5.2 update size !

How big was the update? I updated my 1080p TV2 in my bedroom which is connected via wifi and it took well over an hour, I'd say closer to 2. I put this down to it being on a different level of the house to the router and that my daughter was watching rubbish on youtube on my iMac.
I'm now updating my 1080p TV2 in the living room which is connected via ethernet and although it seems a little quicker i can see that is gonna easlily take an hour to do and this time the only other thing using the Broadband signal is the macbook that I'm using to type this.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.

  • Mp3 playback bug after update (size greater than 8 MB & Bitrate 192...)

    okay, after the upgrade to the itunes version 7.4 something strange happened. I couldn't play some files any more. After some testing i figured out that the affected files had a pattern - namely:
    size > 8MB &
    Bitrate > 192 &
    No Album Picture
    This isn't a quicktime bug - quicktime can play these songs fine. I think that there is some error with the "pre" loading of the album artwork for files of that kind. I'd classify this as a serious bug because one of my favorite albums (nick cave) is affected from this bug
    regards,
    Georg

    I've solved it.
    The problem is that itunes can't read certain mp3 tag informations after the update (7.4) any more (although mostof these tags were creted with former itunes versions).
    What I did was to remove all mp3 tags in my library with a tool called mp3tag (http://www.mp3tag.de). Afterwards I let itunes recreate the mp3tags. It looks as if the metadata is stored twice: once in the mp3tag and in the database.
    anyhow. Itunes recreates the correct mp3tag out of its database if the tag was deleted from the file.
    that did the trick -without having to recreate the database.
    PS: Steve should send me a free mp3 player, because it took me 2 days to fix this problem.
    PPS: Use a script like the following to find all dead track before doing as said before:
    [snip]
    /* Rename me to FindDeadTracks.js
    Double Click in Explorer to run
    Script by Otto - http://ottodestruct.com */
    var ITTrackKindFile = 1;
    var iTunesApp = WScript.CreateObject("iTunes.Application");
    var deletedTracks = 0;
    var mainLibrary = iTunesApp.LibraryPlaylist;
    var tracks = mainLibrary.Tracks;
    var numTracks = tracks.Count;
    var i;
    var fso, tf;
    fso = new ActiveXObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject");
    tf = fso.CreateTextFile("Dead Tracks.txt", true);
    while (numTracks != 0)
    var currTrack = tracks.Item(numTracks);
    // is this a file track?
    if (currTrack.Kind == ITTrackKindFile)
    // yes, does it have an empty location?
    if (currTrack.Location == "")
    // write info about the track to a file
    tf.WriteLine(currTrack.Artist + "," + currTrack.Album + "," + currTrack.Name);
    deletedTracks++;
    numTracks--;
    if (deletedTracks > 0)
    if (deletedTracks == 1)
    WScript.Echo("Found 1 dead track.");
    else
    WScript.Echo("Found " + deletedTracks + " dead tracks.");
    else
    WScript.Echo("No dead tracks were found.");
    tf.Close();

  • Update size 15 times size of original download. Found two update files this

    Hello,
    After a week or two finding a 111mb Java update in my add remove program I came across another idenctical size 111mb Java update in my add remove program for windows xp.
    I removed both and reinstalled Java yesterday. Today I have a 111mb update in the add remove program.
    Nothing detected with AVG free.
    ALWAYS had an issue with Java files properties and icon appearance in the downloaded files folder (claiming it was non functioning and displaying Name:load of garble unicode and displaying exclamation mark symbol).
    This appeared even after full system reinstallation on both XP sp2 and 2000 sp4 but I have no problems with the functionality.
    Works fine all the time as best I can recall.
    I do have the J2RSE but it was only 7.something mb and I only reinstalled it yesterday. I am set for notification on automatic updates but nothing notified.
    1ghz processor and it is behaving on its own and running full when connected to certain 'leave comment' or 'message' pages. Cannot connect this to a particular .exe (besides IE7 or explorer.exe) or any connection to download activity exept that I have done a bit of downloading I chose. It was running 60-70% on a bare desktop today so something is happening.
    I have plenty of memory and graphics for anything I am using. 400mb and 256mb.
    If you recognise these symptoms please tell me about it.
    All best
    Munkey

  • Update size in wwdoc_document$ table

    Hello!
    I need to update the blob field into the wwdoc_document$ table.
    I'm able to do it. The problem is that I'm not able to change
    the size field of the document in the same table (I receive a
    trigger error on update). The portal itself doesn't change the
    blob size after blob field update!
    Is there a way to update this size?
    Thank you.
    Lorenzo

    What do you mean when you say that Portal doesn't change the
    size? How are you updating the document? The only supported
    way to do this (other than through the UI) is to upload a
    document using the PL/SQL gateway and then use the
    modify_item_post_upload procedure to point the item to the new
    document.

  • 8.2 update size

    Hi.
    Since I purchased the I phone 6 I have had 2 software updates.
    From looking on the web, 8.2 was around 450Mb download.
    Mine was 1.85Gb.
    8.1.3 was about the same size.
    Why am I reading on the web that the update is much smaller than what my phone is downloading?
    Thanks.

    It was through itunes. Took 3 hours to download.
    In itunes you could see that the current ios was 8.1.3 but still ended up downloading 1.85 gb.

  • 2.0 update size

    just wondering if it was mentioned or if anyone knew how much room the new software will take up...am i wrong in thinking that the "AppStore" may require a lot of space

    Average size so far of all firmware updates was 170MB (at least download size). Now the app store is just an App itself, just some menus and what not that will pull images and data from web (like iTunes WiFi store when added). When the iTunes WiFi store was added, it added very little size to the firmware. Now Apps you buy from the AppStore, each with be a variable size depending on the application (though rules state 2GB will be max size...and I can only see really large scale games with embedded graphics getting that big, or large DB type apps such as medical apps that may store local db).

  • Update size

    I downloaded and installed the Security Update 2009-005 for my Intel iMac, with no glitches. My question is, that the Version Tracker site lists the size of this file as 180.5Mg, but when the download is finished it is only 93mg. What is the difference in these, if any. I also downloaded the Tiger version for my Powerbook G4 without any problems.

    I think VT just got it mixed up with the Security Update 2009-005 Server (Leopard), which is 181 MB...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL936
    Or maybe Apple is messed up, not sure yet!
    Some anomaly here, it seems to be the size of the Server update, (181MB), but is named the same as the client version, (91.34MB)...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL936
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL935
    I notified VT.
    Strange... VT's 181MB starting size switched to 93.1 MB half way through the Download!?

  • Updates, size and timing

    I have satellite internet, and am limited in download amount per day. is it possible to find out the size of the updates before downloading them? Or, is there a way to have the updates automatically download at a specific time?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    You can pause the download at any time. When the download starts it will show you how many MB it is. You can then tap pause and continue at a convenient time.

  • O/s update sizes...for those who'd like to keep count

    i got my both my playbook & ipad2 on the same april 19th day shipped to me. since then the playbook has had shall we say loosely half a dozen o/s updates each 300MB+. and today, voila, i finally had my first ipad o/s update and its 600MB+ & not over-the-air.
    of course, also since that day, i had no choice but started to be a regular in this - make no mistake, fine, fine - community; while i had used my 90-day apple free support exactly once.

  • Software update size?

    if we install software update like belle update in nokia n8,701,c601,c7 etc then belle update install will be in phone memory?Because some mobile have low memory like c601 and nokia 5800 etc from other series?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Rainbow7
    Belle will be made available for N8, Nokia E7, Nokia X7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia C7, Nokia Oro, Nokia E6, and Nokia 500.
    Because it is firmware update then the it usually  go to the internal memory. There is no Symbian belle available for 5800.

  • Why is the size of WIN7SE updates 4 GB

    I never tried to add any update to my answer file until today. Once I applied applicable updates to the answer file, the ICE applied ~300 updates and the footprint size immediately expand from 2 GB to 6 GB. I tried to delete some unessential packages to
    see if I can reduce the update size by doing so but found it not very useful. I also tried to clean old updates after deploying image but nothing was removed. I wonder if it is normal to have 4 GB updates or I did anything wrong?

    Yes, this is normal. Did you run the clean up tool:

  • Applications update equal to the size of the origi...

    Hi All,
    Its been amazing to be part of the Lumia Family. I have a doubt which I want to discuss here.
    I have read somewhere , I am not able to recaptulate where but it said that the app updates in
    WP will contain only the new changes thereby making the app update size smaller than the
    original size of the app itself i.e the app updates will be incremental type.
    In practical usage I see the full package is downloaded again of the app rather than the just the
    new changes otherwise which it would have make the update size smaller.
    Any ideas about this ? Is it developer side dependency ?
    Thanks

  • Fatal error while updating to 10.2

    Hi,
    I got a brand new Q5 - no apps other than default and there is plenty of memory available (more than the software update size). I am trying to update the device software using BBLink. While updating, it gives me an error "Fatal Unrecoverable error".
    I also can't seem to setup the Blutooth device connection between my Q5 and my desktop.
    Any help is highly appreciated.

    Hi and Welcome to the Community!
    Given the error you receive, I would first check to be sure you have the most recent version of LINK. Failing that, I would attempt to use the Sachesi method of updating. Failing that as well, I would revert to using an AutoLoader to see if it can accomplish what LINK cannot do. Do be aware that an AutoLoaders are completely destructive to your device data...be sure you have a full backup as well as full manual documentation of your configuration.
    Good luck!
