4GB Microphoto Doesn't transfer wma fil

Hey guys,
I have Creative Zen MicroPhoto 4GB (Version .20.0). My player was working prefectly fine until few days ago. I decided to organize all the music on my player, so I took out all the music from my player and added all nessasary album/artist info. But when I tried to put all the music back on it, it does not transfer ".wma" files? All the mp3 ones get transfered fine, but when I try to put in wma (btw, they are the same ones that used to be on it), it says "Class Not Registered". How do I resolve this issue... Please help!
Thanks for help in advance!Message Edited by ruler on 0-29-200708:9 AM

how can I transfer wma files to my mac?

A Macintosh Classic (http://support.apple.com/kb/sp198) has a SCSI hard drive. Even though the hard drive can be removed and placed in an external SCSI enclosure, it is not going to be easy to find a way of connecting it to a modern Mac. That would normally require a USB-to-SCSI adapter, which may or may not be supported under the latest operating system versions.
The easiest method of transferring files from a Macintosh Classic may be via an external USB floppy drive connected to the modern Mac. 1.44 MB Mac-formatted floppy disks can be used for such transfers (not 800K).
A SCSI Zip (100) drive could in principle be connected to the SCSI port of the Macintosh Classic. The Zip disk could then be moved to a USB Zip (100) drive connected to a modern computer.
The Macintosh Classic does not have built-in Ethernet, nor a slot for an Ethernet card (certain other "classic" Macintosh computers do have the ability to hold an Ethernet card). There are some external solutions (such as SCSI-to-Ethernet adapters), but with limitations. For a networking overview, the http://www.applefool.com/se30/ web page could perhaps be of interest.
It is also possible to arrange a null-modem connection between a Macintosh Classic and a modern computer, providing that a USB-to-serial adapter is attached to the latter (appropriate terminal emulation programs are needed on both sides).

  • Stor.E TV+ doesn't transfer large file or large selection of files

    Hi Everyone,
I've just bought a Stor.E TV+ 2TB and I've found a very noisy problem related to file transfers from PC to the HDD trough the LAN (wired &/or wireless).
The unit doesn't transfer large file or large selection of files and hangs the PC process.
Does anyone knows if there's an update firmware or a workaround to solve this?
Looking forward to read from someone.
    Thanks
    G.

    Hi
As far as I know this was solved by firmware update
You could find the firmware on Toshiba European driver page:

    Here choose:

It works when the file is not empty.
It also works, when i transfer the file manually via 'sftp', so the problem is not the sftp-Server.
Any hints how I can transfer empty files?
    We're using 10.1.3.1.
    TIA, Roman

  • Unable to transfer wma files on computer to 6280

I have the latest PC suite installed for my Nokia 6280 and when I get into music manager and try to transfer a wma file it comes up with the error message that the file cannot be ripped. Any suggestions to overcome problem?

How about browsing the phone from your PC (in the Bluetooth equivalent of "Mass Storage" mode), navigating to the folder where your music is located, and then dragging the file(s) to your desktop?

  • Can't Transfer WMA file to Creative Zen Plus

Can anyone help? I've checked out and downloaded a wma from from Net Library. The file plays on my computer in Windows Media Player 0, but when I try to transfer it to my Zen Plus, I get an error.
    Thanks,
    Kathy

First, I assume you are talking about a Zen V Plus 4GB, as there isn't a Zen Plus, as far as I know. I would go back and check NetLibrary for computer and player requirements. Is this a "renew your license for 2 days"(No download, only license to play ) If so, it won't let you redownload the audiobook.
I have found NetLibrary to be very difficult for using with MP3 Players. Make sure that Windows Media Player has downloaded the license and then shut it off. I go to the folder where I store my NetLibrary audiobooks and make sure my player is plugged in and the computer recognizes it. Highlight my chosen audiobook, Then right click, and choose Copy to Creative Zen V Plus, media library. It should download from there. It is a much easier method than trying to use WMP 0/ for the download.
    Hope this helps a little.

Are they copy protected files? Try transfering with Windows Media Player.

  • WMA Files on Nano?

I was wondering if it was possible to use WMA files on the nano and how i put individual songs onto nano without syncing.
    Ty for the help

I was wondering if it was possible to use WMA files
on the nano and how i put individual songs onto nano
    without syncing.
nano doesn't support "WMA" files...Here's what it supports:
    http://support.apple.com/specs/ipod/iPodnano_secondgeneration.html
    AAC (16 to 320 Kbps),
    Protected AAC (from iTunes Store),
    MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps),
    MP3 VBR,
    Audible (formats 2, 3, and 4),
    Apple Lossless,
    AIFF, and
    WAV
Your second question: you set, in iTunes, to "manually manage music"

  • HT1473 Why won't iTunes import my WMA files when I add a folder?

I had been using iTunes on a Windows 7 machine, and it would import WMA files with no problem.  I decided to move to iTunes on my MacBook Pro, and iTunes will only import the files that are already in mp3 format.  It just ignores the files that are in WMA format.

The Mac version of iTunes doesn't convert WMA files. Use a third party tool or convert them on a Windows system.

  • Converting a wma file (windows media audio) to a Mp3 file for iTunes.

I copied all of my music from my external harddrive that i have had for a long time now onto my MacBook. Some of the files were wma while most were Mp3. is there anyway that i can convert the files on my mac to make them mp3 and playable on my itunes and put on my nano. I have tried many times to add the songs to my library and then convert them, but they don't appear in my library but they still play when i use quicktime.

The files play in Quicktime likely because you have the Flip4Mac plugin installed. As for iTunes, it doesn't support WMA files, so they won't be imported.
You can try EasyWMA to convert the WMA files to MP3, M4A, or WAV. I have not tried this program, though.
    Hope this helps,

iTunes for Mac doesn't support .wma files.
If you can use a PC to convert them, you can use one of many freeware applications. Google for 'wma to mp3'.
For the Mac there's the shareware program EasyWMA that can convert them.
    Hope this helps.

  • N73 ME won't play WMA files

I've recently downloaded 1 music track as a WMA file and have transferred it to my N73. I updated the music library and it shows as 1 of my tracks but when I go to play it, it jumps to the next track.
I thought it might've needed to be converted so I tried to do that via Nokia Music Manager but it says it's "either unable to convert this file type or it's already in the correct file format".
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Is it a protected (DRM, Digital Rights Management) WMA file? Perhaps the N73 ME doesn't support WMA files with DRM?
Does an unprotected (without DRM) WMA file work?
