5.0 upgrade - lost Notes in applications and no games. Why?

I upgraded to the newest OS version and I now dont have notes in applications that syncs with my outlook 2007 and there are no games in the games section. Why? ANy solutions? Thanks!

The file was on the same day as the update. I assumed it was a backup done before the update but it seems to be a backup of the updated content. I wonder why?
I have manually retrieved all of my lost apps now, and have re-entered most of my contacts manually. What a pain. I still can't find brick breaker anywhere though and will continue to look. I guess it's not a huge loss but we did enjoy the little game.
I will go into DTM and follow the steps you have outlined. I'll be back to give some kudos, too. I really like this forum. You guys really know your stuff and I'm amazed at how quickly you answer with the good ideas....and you don't make the beginners feel silly for not knowing the basics. That's really great. All apps on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch should be in your iTunes library on your computer.
You can re-download all 3rd party apps and you won't be charged again for a purchased app as long as you use the same iTunes account to re-download the apps that was used to purchase the app originally.

Do this with iTunes on your computer. After you have re-downloaded every app one by one, select Sync Apps under the Apps tab for the device's sync preferences along with selecting the apps below that you want transferred to the device followed by a sync to re-install the apps on the device.

Help!! Lost all my applications and can't find them

Help lost all my applications!! Click on an app and all I get is a question mark come up. All my data is their but my application folder is empty. Checked to see if I have maybe dragged it to another folder and can't find it also checked trash. Tried to install using DVD but says disc not recognised

Exactly what do you mean by that statement?
When you say disc are you referring to the hard drive in your Mac or the DVD?
If the DVD says it can't find the hard drive in your Mac then most likely your hard drive has died and must be replaced. I hope you have a backup.

Are you sure that's what happened?
Typically, there is one iphoto on your computer and each account uses that, so there's no iPhoto for each account. So if you have they should too. Where is it missing from?
The disappearing libraries: did they rename their accounts by any chance?

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Can I revert back to the last firefox because the latest upgrade does not support RoboForm and all my login & passwords are now unavailble

I now have no access to hundreds of my user name and pass word data which was stored on Robo Form. In all previous versions of FireFox this add on was supported. Why did not FireFox warn us of the addons that would not be supported before upgrading. This is serious. How am I to log into all the programs that I use without the login data that was stored on my Fire Fox tool bar?

i will give you a note 690154. Just follow it.
Download the latest version of mentioned programs and copy them in c:\usr\sap\put\exe folder. restart PREPARE.

If Notes is turned on for over the air syncing with your iCloud account settings on each device and you create an iCloud note with iCloud selected for your Notes account on each device.

Sounds like you opened a new account using a new Apple ID. This is the only way you would lose purchases because past pirchasea are always tied to the ID that they were purchased under.

IWeb is not in Application Support Folder. Why? Help!!

I can't figure out how to backup iWeb files to a CD/DVD. I have read everything on the web. It sound like I need to go to my library/application support and find iWeb, then back up "domain.sites".
The big problem with that: iWEB IS NOT IN MY APPLICATION SUPPORT FOLDER.
I've seen other people post with this problem, but no solutions.
Help.

I've been using iWeb forever. Got iLife 08 this fall. Have successfully published a complex web site and had it up and running for months now. I needed to know how to save a copy for backup...because I just should and because there's another long story problem....but I can't find how to save. Everything I read related to what you are suggesting, but that iWeb file/domain file is nowhere to be found. How can this be?

Audio problem only with some application and with games

Some days my ipad2 presents this problem: audio is ok with itunes and when I look a video on youtube but it not work when I use some app (for example, Sky Go, app for cinema to look trailer) or with games.

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

A friend of mine has an Iphone 4 (he is a Verizon customer). When he upgraded the software he lost all his applications and games. How does he get those back?

I have also lost my connection to my mail server. So since Sept 29th I cannot get my email on my phone!!!! I hate Verizon!!

You are not going to believe this but I have actually cracked it and got i tunes and quick time up and running!!!!! Basically I went to the microsoft home page and downloaded any updates including non critical, software and hardware which took a bit of time cos could only install one then re-boot, disabled norton anti virus, turned off my firewall and went to www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win/html and downloaded quick time on its own without i tunes, installed then went to www.apple.com/itunes/download - was slow because I'm not on broadband but hey presto - one happy lady after one whole week of trying to download, it finally worked - keep at it - good luck

Reinstall it:
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List* there.
For older versions that have been installed from Disk you'll need these additional steps:
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
*Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
