otherwise the iPod is working correctly. Powering off, shutting down apps, letting it sit have not worked. This has happened once before months ago, but the issue resolved itself somehow. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix?

Another New IPod Touch Owner with Wi-fi Problems.
I have been working at this for about 4 hours now with no success and I am getting pretty frustrated, so if it show up in my typing please ignore it. I just don't understand why these multi-million dollar companies can't write a manual or put up a web site that can actually help someone with a problem.
Ok, venting aside.
I am running a gateway computer.
Operating System = XP
Router = Linksys WRT54G
I have two other computers that are working fine with the existing wireless net work and have been for some time.
I'm pretty good with my computer but haven't touched my router since initial set-up and all that was done was a basic set up.
My I-pod is searching for a network and I'm three feet away from it but it doesn't find it.
I printed out my wireless setting. I presume SSID name equals the name box on the ipod-touch
Security = WEP
What seems to be kicking my A$$ is the password. The route setting have never been changed so I would pesume the password should be the default "admin" which I put in (JOIN) and get the "Could not find network" screen
So, I have perused this message board trying to discover and answer to mine, and and apparently many others question with no definitive results.
So I guess what I and everybody else needs is a step by step how to guide on how to discover the info needed and enter in what we need to make this work.
Thanks in advance to anybody that can actually help with this issue. A step by step do this would be nice.

Thank you Terpfen for replying, and please excuse my ill temper earlier. I've calmed down some now.
Step: 1 followed step one previously, Main screen, settings, Wi-Fi. Also set power down to 5 min to give I-Pod plenty of time to find network.
Wi-Fi Network Screen.
Wi-Fi ON
Choose a Network (searching indicator) symbol spinning.
Other ...
Ask to Join Networks ON
At this point the I-pod does not find any networks available. The indicator just spins but never returns any results. I am 3 feet for my WRT54G router.
Hence the easy connect isn't connecting.
The next step. is to manually set-up the connection.
Main screen, setting, Wi-Fi, Other.
press "Other" which brings up two fields

Security ___________
First Question? Which Name are they looking for. when I went to my router 192.168.1.1 It has the name linksys. However, when I go to my Wireless Network setting it has the name * ???? * which is different than Linksys router.
Now, since one of the goals here is file sharing I presume I should be using the Wireless Network settings name. (which I have tried.)
Next is security, Wireless Network setting indicate setting for WEP Once this is selected you then back-up to the "Enter Network Setting Screen" and you now have a password line added.
Now I have never set a password for the router so the password for the router is the default Password "admin" And I don't recall ever setting a password for my network setting. But, I only use about three different passwords and a cycled through them still with no success.
So, I need some expert advise on how and where to find the info to input into the required field to work or what I need to reset in my router to make this work.
Thanks again for anyone who has constructive input to resolve my and probably many other peoples issues with this problem.

Overheating ipod touch 4g and battery life problem

my ipod touch start to overheat when i use app such as camera, madpad, other 3d games, and also when i use apps that requires sounds...
and also the battery life of my ipod touch drains really fast.. i have my ipod touch more than a month and the first few weeks its ok.. but after a month it starts to heat up... i usually play games in 2d in 5hrs but now i can barely play for about 3 hrs or below and when i play 3d games i usually play for about 3hrs or more but now 2hrs or below with no sounds.. i thought IOS 5 could fix it but it didn't.. does anyone have the same problem?? do you think apple could repair it or replace it with a new one????

it is possible that the idevice came a little hot when you use it
its like a computer more you rush it more it become hot
for your batterie it depend on how you use your device and how you charge it by example:
do you whate until your batt is empty beffor chaging it or you charging it any time you add a chance
because if you dont drain all the batt beffor charging it, it affect te life durration and te number of time bettwen each charge
and your device setting can also affect your charge duration like:
1. device brightnes.. at max
2. wi-fi enable
3. bluetooth enable
4. sound volume
5. ect..

So this guy is trying to sell me a 4th gen itouch without a screen for cheap. How much would it cost to get a brand new screen if everythin else works, and i went to my local apple store?

I doubt Apple will do anything since App exchanges iPod for a refurbished one but says:
