5.0.2 and error loading presets

over the weekend i built a new system (i7 980x, 12gb DDR3, Vertex LE as a boot drive running W7 Pro 64bits) and installed Adobe CS5 Production Premium and updated it using the Adobe updater. everything seemed to be working fine and the isntaller log is clean (no errors). premiere reports 5.0.2
i then installed my Matrox mxo2 mini... drivers installed without any errors
starting Premiere, the matrox sequence presets are there, however when i select any one, i get the error
A required plug-in(s) for this preset is not currently installed. Please re-install the missing plug-in(s) and try again or choose another preset.
yet, when i look at the Plugin Loading log file, no errors anywhere including all the matrox plugins. here is one example
Loading C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS5\Plug-ins\Common\Matrox Video\mveImporter.prm
The registry tells us not to cache so the plugin will be loaded from disk.

i have checked all the threads that reported problems with presets and I don't believe there are similarities except in the fact that i too am running 5.0.2. Premiere runs fine otherwise, exports are OK (including MPEG), even matrox effects and encoding using Matrox presets work !
i have also uninstalled and reinstalled the matrox utilities but no luck... same error
i have posted this on the matrox forum but seeing that many Premiere Pros and Adobe employee frequent this forum, maybe someone can see something obvious or what the error points to

I have a problem with my N100 0768 BSG with Windows XP system. When I turned it on there was a lenovo screen with a sign: "to interrupt normal startup press lenovo care button" as usual. But after that instead of Windows loading there was a sign: "disk read error". I rebooted it, run rescue and recovery and started recovery proces.
However after about 20 minutes of recovery process, I saw a blue screen with some error and I could only shut down the computer. When I turned it on again, there was lenovo screen and after that I saw: "error loading operating system". I rebooted it but now I can't even run "rescue and recovery".
I downloaded some diagnostic programme from lenovo site, burned it on dvd and run on my lenovo. When it was doing "Surface scan test" of my hard drive, there was an error: "Error : Found uncorrectable data error."
I thought about buying rescue and recovery cd from lenovo but I heard that they do not sell it in Poland.
Please help me.

If you have a dual core processor and 2 GB of RAM you will have no problems running Windows 7. You can check the microsoft hardware compatibility site to find out for sure.
Why 32 bit over 64 bit?
Unless you are doing an application like Video rendering or using a Digital Audio Workstation you probably won't notice any performance difference. Most applications today aren't written to take advantage of a 64 bit OS. This will happen over time but for now - you just don't need it. The 32 bit OS will be more compatible with older peripherals like printers and other devices where the manufacturer may not have built a 64 bit driver. Also when you get the upgrade disk you will get both versions so you can start with the 32 bit and always upgrade to the 64 bit at a later time if you really need it. You can only address a little more than 3 GB of RAM in a 32 bit OS but that is usually overkill for most applications people use. A 64 bit OS will allow you to address more memory but you will not gain any performance increases unless the specific application you run is written as a 64 bit application.
I have also found certain older applications that don't work with the 64 bit OS. So it really depends on what peripherals you are using and what applications you tend to use. The safe bet is to go with the 32 bit version.
If you decide to use XP just burn a copy of the XP disk and then you will have one the next time you need to reload. The licensing has nothing to do with the media - it is all about the license you own. Your license key should be on the bottom of your laptop.

I used p2vhd to create a windows server 2003 server to a vhd file. I have done in this in the past wihtout any issue but it seems this time when i load the vhd i get the message. error

I am assuming that you are using SCVMM to achieve P2V .
And the following article indicated that server pack2 is required to install into
server2003 when you try to do P2V :

Also it is recommended to use windows server 2003 with sp2 as a VM in hype-v 2008/R2 and hyper-v 2012/R2 .

An online CAL session when viewed through firefox, gives an
error loading message, yet when viewed through IE, it works. I have
loaded the plugin for firefox.
But I'm a bit confused as other CAL sessions can be viewed
(though not all) with firefox.
The CAL session should all be identical in structure apart
from content

Does the html in your launch page include the <embed>
tags? Those are needed
for Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape browsers as they use a plugin
instead of
ActiveX. Shouldn't get an error loading page message, though,
it just
doesn't try to do anything.

I am new to most of the Adobe products and recently purchased Adobe creative suite cs4 master. I make slide shows, haven't tried any video yet. I am making a several-disc large set of slideshows of a European vacation for a friend of mine. There were roughly 2000 pictures, most of which I edited in Photoshop.
I built the slideshows in Encore and burned the first three DVD's no problem. They play well on a dvd player attached to a TV. The current DVD I'm trying to burn gives me the message "Error Loading transncode preset. I have spent many hours researching this online, and I do some some references and fixes for it here on this forum. However they are not working for me. I went back and looked at my DVD's that burned properly and tried to make everything the same, but I still get the same message.
The first couple of tries, the burn process always stopped when loading the same song, so I removed it and put a different one in. This project has 4 slideshows in it, about 10 songs and nothing else.
I have a Dell Precision T3400 and am using XP Pro service pack 3. It has Intel(R) Core (TM) Quad CPU, Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz with 2.39 GHz 3.00 GB RAM. I have Creative SB XFI sound and MVidia Quadro FX 1700 video. I dont know what else you need in the way of documentation.
I have rebuilt this whole project once already and now I still cant burn it from the second build.
I know this question has been asked already, but I tried one of the suggestions about removing the stuff in the Source Folder which didn't work for me. I don't understand some of your complex terminology but I am willing to learn anything.
Is there someone who would adopt a newbie and help me wade through some of the terminology I haven't picked up yet? I'm a quick learner and am building my own terminology dictionary as I go.

Here is more information about my Encore slideshows. The DVD I'm trying to make has 5 slideshows in it, no timelines and no playists. Each of the slide shows have between 55 and 75 jpeg images in them and between 1 and 3 wma or mp3 music files in each one. There are more .wma than .mp3 music files, and many of them I first edited in Soundbooth to make it exactly the same length since it is going into a slideshow and not a timeline. The lwma files I try to remember to save as mp3 files thinking they would be easier to transcode. Honestly I know so very little about transcoding that it's virtually impossible to help myself with that. I have yet to find a good tutorial on that.
Regarding the images in all the slideshows, they are all jpg files and are mostly 600x800 in size. Most of them are 95kb or less in size. They were taken with the same camera except for a very few, less than 1% that I added for effect. One image that I just looked at is 180 ppi. I didnt create it that way, because I dont know how. The size in inches of the images are around the area of 7.8 inches x 6.7 inches. The mode is RGB.
Regarding linking, I set the menu, which is an encore template and have used the same menu for all DVD's, as first play object and then link the menu to the first slide show, each slideshow to the next, and have end action of the last slideshow returning to the menu. I have kept this as simple as possible because I'm new to Encore and most of the CS4 master suite. My plan is to learn Premiere Pro and do the slideshows there but wanted to get this big one done as quickly as possibly. I edited most of the 2000 images all in Photoshop so it has been a timely process.
I am unable to open this project anymore without getting an error message saying "[..\..\Src\Clip\VideoClip.cpp-275]" This happened after I tried the suggestion to delete everything out of the transcode folder for this project. I did that, but when I reopened my project, it didnt ask me to locate any files and only gave me the above error. When I click on on the error, Encore crashes. So I cant do the screen shots of my project.
I'll be glad to add any information I inadvertently left out. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

I'm suddenly getting an
"Error Loading Transcode Preset" message.
It won't let me import files or create timelines from them.
Files are .m2v and .wav
How do I correct this?

I'm getting the same error message upon opening certain projects, others load. when I get the error and click okay I go back to the welcome screen and the project didn't load.
Haven't tried a re-install (at my workplace its a real PITA as they have denied users admin functions so we cannot load our own software)
Besides that, any ideas?? the projects in question were sucessfully created DVD projects, I wanted to go back in and burn another master.

I am using CS4 and Windows 7. I have a .joboptions file I want to load in InDesign, but when I try, I get the error message: Cannot create the file. The folder may be write protected.
I am a local administrator on the computer.
I have tried manually copying the .joboptions file into the folder C:\Users\<my profile>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings, but it doesn’t show up in the list of available presets.
I used the same version of InDesign with Windows XP and was able to load and save presets this way just fine.

When I 'run as administrator' in Windows 7 I have no problems, that is a bit of a solution, but for me it is a mere workaround.
I want to find out how I can load and save PDF export settings without running as Adminstrator, since we have 7 people using the presets and they don't want to run InDesign everytime as an Administrator.
I have all the rights (local admin) to all folders, therefore I was hoping somebody already fixed this in his/her system...
Hope Adobe comes up with some sort of solution for this apperently Windows 7 problem.

Hello,
After solving the problem error importing transcode presets.
I have Mpeg 2 dvd files (.mpg), exported with Premiere CS3.
Now I almost finished my project and put an video as background in a menu and now I am getting the following error: error loading transcode presets.
I am really getting sick of all the errors I am getting from encore dvd cs2 but I know it is the 'easiest' and best way to create dvd's when you're also have premiere cs3.
Cann somebody please help me, to solve this problem?

Encore3 is right there on one of the many discs that come with Premiere3... a separate disk with a separate install

Then I went ahead to do the Member and Data load. I logged into my server and started the member and data load.
Then it gives me the following error:

Why does Photoshop CS open-load presets and plug-ins-then freeze?

Photoshop was working great an hour ago. I closed my project, went to begin a new one, now it loads presets and plugins, reads done, yet it freezes and nothing opens.
I have plenty of RAM and memory, I am running windows 7.
I tried clearing the presets by holding down CTRL+ALT+SHFT - But still no luck.
Any guiding help would be greatly appreciated.

It must be a faulty plug-in that's causing this issue. What version of CS are you running? If it is CS6, have you installed the 13.0.1 update?
In Photoshop, can you go to Help > System Info, 'Copy' the contents and paste it here for us to diagnose your issue please?
