5 minutes 6 seconds then freeze

Hi. I've been suffering the same problems as most with I chat AV 3.
I get the same did not responds and faild to answer problems. My Girlfriend who uses aol an a pc always has to start the video conferance.
The biggest problem is that when we've been talking exactly 5 minutes and 6
seconds the video freezes and we have to restart. This happens with tiger and with panther. I'm not sure if its a problem on my side or on her pc side.
I've followed a lot of the help already in thes forums but this one has me stuck.
Any help would be great

HI All,
James has posted that his faster computer will now connect succesfully now that he has a new camera and Drivers for it.
This would hint at drivers or possibly the part of those drivers that allow the video Quality to be set to a point that frames (rate) do not over run the Mac's buffer.
In Panther and iChat 2.x you could see in the Consol Log that iChat was dropping frames but this info no longer appears. There was no proof that this was the problem. Nor does it seem to be cured by the buffer in iChat 3.
The only real work around is to stop the chat and restart it.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Seems like you tried this all ready and it didn't help.
Next might be to reset all settings.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings
Note that when you do this you will not lose data but you will have to enter all passwords again.
If that doesn't help you might tries a restore of your iPad using iTunes on the computer you normall sync with. Do a backup and save all data first. Or
Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Video only plays for a few seconds, then freezes

The video, which I got from the apple website, plays fine in iTunes but once I upload it to the iPod it will only play for a few seconds before freezing and becoming nonresponsive. Is this a software problem? Anyone know of a solution? Thanks.

Here are more detailed instructions on how to go back to 1.0, espescially if you bought your iPod in the last couple of months and it came with 1.1.
First, please download the older version of the iPod Updater here...

Now install that updater and restart your computer.
Now open the iPod updater (Start-->all programs-->iPod and find the iPod updater you just installed
Open the iPod Updater and connect your iPod. With that older version of the iPod updater you just installed, restore your iPod by clicking restore.
The iPod will restore and go back to software version 1.0. Now reload everything back into iTunes.

Plays only 20 seconds, then freezes

I have the U2 edition iPod and on Friday I added new songs (roughly 150?). After I did that my brother borrowed it and used his own headphones.
Since yesterday, when I play songs, it only plays 20 seconds and then stops, moves to the next song and it repeats the cycle. When I use the clicker to go back or change playlists, it freezes for a few seconds and then the same cycle starts again.
I dont know what happened or how to fix it.
Any suggestions?

Final Cut Pro 4.5 and Final Cut Express 3.0 - 5 minute captures then freeze

Something I have found with Final Cut Pro 4.5 and Final Cut Express 3.0.
After Updating to Tiger - 10.4.11 and Quicktime 7.4.1 - Both Pro 4.5 and Express 3.0 will not capture more then 5 minutes and 12 seconds. If you are having this issue the solution I used to fix both Pro and Express issues was an update on the software. Final Cut Pro 5 fixed the problem (or 6 if you can) and with Final Cut Express, version 3.5 fixed the issue but if you can go with FCX 4.
Let me know if this helped or if you have found a different solution. Downgrading the os might help but that is too much of a pain and it's time to upgrade the software anyway.

The Final Cut software is looking for a graphics card type that is required for that version of the software. FCP 4 and FCP 4.5 were released when AGP cards were the requirement. Attempting to open this on a Mac with a PCIe graphics card, such as an Intel Mac, will cause this error. FCP 4.5 is not supported on the Intel Macs. An Animated Avatar GIF file moves as expected for about 5 minutes, and then freezes. Other animated avatars from the same site work fine, and move indefinitely. To confirm that the site had not exchanged the file for a non-animated version, I right-clicked and selected 'View Image Info' and when I did so, it moved for about half a second. (The image file was the one uploaded.) Loaded the page in IE, this avatar moves indefinitely.
Any ideas why an animated GIF stops in Firefox?

The answer is that Animated GIF files include a Loop Enable Flag as well as a Loop Limit Count. This GIF had a count which should have allowed it to loop for almost 2 hours. But in Firefox it only loops for about 5 minutes.
It appears Firefox is misinterpreting this value to be a Frame Count rather than a Cycle Count.
Is there any Firefox Employees reading this, and can acknowledge this has been added to their Opportunity (a.k.a. Bug) List?

Odds are only someone that develops apps for iOS would have access to whatever this is and, even then, this information may still not be available.
I would do a backup of your phone & then erase it and restore from the backup to see if the odd behavior goes away. If so, something went funny with your update the first time around. If not, there's something in your backup that's making the phone throw a fit.
I resolved my battery issues (more or less) by disabling the "set date/time automatically" setting. I haven't re-enabled it yet but my battery life has been much better with it off.

8800 GTS 512 OC - Runs in 3D for few minutes then freezes

Hi there.
I just got an 8800 GTS 512 OC, upgrading from a Radeon 1950 XT. The card works fine in 2D (it's in the machine as I type this). But when I try to play any game, it works fantastically for a few minutes (or seconds depending on how intensive the game is), and then freezes completely, with sound looping endlessly. I have to reboot to get out of it.
I got the latest WHQL driver from Nvidia, 169.25, but that didn't help things. Oh, and don't worry, I removed the old ATI drivers and ran DriverClean Pro to remove any hidden remnants before I installed the card and drivers.
I cannot use MSI Live Update, because as soon as I install it, I get a BSOD after rebooting:

Thinking it might be an OS issue, I then reformatted the system and ran a clean install of windows, but the same thing happened again. Makes me suspect that this is a hardware issue, since it seems the new WHQL driver is working jsut fine for other people.

The card also fails while testing with ATITool artifacts scanner. A worrying thing I have noticed is that the fan speed does not adjust as temperature increases. Instabilities while running ATITool start when the card hits around 75C, and gets worse and worse as it passes 80C. Fan still runs at same speed. Might be a fan controller issue, but this card should not be having problems at 75C-85C.
I should specify, that it does not actually fail the artifact test...it just starts freezing, then going again, then freezing, then going again, until it freezes completely.
I really do not know what to do next. I think my card is just plain faulty, so thinking of RMA. If anyone has any ideas or advice, please please help me out.

I solved the problem! The updates orignally were downloaded to the C: drive of the server. I've since moved them to the E: drive and for some reason the Content folder in IIS didn't change the file path to the new WSUScontent folder.
The root cause for this was failing to use the UTILITY designed for this very purpose.
I edited the virtual directory settings in IIS and was able to put the correct path in.
You still need to use the UTILITY.. to fix all the other stuff you're still missing.
In the %ProgramFiles%\Update Services\Tools folder...
WSUSUTIL MOVECONTENT E:\WSUS E:\WSUS\MoveContent.LOG -SKIPCOPY

Update: my phone's connecting to the WiFi again. I don't know what did the trick. I did nothing since reinstalling the software. It hadn't worked then, it is now. I tried connecting to my dad's phone's hotspot( he uses a Moto G), and it worked. I then tried connecting to the WiFi at a friend's house, and when I came back home, my phone was able to connect to my WiFi! Is it of any significance that my friend's router doesn't require a password? My issue has been resolved( for now; I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they've hatched). For anyone facing a similar issue, I suggest you try everything I did:
1. Turn your router off for a minimum of 30 seconds, turn it back on and try connecting.
2. Click on the WiFi network you are connected to, scroll to the bottom, tap "Renew Lease".
3. Do a soft and hard reset.
4. Reset network settings.
5. Back your data up, erase all content from settings menu, restore from backup.
6. Reinstall your software( put it in recovery mode).
I am not sure which of the above worked for me. Make sure you try everything. If none of the above works, take it to a genius bar or an authorised service provider. Good luck! :)

Ipod Plays 2 seconds of a song, the freezes 3/4 seconds, then plays fine?!

Basically ive got the latest firmware, my Ipod plays the two seconds at the start of any song.
The thing then freezes for about 4 seconds!
The ipod photo then continues to play the song quite happily?!
It seems to do it every time i use it. Is it due to the amount of music I have on it (almost full / 30 gb)? I guess its not. Im lost .
Any ideas??

Yeah I had to restore it . Shame, had a lot of music that i now have to put back on. Oh well, problem solved .
