4G shown but not actually working, 3G working but my phone is not always in - in the Silicon Valley!
I have a Samsung Note 2 and was enjoying 4G LTE almost everywhere I work and live. Since several months ago, the LTE connection near my work is very intermittent or almost useless, even though the phone shows "4G" on the screen. It usually keeps showing "4G" but transfers too little data to show a meaningful webpage. If it does go to the "3G" mode, which occurs only some days, data transfer becomes just fine. Even if 3G can't be faster than "normal" 4G, in my case it is at least usable. However, as far as I know, there is no way to lock Verizon Note 2 in the 3G mode.
Therefore, I cannot use Verizon's mobile internet near my work, where I spend most of my days! It is especially inconvenient when I go for a break or lunch and do not find wifi.
It shouldn't be my phone problem, since I have no problem at home (and almost everywhere else nearby) to use 4G. I still have an old unlimited data plan but do not use many GB a month (usually way less than 2GB).
By the way, my work is right in the middle of the Silicon Valley! Isn't this funny that we have a serious connection problem here?

I have had this problem for many months already. Before that, there was no problem inside the building. Now, I have this problem even outside in this flat area. It is sometimes better (slow but showing a webpage) but usually so bad (stops while loading or just shows a bad connection message).

You need to refresh the page (F5) to update the items in the download menu. Apparently YouTube refreshes the page in such a way that the extension doesn't gets notified, so you need to refresh the page manually if you want to download a media file from this page.

ohkay.... so my iphone decided to turn off on me while i tryd opening the app. clash of clans, and when i turned it back on, it displayed the apple logo for 10 - 15 seconds on the screen before fading out and shutting down. i have tryd all recomnded steps and none have worked. my itunes detects my phone in recovery mode, but after retrieving all necesary data for the restore process. when itunes prompts waiting for iphone, the apple logo is dsplayed on the screen for 10 - 15 seconds and then fades out and shuts down... has anybody found a fix for this problem?It's quite probable that your iPhone has a hardware problem. Contact Apple Support or make an appointment at an Apple Store and have your iPhone evaluated.

My iphone contacts are not updating to Icloud or Outlook, I can create a contact in Icloud/Outlook and it will update to my Iphone but I cannot create a contact on my Iphone to have it update in the Cloud/Outlook, I am using Itunes as the bridge. I originally installed the Icloud manager to sync my contacts to Cloud/Outlook, but I did not like the functionality, when I uninstalled the Cloud manager and and installed Itunes I noticed that the none of my contacts in the phone updated to Outlook.

I have tried to restore my i phone 3gs using a USB cable connecting to itunes.The process has gone smoothley but i am now getting this message on my i phone;"your i phone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable.Try connecting your i phone to itunes to activate it,or try again in a few minutes.I have been trying and trying again and switched off my firewall too.but still getting this message.Can anyone please advise me?That is almost always because the phone was hacked to unlock it from the original carrier.

When my husband and I first bought our iPhones, I was the only one with an Apple ID (since he never used iTunes). He used my apple id to get apps. Now he has his own ID, but my apple ID email address keeps popping up on his phone when he tries to download an app. We do not want to have all of the same apps on our phones. How can we change the ID on his phone? I already tried going to Settings>iTunes &App Store> and changing the Apple ID to his account email and that did not solve the problem. To make things worse, I recently changed my Apple ID email address (without getting a new ID) and I do not remember my old password (and this is the address that is popping up on his phone). He does not have any music on his phone and all of the Apps that he has are free. Any help you could offer would be great (-:
All apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that bought them. To stop your id from popping up, you need to delete the apps on his phone, and then repurchase them under his account.

you'll have to set it up as a new phone. You have no choice. If you've been using your phone as recommended, you should have little, if any, data loss.

Imessage is on but message is being sent as text and phone is not recieving imessages
Over the past month since the ios 7.1 update I have been having imessage problems. With imessage enabled and utilizing wifi and cellular data, the phone will send out messages as texts to other iphones and not as imessages and i am not receiving imessages. Typically what happens is that the ellipsis (...) shows up as if there is a pending message but nothing ever comes through and on the other persons end who sent the message it says it was delivered. This happens very frequently and it is very frustrating as it has been occuring for over a month now. I have tried everything from restoring it and setting it up as a new phone, using a new apple id, got a replacement phone from apple, got 2 new sim cards from att, attempted every imessage trouble shoot I could find and yet the problem persists. Does anyone have any insight to this problem?
Based on the limited information you provide, it could be:
That person is not using an iOS device (iMessage will only send to Apple products)
You are not using the registered receive address for iMessage
iMessage is turned off on that person's device. -

I have iPhone4. It has been working fine. I have not rebooted my phone lately, so I just deleted a few apps and thought I would do a soft reboot. I held down sleep button and home button.
