500 Kbps Max Achievable Speed

 Hi there
I had great broadband for the first couple of weeks until my wireless router stopped working now replaced and never been the same since.
I have been getting similer speeds for the last 3 weeks I believe help is needed.

can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1)
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

    Hi guys,
last days I noticed drop of my speed. I checked just once it, right after activating.
Had 12mb download. All in my topic about stability from november LINK
For last 2 weeks (or more, maybe?) its about 4mb download.
Can anyone explain whould could happened and what could I do to back my high download speed?
    Have Hub5

  • Problem with 'maximum achievable speed'

    Hello,
I'm hoping you'll be able to offer me so helpful advice.
I'm an Orange home broadband customer, which I believe is provided through yourselves. When I signed up to Orange they stated I could expect speeds of up to 20mb. I live as close to the exchange as you could get really. On my online account it states - "The speed estimate at registration or the speed we have measured on your line is 14.0Mb"
For the first couple of months I was regularly getting speeds of 8-10mb. To be honest I'm perfectly happy with anything over 2mb.
However, recently my speeds have been always on the 1mb mark, causing buffering for iPlayer, youtube etc. Having run the BT Speedtester, I find that my maximum achievable speed seems to have been capped at 1mb. What would be the reason for this? I've read my terms and conditions and have not exceeded any bandwidth levels, I don't even download songs, let alone movies.
How do I go about getting this 'maximum achievable speed' back to how it used to be?
    Thanks!

  • Broadband Speed - Locked at 500 Kbps

I've been having issues with both my broadband and phone line.  My phone and Belkin router are plugged into the main phone point via a Safecom filter.
I have been getting speeds of 3.4 from the Broadband in the past few months after the line was reset after slow speeds.  Last Thursday I unplugged the filter and replaced it with a another filter to try and cure the terrible line quality we have.  Not only did this not work but it also seems to have had an effect on my broadband speed.
Has my broadband been capped for fear of a dodgy line because I have been unplugging it to try and cure the phone line issues?  If so when does this revert back to normal?
    My stats from speedtestbt :-
Download speedachieved during the test was - 503 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 50-500 Kbps.
     Additional Information:
     Your DSL Connection Rate :832 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 500 Kbps
    My stas from ADSL :-
     Type
    Interleave Path
       Status
    SHOWTIME
    Downstream
    Upstream
       Data rate(Kbps)
    832Kb
    448Kb
       Noise Margin
    25
    22
       Output power(dBm)
    119
    172
       Attenuation(dB)
    44
    25
So to sum up.  I still have a terrible line (bad enough to not be able to hear anyone) and my broadband appears stuck at 500 kbps.

if a different line and different number should be ok.
if you had crackle or hissing when you tried quiet line even with cordless then you need to report a phone fault dial 151.  Do NOT report a broadband fault.  get phone line noise free and will really help your broadband.
your line is not capped but your connection speed is low which results in a 500 profile.  If you can get connection speed up then profile will follow in a few days stable connection.
    but noise problem first

  • Whats the maximum achievable speed of data transfer from RT to host PC

    Hi
Anybody can tell me whats the maximum achievable speed of data transfer from RT to host PC, in case of both PXI and CompacRIO.
    Regards
    Visuman

    Hi visuman,
To be honest, the dataspeed is dependent on how you architect the code, and the data communication channels that you use.
There are many factors that influence the maximum transfer rate, including network topology, types of interface used, OS, ambient network traffic etc.
You can control two things, packet size, and amount of sleep time between transmissions.
By altering the delay between consecutive TCP/IP transmissions and by varying the packet sizes sent from the embedded side to the host side, you can obtain a clear picture of network characteristics between the two devices. The end result is a report of the optimal TCP/IP configuration, that is packet size and sleep time.
Check out : Developer Zone : Measuring the Maximum Amount of Data Sent Out of a Real-Time Target Device
Here are some other links that maybe useful for you.

  • What is the time capsule's max wifi speed? e.g. 150mb

What is the time capsule's max wifi speed? e.g. 150mb

    Depends on the model.
Latest Gen 4 are now 450mbps on 5ghz.. of course it will only get that with the right clients. Mostly you will get 300mbit if up close.
But all generations and all apple routers only support single channel on 2.4ghz so max speed is 150mbit..although the actual link speed is probably more like 130.

  • MOVED: A88XM Gaming and A8-7600 - CPU Max DDR Speed 2133Mhz

This topic has been moved to Overclocking, Undervolting.

Max RAM speed supported by memory controller in that CPU is 2133. Trying to squeeze 2400 speed is not worth the effort as you would never see any real world performance increase.

  • Max Qualified Speed vs Current Speed

I run CPU test in Lenovo System Toolbox. My Max Qualified Speed  is 2.53GHZ, but my Current Speed is only 1.60GHz. I found it strange. Is this normal, or there is a setting where I can change it?
I am not running from battery, laptop is pluged in.
    Thanks for help.

Which model thinkpad are you using? also what is the full model number? xxxx-xxx?
Are you using the laptop with battery plugged in or not plugged in.
Also, are you running the laptop in performance mode or battery saver mode?
Download Tpfancontrol does your CPU speed increase to maximum?
Also, you should remember that the laptop doesn't always run the CPU at maximum speed, it will clock up and down depending on the CPU load.

  • A88XM Gaming and A8-7600 - CPU Max DDR Speed 2133Mhz

I am running an A88XM with an A8-7600.  I purchased 4gb x2  2400Mhz DDR3.  When I enable XMP I get the message above, "CPU Max DDR Speed 2133Mhz"  I read that the A8-7600 supported 2400mhz with AMP, so I purchased some AMD 2400mhz ram with AMD and I get the same message.  It doesn't not allow me to manually select 2400 either.  I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas or am I just missing something.
    Thanks!

  • Max cpu speed

My son has a compaq with a msi 6090 v3.0. The online manual says that it will support 2600+ or higher processor. But the MSI website says it will support 2200+ or higher. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but when i clicked on the relevant link entitled 'cpu support' it it had a "no" next to any processor with a higher speed than 2200+. Does anyone have any idea what the max cpu speed is that can be supported by this particular motherboard?
    Thanks for any help.

CPU support for 6390 both 2 version is reported by BIOS ver:
    BIOS Version:6390 ver1:   W6390VMS.150 (ver. 1.50)
                         6390 ver2:   W6390VMS.210 (ver. 2.10)
latest version on BIOS for 6390 ver1 is Version  1.8
latest version on BIOS for 6390 ver2 is Version  2.6(Update Description Support Duron Applebred FSB133 CPU)
if you update with latest BIOS for your mobo you may support higher CPUs

  • Max write speed for CD-RWs with HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GH41N drive?

    hey all,
I've had a look online, but I can't find the answer.
Does anyone know where I can find the max write speed using CD-RWs, with the HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GH41N CD/DVD drive that's in my Mac Pro?
Looking into getting some faster CD-RWs (10-16x), want to make sure my Mac Pro's drive can actually burn them at this speed first.
    cheers
    Sam

apparently, it can burn up to 32x speed for CD and CD-RW discs:

  • Max achievable frequency in HLS code

I am looking for the maximum frequency (smallest clock period) at which I could run the test code that I attach, targetted for Zynq (ZC702). It is the design of a very simple IP block with hls::stream input and output , with an s_axilite control.
It simply computes two multiplications and the expf function, all in single-precision floating point and inside a pipelined for loop with an initiation interval II=1.
    1) If the solution is set with a clock period of 10.0ns, then synthesis and implementation (export) will meet the timing (I am using Vivado HLS 2014.3). But if I lower it to 5.0ns (as an example), then synthesis expects 4.36ns (uncertainty 0.62ns), but implementation will report 6.011ns and fail. (I am aware that synthesis only estimates the timing).
    2) I have also read the post in the HLS forum regarding "registered stages" and the suggestion of trying "reg(...)" available in #include <hls/utils/x_hls_utils.h>. If I apply this idea, then synthesis estimates 5.29ns (uncertainty 0.62ns), but implementation reports 5.681ns.
2a) If I only compute the reg( expf (...) );  inside the for loop, then implementation will just achieve 4.990 ns.
Based on this behaviour, I cannot find a procedure to find out the minimum clock period (max clock frequency) at which the IP block will work. (I cannot keep running implementation (RTL export) for every idea I come up with)
QUESTION 1: Could you please provide guidance on this regard?
QUESTION 2: just because the depth of the pipelined for loop increases should not mean that the minimum clock period increases, am I right? (I would expect the tool to automatically register intermediate results accordingly in order to achieve the targetted clock period). Is there an alternative to reg(...), or any other approach I could follow?
    Thanks in advance,
    Javier

    hello
In your code if you think that the FSM is the issue, then you should remove the for loop!
I'm not joking.. when you remove it, then your IP will have an II of 1 and a latency N; but from your integration perspective, this is almost the same: you still need AXIS IPs to push data to the VHLS IP.
The fact that your VHLS IP read an unknown number of samples and then stops and has to be restarted in SW doesn't help you. It's a bit of overhead actually.
If you remove the loop you should find that it goes faster.
Last point, I don't know what is the F max achievable in the ZC702 's programmable logic but I think that 200 MHz should already be plenty!?
What is the rest of the design going?

  • Max Line Speed

I am very confused at the moment and thought i would come here and find some answers!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             currently I'm on option 3 and receive 7.3mps on the 8mbps service which is fab no complaints, just perfect as i live 627meteres from the exchange. I was told that in November 2009 i will be upgraded to the 20mb service and my line would support 16mbps i was happy and re-contracted with BT in May 2009, November came then i was told to contract again to get the new speed i was happy to do that but i noticed that on BT's website it said my line can only support 9mbps on the 20mb service. I was lost at this point then i called and was told this is the max my line can support, i decided to wait until May 2010 before i chose weather to get into a new contract or change isp. I checked the website about 3 weeks ago and now it says my line max is 10mb. At that point i was just confused at why it was changing all the time. I went onto another ISP's website and did a line test there and it came up as 17mbps.                                                                                                                                                 Who should i believe?                                                                                                                                Some stats which might help:                                                                                                                     Thank you in advance!

I'm not sure it matters what they say it will support, they only go by historical data and generally underestimate to avoid punters complaining at being "promised" say 10 megs and only getting 8 meg.
Doesn't matter what ISP you use, if they use the same technology ie. adsl2+ LLU or BT Ipstream you will get the same connection rate. Only difference you may see is if they advertise "upto" 24 meg or 20 meg.
Your line stats are what shows the true story and you will get the fastest speed your line will support no matter who you go with.
