4s displays searching in top left all the time

Just happened today and it's killing the battery very fast. I then turned phone off/on and now screen goes to sleep but the "searching" is still displayed.

You can try a reset, hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for you phone to boot back up.
If that doesn't work then contact your phone carrier.

Try reseting (not just turning off) your phone: hold down the Home button and the Power button on the top until the Silver Apple appears (ignore the red slider if it appears). See if the reset clears things up!

And just where did you get the screen repaired? Apple does not repair screens, they replace the entire phone. If you had it done by a 3rd party, then I'd say they most likely borked something up. Take it back to them. If the phone was actually replaced by Apple, then you have a 90 day warranty or the balance of the original warranty, whichever is longer. Take it in and have it looked at.
If it was repaired by a 3rd party, you are no longer eligible for a discounted out of warranty replacement from Apple.

Search panel/tab opening all the time

Why is Search panel/tab opening at the bottom of Dreamweaver every single time I want to Search/Replace something, its very annoying when I do not need this and I need to close it every time.
I never use this Search tab at the bottom and I'm pulling my hair like crazy just to get rid of it ASAP.

This should only open when you do a find all or replace all, and opens to enable you to review the changes or search for a specific line?
Is this the behaviour you are getting?
If you do a find (or find next), then individual replace, it should not open.

Allowed Mozilla to upgrade to 9.0.1 . . . I used to be able to display all my bookmarks, all the time, in a sidebar . . . lost that functionality.

Not sure what more I can add . . . before I updated to 9.0.1, I had all my bookmarks displayed in a side bar, all the time . . . I have lost the ability to have that functionality.

Try hitting ''ctrl+b'' to bring up the bookmarks sidebar. Hitting ''Alt'' will bring up the old menu bar items temporarily if you are seeing the ''Firefox'' menu. You can also got to ''Firefox > Options > Menu bar'' to give Firefox a more familiar feel. Then you can access the sidebar from the bookmarks menu.
You should also take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[Navigation Toolbar items]] to see how you can add the button to the tool bar for quick access.

I reported on here about 4 months ago that the display always says it recording all the time. I was told on here that the problem has been noted and would be fixed in a upcoming update, but it hadn't ?
Anyone know when this is being fixed?

So I have an iPad 2 for two years. Has never been dropped or in water or damaged in any way....now the volume is distorted and I get booted off the web all the time. Plus it shows and no service in top left corner. Any one have these issues?

So I got is iPad as a gift and the same issues I had with my iPhone 4S is also happening with my iPad. Will Apple cover the problem as it lies within there updates or something. All I know I have taken perfect care of both products and volume is distorted. Can't listen to music, I get booted off the web all the time, I can't even chat with Apple icare it won't work and no service shows on top left corner. What is wrong with Apple products? I'm thinking it's time to switch! I've had to change my iPhone twice now......first time for mic not working and then camera shutter kept sticking. Same on my iPad........ I don't want to pay to get this fixed as it's not my fault this is happening...... It's software apparently?

This really is starting to feel like a hardware issue than a software one.
Especially if hearing noises when you connecting up your iPad for charging.
Something happened to your iPad that has nothing to do with a software update.
This is why I recommend that

It sounds as if you really need to take this iPad in for a repair.
Since you are reluctant to do this, there is nothing more I can suggest to you.

Dashboard - displaying a widget on top of all windows all the time

Seems that I remember in previous versions of Dashboard, you could get it to show selected (or all) widgets all the time. Call it "on the desktop" or "on the top level" or whatever, but you didn't have to enter the expose-like environment to interact with a widget.
Is there a way to do this or am I missing something or did they take this away in the later version(s) or ...??
Widgets have been more of a novelty to me as I haven't really had a need for widgets until now. I have one widget that I'd like to have shown all the time on my second monitor as, well, as a dashboard display. But I need it there all the time.
I also seem to remember using a 3rd party util that provided another way to do this, but all the ones I've just looked at and tried don't offer that desktop-level functionality.

It involves hitting (and holding down) the hot-key for Dashboard (F12 unless you've changed it in the sys prefs), dragging the widget you want and then releasing the hot-key. When released, you should still be dragging the widget and it should remain floating on the desktop.
In addition, there's a command-line terminal hack for developers which will apparently make this permanent, although I haven't verified this yet:
defaults write com.apple.dashboard devmode YES
It seems to be working for me so far. Anyone care to verify this?

Firefox supports Vista so that shouldn't be a problem. What version of Firefox are you attempting to install? (From the tags on this ticket it looks like 19.) Can you share the link from which you downloaded Firefox? Did you get it from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

Go up to the main Safari menu bar above, and select "View."
Then when that bar comes down, select "Customize Toolbar."
Then select the arrow icon, and just drag it into your toolbar.

All of a sudden my gadgets don't display in my igoogle home page. Use to all the time and they will if I use internet explorer it just happens with mozilla firefox.
How do I get them to display properly they just are listed on the left hand side of the screen.

Symantec need to update their Firefox add-ons so that they are compatible with Firefox 4. They have indicated that for Norton 360 they plan to release an update to Norton 360 to support Firefox 4 in early May - http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100720113635EN&ln=en_US
Pending the update by Symantec, if you want to use the Norton add-ons you will need to downgrade to Firefox 3.6.
To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

"Top tab bar"?
The top of the screen is where the applications menus appear on the left and system icons (time, volume. etc) appear on the right side.
This entire area is "covered over" when you enter into "Full Screen" mode. You can expose it while still in full screen by moving your cursor over the area.
