while trying to update and fix sync probs w/ iTunes and icloud ...I guess I entered wrong pw but only once...and now phone is frozen showing white screen w/apple logo . cant turn off..nothing !! please help if you can..I don't want to erase all my stuff to restore
See this support document. It may be that you will have to restore the device. You will be able to use your last backup, if you have one. If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Can days in iCal freeze? A whole week of my Ical is wiped/frozen
There is a day in my iCal that is completely frozen. I was recently doing some planning and viewing some of my past events and I noticed that in 'week view' a whole week of events was missing. That week wasn't editible either- I can't add events to it or do any editing at all (even though there's nothing to edit because it's completely wiped.
What's more weird is that when I went in to "day view" for this week that had seemed to have been wiped, every day had the days events showing and they were editable except for one single day- a Wednesday. Again, for that day I can't add or edit anything and it's blank, even though there used to be events in it. I still have those events in my Iphone
When I go back into week view for this week, I can't see any events for the whole week, even though they show up in the day view for all of the days but that one.
Has anyone else had this problem? I have all the events for these days in my Iphone still but syncing doesn't seem to be helping. This all is driving me crazy. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!Greetings,
Might just be a bad cache / preference file.
Troubleshooting:
1.) Backup all your data:
Backup your iPhone: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
Backup your computer Addressbook: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=AddressBook/4.0/en/ad961.html
Backup your computer iCal: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2966
2.) Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical and / or "ical"
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
__NOTE: Removing these files will remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
Once the computer is back up and running open iCal and test.

So I was updating my ipod software and then an error message popped up. Now my ipod is frozen with the apple logo and an empty bar. Itunes no longer recognizes it either. I don't know what to do...

I was editing photos and it was getting stuck or frozen and working very slowly. I attempted to restart the computer but it would not allow me to quit aperture. Now aperture appears in my toolbar but will not open up so I can work on any photos. Any ideas?
Did you try opening from the Applications folder?

I have a first generation ipod touch. I use a wireless router to get my internet connection. It is frozen on opening up a website and will not release. Even when I power down and restart it goes back to the same failed connection. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Ray.

T2 Digitizer frozen after soft,warm,hard resets.Can not get it to calibrate at all.
My T2 occasionally has to be recalibrated. I downloaed DigiFix some months ago and it seemed to help a bit. I hot synced my data last night and all was well. This morning I could not tap my screen to access anything. I tried cleaning carefully around the screen edge, gently cleaned the screen ( no visible damage to the screen noted ), performed a soft reset ( which usually worked ), a warm reset, followed by a soft reset and finally a hard reset ( kept data ) followed by a soft reset and then the big one, a hard reset with loss of data followed with 5 soft resets in a row. I found through the forum a T2 update which I downloaded and is ready to be installed when I next hot sync.
The unit is now frozen with the x in the starting position in the top left corner. Despite my efforts to gently tap all around the X, I can not get it to recalibrate or even get off the calibration screen. If I could just get back to any regular screen, I could get my data back and install this T2 update.
I also downloaded Pocket DVD studio a week ago and have been able to upload .avi files for viewing videos on my Palm. I works beautifully. I think I still have the original Kimoma player on my T2, but never really like it. Can anyone PLEASE help me out? This T2 update is supposed to help according to the infor I found in forum....MANY THANKS!

View Solution.Thank you for the fina advice. It worked and my T2 is now working perfectly. I think the real trick is using cheap copier paper, not the higher grade stuff or a business card for the cleaning routine. I floded the paper lengthwiase and put a sharp crease in before cutting into little work strips. It took a lot of patience and time to perform a proper cleaning, but it was worth it. Seems that the smallest bit of anything which get trapped under the bezel will throw the T2 into a stupor. Many thanks your your fine advice.....Rgds,John Brown

A dialog box has appeared on the screen of my iPad2 and has frozen the device so that I can't close it down or make changes to the settings. The titel is "iCloud Backup" and it reads: This iPad hasn't been backed up in 4 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to WiFi.
I'm not sure why it hasn't backed up but I can't do anything to clear the dialog box, turn off the device or get to any settings or apps on the device.

Hold Sleep and Home buttons for 10 seconds until the device restarts, so you will be able to use the iPad again.
It will try to make a backup every time your iPad is plugged to the charger and connected to a network. To prevent that this message appears soon, open Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, and choose Backup Now -
Adobe Extension Manager CC frozen
Hi,
I have been having some serious problems with the Adobe Extension Manager.
I while ago, I updated from Photoshop CS6 to Adobe Creative Cloud and when I saw my Photshop extensions were not installed in Photshop CC, I launched the Extension Manager CC and was trying to install them to get the extensions in Photoshop.
What happened was, the Extension Manager froze somewhere in the middle of the isntallation and wasn't doing anything for more than 8 hours when I was installing the first extension. The Extension Manager wasn't reacting at all so I had to kill it, and ever since I open it up again the Extension Manager can't load and it gets stuck with the working-clock icon (see the attached image).
After I restart the computer I can open up the manager, however, when I try to install any extension again, it gets frozen again in the middle of the installation and I have to forse quit the app again. I uninstalled it and installed it again, but no change.
The Extension manager was running smoothly on CS 6 but I had no luck with the CC. What is intersting though is when I install extensions not through the Extension Manager as "Subtle Patterns" it's showing in Photoshop and there are no problems with it.
I'm running on Mac OS X 10.8.5
Hope to get some help because I would really need those exptensions. Thank you.

SamPlease make sure you have write permission to "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC" and all its subfolders. And please delete "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Configuration/DB/ExMan.db" if this file exists.
If it still doesn't work after you granted sufficient permission to yourself, please try to run EM as administrator.
1. Run "/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app".
2. Input the following command then press "Return" key. Don't miss the double quotation marks.
sudo "/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CC/Adobe Extension Manager CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Extension Manager CC"
3. Input password of administrative user then press "Return" key.
If it works, you can try to run EM in normal way.
If it doesn't work, please generate log files and send it to [email protected]
1. In Terminal window, run the following commands in turn:
cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/Extension\ Manager\ CC/
mkdir Log
cd Log
touch ExManCoreLibLog.YES
2. Open Finder, hold down "option" key, click menu "Go"->"Library" to go into hidden Library folder, then go to its subfolder "Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log", check whether file ExManCoreLibLog.YES exists.
3. Launch EM.
4. After EM hangs, force quit it, send the log file in the Log folder above to us. -

A pop-up message is frozen on my settings page. I was trying to set up an apple id for iTunes when I got a message "required fields have been left blank. The missing information is highlighted in red." the ok button doesn't work. The message is now fixed & I cannot get rid of it. Ironically, when I found this forum I was able to set up an apple Id. Please advise how to get rid of the pop-up box. Thanks!
I'm having this same problem as well and cannot advance--very irritating. All of the information is filled out correctly and I've editted my AppleID information online separately as well to get around this issue, but no luck...

Frozen Pages application not working!
The Pages application is frozen on my MacBook Air. I have tried force quit, restarting, and deleting and reinstalling the application. When I open it again, it still goes back to being frozen, with many document windows open and the striped horizontal bar. Please help!
I have the same problem. When I open Mail, the Dock freezes and Exposé stops working. When this happened previously, I also deleted the Dock plist file and rebooted. The Dock was working normally again, and I even managed to open Mail without any issues. However, I opened Mail again just a few minutes ago (I'd stopped using it because of jumbled names and e-mail addresses) and the Dock problem happened again--frozen, with Mail icon highlighted. For now, I am avoiding Mail altogether until Apple issues a fix.

Keyboard Trackpad frozen under OSX
Hi,
This morning when I switched on my computer, keyboard and trackpad seems to be frozen under OSX and they do not seem to work. I tried connecting a USB mouse but that didn't work either. Surprisingly, keyboard works when I startup and press option key to use bootcamp partition. Under windows (bootcamp), keyboard seems to work fine. Any workaround or solutions? this is annoying. I have all the latest updates installed.
