5 Seperate Quiz Pools selected

I am very new to Captivate 8 having spent many years using Articulate. I am trying to complete what I thought was a very simple task, but sadly after 2 hours I am begging for help.
I have created 4 separate Question Pools. I wanted to have a single page where the user could select which pools would be taken. This could be 1, 2, 3, or all of the pools or any combination.
I know that in Articulate I would just have 4 Check Boxes and dependant on which were selected the question pools would be accessed.
I am sure the format is much the same on Captivate but I am struggling to find out how to do this?
I have inserted a Click Box but I am unable to make it visible when previewed.

Captivate and Articulate are very different beasts.
With question pools in Captivate, you create the quiz question slides and then add/move them into the Question Pools from the main project. Then you have to insert Random Quiz slides into the main project, specifying for each random slide which pool it will draw from. If you do not set any Random Quiz slide to draw from a particular pool, then that pool will not be used.
So Captivate allows you to specify how many questions come from pools, as well as how many pools will be used, as well as have normal quiz slides that are NOT part of pools as well.
As far as having a single page where the user determines which pools will be taken...You can achieve this by creating user Variables and Conditional Advanced Actions that dynamically alter the navigation so that users skip or do not visit certain quiz slides. There's also an option in Quiz Settings called Branch Aware that you can turn on so that the Quiz Score will be based ONLY on the quiz question slides the user visits.
Click Boxes are always invisible to the user. If you want to have something that is visible and needs to be clicked as well, consider using either a Shape Button or a Transparent Button.

Resource pool selection enhancement in UCCX 7.0

Good day. The issue is with our current CSQ setup and available resource pool selection criteria. Just for your record here is how its currently configured.
We have five languages based CSQ’s operating in our call centre and following is how they are currently configured.
I. English
Contains all agents in the call centre
Resource pool selection mode – Resource Group
Resource Selection Criteria – Circular
II. Italian / French / German / Spanish
Resource pool selection mode – Resource Skills
Resource Selection Criteria – Most Skilled
Minimum Competence Level - 5 for respective CSQ
Agents skill ratings are set currently in following manner
Italian Agents – Italian (10), German (5), French (5), Spanish (5)
French Agents – French (10), German (5), Italian (5), Spanish (5)
German Agents – German (10), French (5), Italian (5), Spanish (5)
Spanish Agents – Spanish (10), French (5), Italian (5), German (5)
Now , all non- English CSQ are setup based on “Resource Skills” and “ Most Skilled” algorithm being set as resource selection criteria. Which currently defaults to “ Longest Available” if two or more agents have equal competency level. Things are nice and smooth until calls routed to Longest Available agent and they go for shorter smoke or toilet breaks. Calls then get routed to the next longest available agent who in our case have already answered the previous call coming to same CSQ. So what’s happening here is, agents who doesn’t go for these shorter breaks get punished with more calls.
We don’t have this problem on English CSQ as we have different resource pool selection set in there. Which is Set as Resource group with “Circular” as resource selection criteria. This works fine because there’s no fall-back to “ Longest Available”. We have tried every other selection criteria but none works for us unfortunately. Raising this with you hoping you can advise different technique or guide us to the right path to re-design our non-English CSQs. Can you tell if we can create additional resource selection criteria other than the default ones? Can we add something like followings
•1. Lowest total talk time
•2. Least Handled contacts
•3. Circular ( like you can select when agents are in recourse group )
Also , is there a way to change the default selection criteria “ Longest Available” to something else. E.g. Shortest Average Handle Time or anything else.
Any help would be highly appriciated.

If you're using skills-based routing it's going to work the way you've described it above: the most skilled agent who has been in the READY state the longest will be offered the next call. If you want to use Circular or Most Handled Contacts (Least Handled Contacts is not an option sadly) you must use a Resource Group on the CSQ instead of a Skill. The problem with that is that you can only assign an agent to one Resource Group.
Sorry but this is sort of an either/or decision. You can't mix the behaviors.

Quiz pool and hiding playbar

I have created a project with a quiz pool. For the quiz I want to disable the skin editor showing the navigation bar so that they cannot go backwards. I have done this with other projects with quiz questions. I then show the playbar on the quiz results slide so that they can exit.
On each question slide I have the action set that on enter, assign cpCmndShowPlaybar with 0. This hides the playbar. What I have found then, after answering the question you cannot advance to the next question.
If not using a question pool you can have the question slide actions set to go to next slide, but you don't have that option on in a question pool slide.
Am I missing something?

It looks like I have found a way.
In Filmstrip view:
Quiz Properties for each slide Random Question slide has Action: on success: go to next slideThis of course means they ahve to answer correctly before they can advance - although we were asking for only 80% to pass
In Question Pool view:
Each slide in Quiz Properties has the Action: attempts:infinite and show retry message.
Each slide in Properties has Action: on enter: assign: cpCmndShowPlaybar with 0
Overall Quiz preferences does not seem to matter since they cannot advnace to next question until answering questions correctly.
We wanted to have it with only needing 80% correct, but sinceyou can only set the Random Quiz slide quiz properties to have an action based "on success" as opposed to "on enter" you can't make the slide advance until they answer correctly. I guess I could change from infinite attempts for each question to only 1 attempt.

Module Pool Selection Screen

The user wants the custom module pool selection screen to look like a list selection screen. Meaning that they want to have the multiple selection box come up at the end of the field. I don't think that this is possible but maybe someone has some ideas

Hi,
The easy way out is use a report program so you can have a normal selection screen and enjoy the variant capability for free. You can then do a 'call screen' so the rest of your processing will behave like a dialog program.
If that's not possible, here's another option. It's not elegant, but I've done it. If others have better ways, please do share.
1) Create a dummy program (ZXXXVARI). In this program, all it needs is the selection fields similar to what you have in your module pool.
2) Add buttons to your dialog screen so users can choose variants, save variant, etc.
3) Define internal array VALUTAB LIKE RSPARAMS.
4) When user wants to save their selection, populate VALUTAB, then call FUNCTION 'RS_CREATE_VARIANT' EXPORTING CURR_REPORT = "ZXXXVARI", etc., or call function 'RS_CHANGE_CREATED_VARIANT', depending on whether the variant already exists on the table VARI or not.
5) When user wants to choose a variant to use, just display the variants in VARI under his id. Once he selects a variant, CALL FUNCTION 'RS_VARIANT_CONTENTS' to retrieve the values saved and put them on the dialog screen.

Interval in the module pool selection screen

   I am creating selection screen in module pool program. I know how to set search help for each field.
But if I have select-options like fields, how can I have "Interval button". Is there any fuction module for that? should I use ranges?

Follow these steps:-
To implement select-options in module pool, first design two input/output fields (textboxes) for the low and high value of the field and name it as <field_name>-low and <field_name>-high.
Create a button next the high value textbox and keep its sutaible function code.
Now, to call the pop-up on this button click, we have to call the same pop-up as in standard      select-options. For this we have to use the function module COMPLEX_SELECTIONS_DIALOG.
For this FM we have to pass the table name, field name and the range for the field whose range needs to fill when using the popup screen.
To pass the table name and field name details into the FM, we have to declare as:
DATA : tab TYPE rstabfield.
This structure comprises of table name and field name.
Pass these details in program as:-

How can I change the language of the quiz popup "select more answers" in iBooks author?

Hi all,
I am relatively new to iBooks author. I've been creating a quiz with multiple answers. When I review my iBook on my iPad and only select one answer, it shows me a popup with the text "select more answers". Does anyone know how to change the language of that box? I'm working in German, iBooks author is set to German... I just can't figure out how I can change the language of that box.
Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, what you see in the popup when viewing the book in the iBooks app is supposed to take on the language of the OS. I don't know why it would not work on your iPad....

IP pool selection from RADIUS

Hi,
I'm trying to assign different ip addresses to each vpn client depending the group the belong to. To do so, I create three different pools locally to the router and configure the radius server to send the Cisco-AVPair=”ip:addr-pool=poolname” attribute. The radius server is sending this attribute correctly but the router isn't using it. If I try with the Framed-IP-Address it works fine, but not for the pool.

Without enabling authorization, testuser connects succesfully, but after I enable authorization to instruct the router to accept pool configuration, it automatically authenticate using the isakmp Users user, without asking for the real vpn testuser client and the connection fails.
Is authorization essential? Using authentication I can assign ip addresses from Radius.
I also used the Framed-IP-Pool value without success.
What I'm missing?

As you can see, the router authenticates automatically using the Users user configured under at the isakmp client configuration group. The VPN client software does not prompt for the real user account and fails. Why the router is not asking for the user? I was expecting the router performs authentication first and authorization later. Take a look at the FreeRadius debug:

Infopath 2010: How To Seperate Multiple Users Selected In People Picker With A Semicolon

I've seen several posts on this forum about getting multiple user values in a people picker in Infopath to show up in a Sharepoint List. Obviously, they merge which isn't all that useful if you want to use that data for a workflow. I followed
Clayton Cobb's suggestion, and took a look at this blog which uses a
no code solution, which is what i need. Everything for this blog works for me, but I do not need to use the UserProfile web service.
I'm coming up just short though. I can successful select multiple users in my people picker, and as I do that, the text box populates itself separated by semicolons, but the same AccountId is repeated (of the 1st person selected in the people picker) instead
of the unique value of each user.

Can someone please help me? I'm very close. Here is my function on the text box:

I need the pa_thrh field just parallel to the so_time1 but when i tried i am getting a error like error in generating the screen?
Can any advice how to place the fileds side by side in module pool select options?

In your code the problem is with the
SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT 10(20) text-022 FOR FIELD pa_thrh.
try by changing the position of pa_thrh.
I mean,
SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT 52(20) text-022 FOR FIELD pa_thrh.
Note:
If You add 'SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT' statement also to so_time1 then you have to change position according to size and position. suppose you declare as like this,
SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT 2(10) text-022 FOR FIELD so_time1.
then add 12 positions to pa_thrh field.
SELECTION-SCREEN COMMENT 64(20) text-022 FOR FIELD pa_thrh
but at this point , You have no choice to use another field i.e, so_time2 because it crosses the line .

There are Two ways to achieve it...
1) How to create a select-options in a module pool screen.
Method 1
a) Create a subscreen area in your screen layout where you want to create the select options.
b) In the top include of your module pool program declare a selection screen as a subscreen e.g.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 100 AS SUBSCREEN.
select-options s_matnr for mara-matnr.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF SCREEN.
c) In the PBO and PAI of the main screen where the select options needs to be created do a call subscreen of the above screen (100).
CALL SUBCREEN sub_area INCLUDING <program> <screen>
This call subscreen statement is necessary for transport of values between screen and program.
Note: All validations of the selection screen fields e.g. the s_matnr field created above should be done in selection screen events like AT SELECTION-SCREEN etc and not in PAI. These selection screen validations etc should be done in the top include only.
Method 2
a) Create 2 separate fields in your screen layout - one for the low value and one for the high value. Insert an icon beside the high value which will call the multiple selections popup screen on user command. Use function module COMPLEX_SELECTIONS_DIALOG to achieve this.

Read the very first entry of the range table and pass it to
dynpro screen field

You can use the return table rng_kunnr to populate your own internal range table with the values entered by the user. Basically here you are just simulating the work of a select-options parameter by module pool screen elements.

Quiz Questions provide no selectable answers in HTML5 Publish

I am having issues with quizzing, whereas HTML5 format doesn't allow the user to select answers in quiz slides…
I am publishing a Captivate 7 project to two separate LMS' for beta testing purposes.
When I publish the project as HTML5 only, the quiz question appears as well as possible answers, but the form field does not appear, therefore rendering the user completely incapable of selecting an answer.
Publishing the same project as swf and HTML5 renders perfect results. (Quiz slide, selectable answers, and form field all show up and work)
Any advice?

I solved my own problem.
I had inserted a background image into each of the question master slides.
When looking at either the master slide or timeline slide, the slide would lokk good. All text and slide objects, including answers, would show up on the slide as they should.
However, once published, the background image would cover the form fields used to select correct answers. This not only prevented the user from selecting an answer, but also caused major issues with audio and CC tracks after the quiz.

Accessibility: Cannot get focus on text on Random Quiz

I have created a Question Pool of 24 questions. The quiz randomly selects 10 questions. When the first question's Submit button is pressed, the focus goes to the next question's radio buttons (answers), not the text (the question). Is there any way to direct the focus to the question before the answers? I tried re-ordering objects on the question slide, but the Order options (Send to Back, Bring to Front, etc) are all grayed-out.
Help me Captiv8r, you're my only hope.

Yes, we were sold a bill of goods. I wish the Cp dev team would have people with disabilities test Captivate. I think they'd have a BIG surprise realizing that there's more to accessibility than just 508 compliance. If Adobe is serioius about going after the state and federal government markets, they'd better get their product on par. As it stands from an AT perspective, it's almost useless. With the threat that we can be sued if websites and training is not accessible, this is a real legitimate concern. Take the lawsuit a few years back where Target was sued for their website not being accessible. It cost them 6 Million in damages. Adobe Captivate Dev Team... are you listening???
Any how, thank you for the tip on re-ordering the quiz elements. I'll have to give that a shot. I wish there was a way to make our voices heard besides the feature request form and this forum... championing a cause like accessibility needs more of a platform than that... but it's a start nontheless.

Captivate 7 quiz freeze

Hello,
I have a 10 question quiz (all questions are mulitple choice from a quiz pool) that freezes up in random locations once it is uploaded to our LMS (Blackboard). I have this problem when I upload it as SCORM 1.2 or 2004.
I've made several modifications to the quiz based on discussions on this board but the quiz is still "freezing".
All Random question slide Action for success and last attempt is set to go to the next slide
All slides are set to .5 seconds and I've pushed the pause as close to the end of each slide timeline possible.
Report Answers checkbox is checked
When I leave the play bar available during the quiz you can see that the quiz "runs out" of play bar.
Quiz preference:
Completion Critera I have checked Quiz and selected Quiz is Passed. The quiz is set for a passing grade at 90%.
Check marked Success Critera and selected Quiz is Passed check box.
The LMS we are currently using is Blackboard Learn 9.1 Service Pack 11, Cumulative Patch 16

Did you delete your quiz results slide? I have built custom quiz questions and because I never used an 'official' quiz question, I never got a quiz results slide (which CP automatically adds to the project when you add an 'official' quiz question). What I found was that my quiz would freeze at the strangest times...usually a few slides before the last question. As soon as I added a dummy 'official' quiz question, then CP added in the quiz results slide and it never froze again. I looked at your screenshot and I couldn't see if you had a quiz results slide or not, so I figured I would ask.
I think there is some form of strabeness happening with the quiz questions reporting to the quiz result slide. It seems like CP doesn't report to the slide after every question is answered, but rather it fires something off when it thinks it's getting close to the end. If it can't find that slide, then it locks up. At least that's what has happened in the past for me. It would lock up both when I ran the module local on my desktop AND when I ran it through the LMS. As soon as I added a quiz results slide, it never locked up again.
Oh, and a hint about the special text boxes on quiz slides...If I don't want them to be seen, I move them ALMOST completely off the slide. I will leave one or two pixels on the slide so they will be rendered (x=799 for an 800x600 project) but the actual text or whatever is off the screen and nobody can see them...
