4gLTE checking Window Mounts/recharging

I just bought a 4gLTE mobile hot spot and it is fantastic.  I am working on it 8 hours a day and it's great.  I am noticing one thing that does not work the same on a hard wired connection.   I know this will be difficult but I just want to see if anyone has any ideas.  I work for a big company that has vpn.  Through the hot spot it seems like every 3 to 4 minutes something glitches out and the big company loginscript runs.  This big company has certain things it wants done every time the vpn is initiated and it has it's own Windows build that insures this login script runs.   It doesn't run this login script every 3 or 4 minutes on a hard wired connection, either through comcast or in one of the big company locations directly on their lan.  I have some (2 or 3) mounts to servers that I use and it may be that it is noticing the mount doesn't answer as fast as normal and that triggers the login script.  I have tried disabling the mounts but I can't get them to go away while I am using the hotspots.  Any thoughts about why this loginscript is only triggered through the mobile hot spot.
Also I work on the mobile hot spot 8 hours a day.  I found the battery doesn't last for 3-4 hours so I keep it charging constantly (plugged into the AC).   Is this going to burn it out?

Thanks for posting.  Can you please PM me the device model and your mobile telephone number and I would be more then happy to resolve this issue for you.  Thank you.

  • How do I disable the "Plug-In Check" window from popping up everytime I open my firefox browser? It is totally annoying...thanks

Every time I open firefox browser a very ANNOYING "Plugin Check Window" pops up. My plugins are up to date. I don't want this reminder....PLEASE let me know how to disable it...thanks

I discovered that Flash gets disabled after making this about:config change. Firefox claims that Flash is "out of date" when the latest version is installed. So if you use Flash, this tweak won't work.
I don't really need my browser telling me what I can and can't run...

  • Can someone please help me!! I keep trying to download itunes but get a message that and error has happened 2/3 and check window activity. Then it shows A sever with the specified host name could not-- and then it cuts off the rest of the message.

I keep trying to download itunes in Safari but get a message that and error has happened 2/3 and check window> activity. Then it shows A sever with the specified host name could not…… and then it cuts off the rest of the message. I have reset Safari and still nothing!!!
    Very frustrated!!!

It's downloading with Firefox 3.6.27 as I write.  It's probably more a Safari problem in your case for which people on the Safari forum could provide suggestions.  Or mybe just try again in a while as I suspect everybody is downloading right now.

  • Anyone Using Navigon GPS found a Good Window Mount?

I think I've decided on Navigon rather than TomTom, but I have not as yet found a window mount, other than TomTom's, that has a built in GPS booster, can charge the iPhone, and route voice prompts through your stereo speakers.
Anyone using Navigon...Have you found a good window mount with the features as noted above? Apple Canada does not stock the TomTom mount. :o(
    Thank you for your help.

You can get the TomTom car kit from the TomTom store when it's available: http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php?ID=1019&Lid=4&Category=2

  • Adding color to a check window in sap script

    Hi all,
I have a requirement where I need to get the check window printed with a background color-green in SAP scripts. the form i am using is f110_prenum_chck for check printing. Please let me know if I can do that in scripts. I know we can do that in smartforms but not sure about scripts.
    Regards,
    Kiran

It sounds like you need to purchase check stock to match your requirement.  Check stocks have multiple built-in security features as well for check backgrounds.  Otherwise, did you try a plain BMP color logo?

  • SQL Query to check window firewalls ports

    Hi All,
I am looking for a sql query like below to check inbound sql ports opened in window firewall.
Below query display all firewall ports but my requirement is to display ports opened related to sql server.
EXECUTE [master].[dbo].[xp_cmdshell] 'netsh advfirewall firewall show rule name=any |find "sql"'
    Thanks,
    Nani.
    NB

To find the answer, you would first find which ports that are "SQL ports", and this you can find by looking in the errorlog or the registry for each instance if you want to do it programmatically.
To check Windows firewall programmatically, I have no idea, and it is definitely not a question for an SQL Server forum. Find the suitable Windows forum.
And, no, there is no SQL query you can write to do this. But Powershell may work.

  • Filesystem Check Failed - Mounted

After having a little trouble getting XFCE to start automatically like KDE did, I played around with some settings using a SLAX LiveCD.  Since then, I'm unable to boot for a different reason: Filesystem Check Failed.
The only thing that seems to be the problem is that /dev/sdb1 is, as it says, "mounted".  When I am prompted to fix it myself, I find that the system is confused as to whether it is mounted.
    Typing "mount" produces
    /dev/sdb1 on /mnt/sto type ext3 (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev)
    Yet typing "umount /dev/sdb1" produces
    umount: dev/sdb1: not found
    umount /mnt/sto: not found
    umount: dev/sdb1: not found
    umount /mnt/sto: not found
cd to /mnt/sto and using dir or ls -a also shows me nothing.
The following is displayed upon "reboot"
shutdown: /dev/initctl: No such file or directory
init: /dev/initctl: No such file or directory
Finally, the files I remember having edited in SLAX and partially ARCH.  I'm not sure how correct these are, but I didn't think trying to fix up XFCE was going to create such a problem:

Never mind, the fsck seemed to complete just fine .
    fsck 1.39 (29-May-2006)
    e2fsck 1.39 (29-May-2006)
Storage has been mounted 29 times without being checked, check forced.
Pass 1: Checking inodes, blocks, and sizes
    Pass 2: Checking directory structure
    Pass 3: Checking directory connectivity
    Pass 4: Checking reference counts
Pass 5: Checking group summary information
    Storage: 23560/24903680 files (22.3% non-contiguous), 41462978/49785427 blocks
It didn't take that long, I just expected a progress bar, like with other drives.
Thanks anyway!  Time to see if Arch boots without problems.

  • Check for mounted volume via terminal?

I want to write a simple bash script that will unmount a volume if it's already mounted. How do i check to see if the volume is mounted?
    if [/Volumes/Backup is mounted ]
    umount /Volumes/Backup
    fi

    Try this:
    if \[ -d /Volumes/Backup \]; then
    umount /Volumes/Backup
    fi
That "umount" command will require root privileges, so you'll have to arrange that.

  • When images are attached in mail the same is received as thumbnail by receiver most of the times. At times it was resolved by unchecking and checking "windows friendly attachment". But the behaviour is very uncertain. How to resolve this?

I am using macbook pro 13" Retina with Yosemite. All updates are done. The issue of mail attachment persists even after apple support suggesting to uncheck and check the "windows friendly attachment" option. The behaviour is very uncertain.

  • Cisco ISE to check Windows Firewall is enabled or not in Posture Requirement.

I have already a running setup for wireless employees. Everything is working fine. Wireless Employees authenticate by AD through ISE. URL redirection is working fine. Posture requirements to check Hotfixs & AV installation & definition is working fine. Now I have new requirement to check whether Window firewall is enabled or not, if not then put the users in temporary access & do the remediation, if failed then put the user in noncompliant.
I want to know under which option i can create Window Firewall requirement.
    Thanks

Windows Firewall in Windows XP creates  a registry key
    Registry Key:
    HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile
    Registry Value:
    EnableFirewall
If the XP Firewall is on the Value will be = to “1”
The following link shows how to tell if firewalls of different brands are running
    http://cisconac.blogspot.com/2007/05/custom-checks-personal-firewall.html
So, the ISE config will be something like the following picture. Please rate if it helps

    Hi,
Did you use the same account with the App creator(the account which deployed the app)? You can use the app creator to check whether it works.
Could the other accounts access the apps? You can use the other accounts to check whether it works.
To quickly and accurately find the issue, you can check the event log and ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred.
For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log is at
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS

  • Check for mounted DFS share with exists in apple script

    OS: OSX Mountain lion.
Can any one advise how to detect if a DFS share is mounted or not?
I have been using the following code:
    set volumeLabel to "R$"
    tell application "Finder"
      exists disk volumeLabel
    end tell
Which works fine with a normal SMB shares or attached hard drives but I cant get it to work with a DFS Share, it always returns false (see attached screen shot.
    Also tried:
if volumeLabel is in (do shell script "/bin/ls Volumes") then
              return true
    else
              return false
    end if
Which didnt work with a DFS Share aswell.
    Any help appreciated.
    Cheers,

    Hi,
Since you're checking to see if a value exists in the Desktop key, you can do something along these lines:
    If (Get-ItemProperty -Path 'HKCU:\Control Panel\Desktop' -Name SCRNSAVE.EXE -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue) {
    Write-Output 'Value exists'
    } Else {
    Write-Output 'Value DOES NOT exist'
EDIT: Sam, what version of PowerShell are you running? Your code doesn't seem to work for me on v4:
    PS C:\> Push-Location
    Set-Location "HKCU:\Control Panel"
    $Result = Test-Path -Path ".\desktop\SCRNSAVE.EXE"
    Pop-Location
    $Result
    False
