4s unreliable in IOS7

My 4s 64 has been a great device, rock solid - but since moving to IOS7 it has developed many annoying issues:
occasional minutes-long lags when trying to post photos - screen just hangs on the photo and device becomes unresponsive;
(this may be caused by or connected with the next issue:)
it has poor touch sensitivity at seemingly random moments - feels like it's otherwise occupied and doesn't respond to touch, or sometimes even a press of the Home button;
Oh yeah I sometimes have to press the Home button several times to get 'home' now - long delay to respond.
It has substantially weaker or no wifi reception, in known networks where it used to outperform my computer;
The camera flash works only when it feels like it - setting it to 'On' does not mean it will flash, though it occasionally will still flash in 'Auto' mode. Since one of the hardware tweaks on the 5S is addition of a multi-mode flash, I find this one particularly suspicious...
And the latest trick is that rotation lock engages without my telling it to, without the button even indicating it's locked - it gets stuck in vertical aspect in numerous apps - notes, messages, even games - until I can cycle the rotation-lock button enough times to get it to release.
I've done a backup/restore and have the latest version of IOS7 installed, and plenty of free space on the device, but the problems continue.
This phone was perfect for two years - it began to present these issues immediately upon installing IOS7. Anyone know any fixes? It's aggravating to have a phone that I've been so happy with for so long become so undependable and flawed due to software provided by its manufacturer. Now they want $19 just to talk to me about it. ,

both my iphone4 and ipad2's cam work 100% the same with ios7 and with ios6 so maybe you should try to reboot the ios device in question

My iphone 5 has started to randomly shut down (So battery level not affected) constantly requiring a hard reset everytime to restore the phone back to working condition. Sometimes it doesn't even respond to a hard reset (Power button and home button pressed together) and is not recognized by itunes. If I leave it alone for a little while and tehn try again it sometimes works. Again its all random sometimes immediately sometimes after a few hours. Its really ridicolous on unreliable this phone is. Worst part I was quite happy and had no problems prior to iOS7 but ever since that upgrade my phone is no longer working. Apple told me this is a hardware issue but that doesn't make sense as it was fine prior to iOS7. Either way I am past the warranty so this means buying a new phone - whcih based on my current experience will not be an iPhone unless I get this fixed.

I have reset my phone a large number of times. It doesn't work. I am now reseting and setting it up as a new phone every 2 days. It works for a while and then teh cycle repeats.

Ever since I downloaded iOS7 my 5 constantly freezes and I have to restart my phone (literally 6-7 times an hour). It randomly turns off. The battery doens't last more than 2 hours. It restarts itself randomly, during phone calls and when its plugged in. Apple replaced my phone, has restored my phone and started from scratch and I'm still having the same problem. Anyone else experiencing this or have a solution? I am ready to lose it and my phone has become unreliable.

ICloud Disabling itself on iOS7

I keep finding that iCloud Services are disabling themselves in iOS7 on both my iPad 2 and my iPhone 4S. I keep having to go into the settings app to re-enable each service.
Any idea what is going on? Apple needs to sort this out. They claim they are banking on iCloud as their platform of the future. In my experience, it is utterly unreliable!

Since updating my iPhone 5 to ios7 my phone often fails to send iMessages. It won't automatically send as an SMS despite this being switched on in the settings section. This is also happening wig my partners phone and my mothers phone. I want to report it to Apple but I don't know how.
Firstly, is there a way this can be reported to Apple so they can fix the bug? And secondly, does anyone have any suggestions in relation to fixing this problem?
I usually love my phone but I am finding it unreliable at the moment and am wishing I didn't update it.

Send a bug report via its Bug Reporter system.
To do this, join the Mac Developer Program—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Since you already have an Apple username/ID, use that.
Once a member, go to Apple BugReporter and file your bug report. You get a response and a follow-up number thus starting a dialog with engineering.

Kiosk crashing iOS7

I have updated my iPad(4) to iOS7.
Now when I touch the Kiosk icon at the left top,
My iPad chrashes and I get the Apple logo on my screen.
After a while, the iPad will be in the sleeping mode
and I have to unlock it again.
When I tap the Kiosk icon at the right bottom, it gives no problems.

Just adding a "me too", though in my case a new iPad Mini (retina) and actually an Apple Wireless Keyboard (brand new: i killed my old 1st gen one by leaving it on a shelf for months with batteries in it until I got the iPad and discovered my error). So no third-party keyboard firmware excuses. :-D
As others have reported; for me it seems that occasionally (not every time or it would be unusable) on waking the keyboard after it goes to sleep, the iPad crashes, completely unresponsive to anything short of a hard reset (power+home held down until it turns off, then turn on normally). (Side note: Not *quite* unresponsive: First time it happened I plugged it into a mac and it let me take a backup and sync, while the screen and buttons remained unresponsive; so I think the computer in the iPad's fine, just its primary IO device locks up.)
One thing: I *also* have the iPad paired to a Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover. (First question: by any chance anyone else having this paired with more than one keyboard, even if only one is active at a time? In my case, the Apple one's for home, for full-speed typing; the Logitech one goes everywhere with the iPad.)
I haven't seen this issue happen with the Logitech. Or I *might* have seen it once; maybe early when I wasn't looking for the pattern so my memory's unreliable there. But it happens a lot with the Apple keyboard. One simple thought there is that the Apple keyboard has quite a short timeout before it goes into powersave (side-question: anyone know how to make it longer on an iPad?) so if the problem occurs on reconnection/wake-up, it's simply more *likely* to happen on a more narcoleptic keyboard.

Carrier signal is poor in iOS7

After installing iOS7, my iP5 has a very poor/variable carrier signal strength. iP5 is on EE in the UK. Has anyone else got this problem?

This has been really frustrating for many of us Apple lovers. Almost everyone in my family owns two or more Apple products, until this mess.
My daughter was due for a new phone and then IOS 7 made hers useless, to the point where she is able to make calls on a rare occasion because it constantly goes into searching mode. So as of yesterday she went to the other side and bought an android phone and loves it. My son now because of his IOS 7 issues, is asking for an Android and my wife is unable to use her IPad half the time due to searching while on cell or dropping Wi Fi every 30 seconds, is now asking for a Windows Tablet.
Their point, and a valid one, is if I have a device that I purchased to do a specific task, such as make and receive calls and it won't do that, it is useless and why pay for it.
Apple is losing long time customers because they have taken once valuable tools and toys and created high priced paper weights of them. I use my IPad for business and must say that with it being unreliable now, I am also looking at the windows tablet so that I can do my job.
Apple, please address this soon or at a minimum, acknowledge the issue

Voice memos in iOS7, on new iphone 5s cuts off recordings

Hi,
Voice memos has always been super reliable in previous versions but on a new iphone 5s with ios7 I'm finding it cuts off recordings very unpredictably - sometimes after less than a minute sometimes after a quarter hour or so.
I've seen other threads where the issue has been described but this has been explicitly on longer recordings or where the recording is finished so wanted to raise this again as an issue on new hardware with recordings of any length where the recording stops by itself.
The bug is making the app unusable at present which is a shame as it looks like it could be a greatly improved app.
Any ideas?

The worse thing about this is that Apple Support does not appear to know about it and steered me in the wrong direction. Today I tried it again and lost another 50 minute recording.
Apple needs to fix this and let users and tech staff know ASAP.
This has now cost me 2 hours of client time, plus 3 hours of tech support. The client information is priceless to me. I will not be able to retrieve the content of those discussions, even if I conduct the meetings again. Too many variables were at play.
I am beyond disillusioned that this issue is being reported in various threads throughout the fall and has not been addressed, and that phone support is unwaware, so more users will end up with the same terrible losses.
It is, in my opinion, highly irresponsible and a show of disrespect to customers to permit this to be occuring without warning users or applying fixes.

Sounds like the device is in recovery mode. You will need to restore the phone. See this support document for instructions. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

I am having several problems. I recently upgraded to ios7 and now my PC (Windows 7) is not recognizing my iphone. 1) I am getting an error message when itunes opens: "Itunes could not connect to the iphone because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iphone before it can be used with itunes." How did it get locked and how do I unlock it without losing my data? What do they mean by passcode? I don't have a 4-number code to get into my iphone activated. In fact, I've never had a passcode.
2) I cannot download my photos from my iphone onto my computer because my computer doesn't recognize my iphone. In other words, my iphone does not show up on my computer (no iphone icon, no DCIM folder).
3) This is a separate issue but it is also very confusing: I went online to check my iCloud and I cannot see any data (icloud.com). But I know that I set up iCloud when I upgraded to ios7 and it backs up my data every night. What am I doing wrong, am I unable to see my data and photos?
Why is this happening? It was bad enough that when I upgraded to ios7, I lost my Notes - I have no idea why they didn't return. But now essentially my iphone is not recognized when connected to my computer and this is very frustrating. I have read numerous previous postings regarding downloading photos onto the PC and regarding this passcode error and cannot find a resolution, so I would appreciate any help.

How can i reset an ipad with icloud that i dont have a password to? iOS7

My Dad bought an iPad 2 from a pawn shop and didnt check it because it was on the set up screen. When he gave it to me as a gift i went through the usial set up process but when i got to the icloud set up screen it asks for a password to someone elses account. And when i connect it to iTunes it tells me "This iPad is currently linked to an Apple ID" so i cant even acess it through itunes.
I would return the iPad but they wont take it back because they say that there is to returns on used items.
Is there anyway that i could link it to my account instead or do anything about it?
I Know that its a iPad 2, 16gb, wifi only, with iOS7. also know the serial # thats on the back if that is needed.

Either the original owner didn't clear the iPad correctly or it was stolen. In either case you will not be able to set it up without the original owners Apple ID and password.

Error 21 is part of a range of error codes generally indicating that other software is interfering with the restore process.

If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

Calendar list view in IOS7 not showing times

I have an iPhone 5 with IOS7. I have several calendar entries that when in the list view or search view, they show "all-day" on the left hand side when in fact they are not all-day, they have specified start and end times. This seems to happen when I first enter an item as all-day because the time has not yet been set, once the time is set I go back and edit the entry, turn off all-day, and put a start and end time. But when I go back to list view they still show as all-day. In single day view the appointments appear in their correct shaded time slots. Anybody else have this problem or know how to fix it?

You may also be wondering about the Week view – this is accessed by turning the iPhone on its side and viewing in Portrait mode, the same way as it worked in iOS
