Hi all,
After searching a lot in finding the best cross-platform organizer & viewer around, I finally (ALMOST) found it.
It is called XnView MP and it has an ultra-fast thumbnail manager, viewer - it supports a very big number of file formats for thumbnailing/viewing - including InDesign(!) - a top-notch cataloging, the best & fastest batch convert which I could find and... <insert your advertising of choice here>.
Highly recommended.

However there is a problem:
When we add/edit the metadata for an image (specifically the caption) in its IPTC/XMP editor (Ctrl+I), the text isn't shown with the Live Captions feature of InDesign CS6.
We discuss with the developing team of XnView MP and they are very responsive and want to fix the problem but we don't know (yet) from where InDesign reads its metadata.
Some more technical info to describe the problem:
1. The files are TIFF (LZW packed) files.
2. If we open the file in Photoshop, press Ctrl+Shift+I in order to bring its IPTC editor, the caption entered with XnView shows up correctly in the Description field.
3. If, after the step 2, we close the editor with 'Ok' do a 'Save As' in Photoshop and overwrite the file, the caption will appear correctly in InDesign.
4. If, after the stpe 3, we (re)open the image in XnView MP's IPTC editor the caption is there.
It seems that Photoshop does something behind the scenes and fill the area from where InDesign reads it.
Does someone know from what fields InDesign reads its info for Live Captions?

I don't really have an answer for you - I guess it's up to them to figure it out.

Hi, this is described in the 7.2.2 documentation much better than before.

I am sorry, my english isn't very good.
Next try :) I send a iMessage from my ipad (wifi only) to a friend and he answers but i don't receive the answer on the ipad but on the iphone instead. Both devices using the same Apple ID (Settings>Messages>Receive At, same Adress on both devices). I tought iMessages are always received on bothe devices, like the advertisment says i should be able to start a iMessage conversation on ipad and finish it on iphone because both devices receive my iMessages... Thats not like it is on my devices, most times iMessages are only received from the iphone.

if the issue was from beginning (dead on arrival) you can call the apple hotline and they can create a replacment for you.
but if the issue wasnt from beginning than it is a cosmetical issue, cosmetical issues are not covered by the apple warranty. than you should make an appointment in an apple retail store and hope that the workers there replace that device.

You need Lightroom 5.5 or later (the most current version is 5.7.1). This is a free update if you have already purchased an earlier version of Lightroom 5.

Scratches on the back of my MacBook Pro, are these from where they machined the aluminium or was this a worker at the factory being careless?

There's no way to know the reason why they are there, but it looks like a human mistake.
You have 14 days to return your Mac if you bought it from Apple, so do it and get a new one. This is what you should do if you have any problem

From where to listen the recorded messages?

We have a network which consists of CUCM, UCCX, AQM, CUC. During after hours, if someone calls, the IVR will ask to press * to record a message. But from where shall we listen to these recorded messages?

That wouldn't be enough information to answer your question.
Are you an administrator of the phone system or a supervisor?
All of those products are capable of recording a phone call, but since you mentioned the IVR, it's like narrowed down to UCCX and/or AQM.
UCCX is playing the IVR for sure, and cannot record the call in the IVR, only once it lands on the Agent, which really just leaves AQM. But I'm guessing here, based on limited information.
If you also agree that it's AQM that is doing the recordings, which I'm not even positive it can record a call at the IVR level, then you would need to access the web interface for AQM to listen to the recordings.
If you post your IVR script from UCCX, we could see what is happening after the user presses *. Such as sending an HTTP POST to AQM or the like.

How can I autoindexing data from vi that read the serial port (CODE)

Hello. I´m working in a proyect in the company, the proyect consist in read two incremental encoders for the inspection of automotors supension. I have a Digital Read Out System that read the 2 linear encoders, the DRO it has a serial RS-232 interface, i can read the data from the DRO to my computer, but now, I want to storage the information in Arrays (for autoindexing) for then make a graphic, If you want check the program, and if you tell me information, or a example code thanks for yor help.

hi there
to collect scalar data in an array you can use a so called "Shift register". To display the history of scalar data you can use a Waveform Chart (not a "Graph", a "Chart"). See attachments. because i can't save the vi as 5.1 i appended some screenshots of the front panel and the block diagramm.

Where to read the default log

Anybody know where I can read the log for default logic?

you can find them under the "PrivatePublications" directory of the user (webfolders/<appset>/<app>/PrivatePublications/<user>/tempfiles).
As far as I know you can only read the last Default log execution, the name of the file is "DebugLogic.log".

XI / Change Folder from where Engine grabbes the files

Hi there,
i have a just a little question.
We have an XI and the XI takes XML Files from an folder
/XYZ/export1/
I want know that the engine grabbes the files from
/XYZ/export23/
I went to the Integration Builder and found the point: Sourcefolder
for this Scenario.
I changed it and activated the Scenario again.
When i put now a file in /XYZ/export23/ the Engine do not grab the file. The file lies there...
When i change the directory to the old one: /XYZ/export1/
Then the engine grabs my xml file in there... ?!
Did i have to change more then the Sourcefolder in the Integration Builder?

Just go into RWB -> Adapter Engine -> Communication channel monitoring.
It will show you the error so you will be able to understand that why XI is not able to pick up the file.
Most probably your new folder will not have read/ write permission for the user that you are using.
Check the authorization groups and get the necessary authorization.
