5.1 update - Since updating I can't sync my music and it lost two folders of "spoken" category in music folder. Refuses to sync it though I see and can play it on my computer. Help! Any solutions?
I realize this is a dumb question, but as I said, I am not computer savvy. After the download was complete, no pop-up box occurred prompting the install, so as you said, I clicked on start to try to search for the download of it. What do I look for to find the download of the new itunes version? I am embarrassed to be so dumb about this and appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.

I would tell you what the error says, but iTunes is frozen and won't open. I know it's trying to copy a m4v file or something like that. It's the album artwork.

Make sure that yo have the right boxes checked to sync the media

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. -
Upgraded to iTunes 11. Now, I can not sync my music to my iPhone 4S (iOS 6.0.1). Apps, movies and videos sync OK. Music is the problem. Tags are correctly check-marked. NO ERROR MESSAGE THOUGH. Just a No Content in the Music App in the iPhone. Any ideas ???

I have accidentally downloaded Mavericks OS and now I can't sync my calendar and contacts on my iMac with my iPhone.
I don't use iCloud (Don't like it) so I need to resolve this - how?

You cannot accidentally download Mavericks. You have to select to download it. You can always erase your drive and reinstall from the backup you made before you installed Mavericks.

I have an iPod touch 4g. It's white I just got it a week ago. It had iOS 5.0.1 for default. I could get music on my iPod with syncing it from my pc. I updated it to Ios 5.1.1 from my device and now I can't sync music from my computer. It says on my pc that I have the songs that I want on my iPod but when I go into my iPod they are not there. I have already uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling as well as putting my iPod in dfu mode (hold power and home button). I need help please
If you have not taken the iPod apart, Apple will exchange it for a refurbished one for $99. You can do it an an Apple store

i have games on my computer that i did not put there.how do i delete them. now i can't sync anything because it says it is full.
What version iPod do you have? If it is an older click-wheel mode and the games that came with it then there is no way to delete them but they take up very little space.

Hi everyone, I need some help big time. I was currently running the IOS 6.0.1 on my iphone 4 and I could sync and transfer music to my phone via my iTunes account. But I updated my phone to the new IOS 6.1 and now I can not transfer music onto my iphone, all it does is tries to sync the songs but it doesn't. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes back onto my laptop yet it still does not work. Can anyone please help me.

The release of iTunes 11.0.2 and iOS 6.1.2 for my iPhone 4, seems to have sorted everything. I can now sync music, films and photos between my MacBook and my phone.
I was dubious about blindly doing the updates but decided they couldn't really mess up any further functionality so I went for it and it's sorted now.

Lost iTunes with Windows update, now I can't sync iPod Touch
My computer recently updated windows and I lost iTunes and my music library. When I re-installed iTunes, I tried to sync my iPod but it's telling me that I am synced with another library and it wont let me transfer my music from my iPod to the music library. It will only let me transfer purchased music. Is there a way I can restore my old library or will I have to start fresh all over again? It will not let me sync my iPod with my daughters either whether home-sharing is on or not. I also tried home-sharing, it does nothing.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Use your backup copy to put verything back. -
I have had to have a new hard drive fitted and now I cannot sync my Iphone with my Apple Mac, thinks it's a new computer. Any ideas Please?
Alan CI keep this as a copy and paste. It's the same process for Mac as it is for a PC. Read it over and see what you think. Post back if you have questions.

1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your Mac and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on iTunes / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.
Read this thread and the support links as well. There are apps that you can purchase that will allow you to transfer photos from the iPad to your PC. Look at Photo Transfer App in the App store and you can search for others as well.

le to sync any music from I tunes. The problem started when I could not download new music because for some reason I moved the location of the music. At least the e/m says I did. I don't remember doing that. I decided to reformat my I pod and now I can sync my old music either, manually or automatically. I was wondering if I can delete all my music from I tunes & start over with new downloads? Will I get charged again?Ok, got new phone and it worked fine..at first. Now I am getting the same error. I also notice that the iphone goes from saying "sync in progress" to back to the home screen with the icons. And then I get the message "could not sync phone - device not connected"
I am getting seriously frustrated. The Apple tech support people have been ZERO help. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Itunes twice. I have even gone so far as doing a CLEAN install of OS X on my IMAC. Now I have the smae problems as before. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? -
How can I sync the music and ringtones I want from my Mac to my iPhone?
I have an iMac, an iPhone 5s, iTunes 11.1.x, iCloud and iTunes Match. I can't find a combination that will put the music, smart playlists, and ringtones I want on the iPhone. At first iTunes wouldn't sync my ringtones or my smart playlists the iPhone. I finally got the ringtones on but it stubbornly refused to sync a smart playlist of my unrated songs. I turned off iTunes Match and iCloud syncing and managed to get the smart playlist on, but now the ringtones are gone again, including the ones I purchased recently from the ITMS. All I want to do is sync the music, playlists, ringtones, etc. from my master iTunes library on my iMac to my iPhone. The vast majority of my music (7000+ songs) was purchased through iTunes. Some of the ringtones I created from iTunes purchases, some were purchased and downloaded outright. I only care about iCloud as it relates to backing up my contacts, calendar and bookmarks. What combination of turn this on, turn that off and check this box will do this for me? Thanks.
Oops my bad...I see that during my troubleshooting I inadvertently left Ringtones unchecked in iTunes.

Well the problem is nothing happens! I plug my iPhone in and I have it set to sync on sign in to iTunes. I made spne updates to my library by copying a number of CDs I had recently bought and unticked a couple of albums etc When I went in I got all the usual back etc and then it went through the rest of the steps albeit v quickly yet the new stuff wasn't on and the old stuff wasn't taken off. I tried again same thing. I unchecked sync on plugging iPhone in and I got a new message saying that I was using a different library and as I have a new computer and had created a new library I thought this was the problem even though I was using my I store sign in I'd & password anyhow I said yes. So it went through the steps this time a bit slower. However what it did do was delete all the music from my iPhone and did not copy the new music from my computer! Oh deary deary me! Hope anyone can help.

My itunes won't update; therefore, I can't sync my music to iphone
When I open itunes, a message pops up that there is an updated version and asks me if I want to download it. I click download, the message disappears, and then nothing. I currently have version 11.04.4. When I try to sync my iphone with itunes, it tells me it won't do it because it requires version 11.1 or higher. I have tried going to apple.com and clicking the download for the itunes update, but that doesn't seem to work either. It says I downloaded it, but as far as I can tell, I didn't because I keep getting the same message in itunes that an updated version of itunes is available and asks me if I want to download it. I have checked to see if my pop-up blocker is too sensitive. As far as I can tell, it's set on "low." I am not computer savvy at all. Can someone please help?

First post I have just updated iPad to latest iOS and now I can't sync my music in iTunes form Mac which is running latest version it starts but stops straight away and gives no info I've tried with wifi off and on turned everything off and back on but nothing as any one got any idea please ?

So i just got a new Iphone 5s 64 GB. I plugged it into my friends computer and pressed sync with this device only as opposed to sync with other devices and now I can't sync my music from my personal laptop..Is there any way around this?? I'm using Mavericks and newest version of Itunes
Also, I can sync my apps from my laptop but not my music so i'm really confused.. Help pleaseI have the same problem. I bought a 3rd party software (tunejack) and it allowed me to transfer my songs to my new pc. Now I can't play them because I am not authorized. It says I am but then it says im not.

I find it annoying that, if I have a finder window with several open tabs and I close the whole window at once, the next time I click the finder it will open up that same window with multiple tabs I don't need anymore instead of my default location.
