500 Server Error when Trying to Download Files

Hi,
I keep getting a 500 server error when trying to download any of the Oracle ORION files: http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/orion/index.html Any ideas? Thank you for your help.
PS. Here's the exact error:
"Server Error
The following error occurred:
[code=SERVER_RESPONSE_RESET] The server response could not be read because of an error. Contact your system administrator.
Please contact the administrator."

Are you using a download manager? Thats will do that to you because most of those don't pick it up that you are logged in to a secure site. They just get the link to download from.

OIF -- 500 Server Error when trying to import SAML 2.0 metadata

Hi,
We have setup OIF version 10.1.4.0.1 on Windows 2003 server with integration to OAM running on the same machine. We need to configure this server as a SAML 2.0 IdP.
When we try to import a SAML 2.0 SP metadata by navigating as Circle of Trust -> Add Trusted Provider, the browser shows a 500 Server error with the following URL -
http://fedserver208.orclidp.com:7777/fed/admin/servlet/loadmetadata
Can someone please point us to the location of log file(s) where we can check for errors? Thanks much for your response.

Thanks for the follow-up on this thread. It turned out that the metadata from the SP wasn't conformant to the spec, so we had to hand-craft the metadata file to allow OIF to import it.

Server error when trying to download?

I have reported this to Nokia care, but have yet to receive a response. I tried to download Guitar Hero 5 - went to choose payment method - chose phone bill - then received a server error. So I tried again - chose phone bill as my payment method - again a server error. On both occasions the download screen never loaded, so thinking I hadn't actually bought anything, I tried again choosing debit card as my payment method. The game proceeded to download. Great, or so I thought. I have checked my phone bill, & I have been charged for the two failed attempts, so all in all I have been charged £12 on my bill PLUS £6 from my debit card!!! I am NOT willing to pay £18 for a mobile game (which is rubbish may I add), & am even more angry that I still haven't had any response to my query (which I sent on 09/02/10), apart fromthe automated one that promised a reply within 48hrs. I am really wary of using this store again now as a result, I thought Nokia were a brand to be trusted!
Anyone had a similar experience & managed to get a refund?

Surprise, surprise!! I still haven't had anyone call or e-mail me back. I am thoroughly disgusted by the lack of customer care Nokia is (or rather not) providing. I am going to have to tke this further. I know it is ony £12, but it is the principle now.

Please let me know if you have any ideas because "The [Download] operation is halting due to the following failure: null" means nothing to me.
Please note changing the maintenace mode makes no difference.

Please enable Verbose Logging on the propagation servlet

It seems you are using wrong client ID. Make sure your logon pad has right details. You should verify this with your basis team.
If the problem persists then try re-installing. But before you do that you can execute sapbexc.xla which is in the c:\program files\sap\bw. Type c:\ in cell c3 and click "start button". Any red flag means you have wrong version dll/ocx on your local drive, in that case you should reinstall with right patches.

It is as if the server has decided that the client has timed out during the file upload. The default setting is 30 seconds for AcceptTimeout in the magnus.conf file. This should be ample to get the file across, even increasing this to 2 minutes just produces the same error after 2 minutes. Any help appreciated. Apologies if this is not the correct forum for this, I couldn't see one for iPlanet and Web, many thanks, Kieran.

You didnt mention which version of IWS. follow these steps.
(1)Goto Web Server Administration Server, select the server you want to manage.
(2)Select Preference >> Perfomance Tuning.
(3)set HTTP Persistent Connection Timeout to your choice (eg 180 sec for three minutes)
(4) Apply changes and restart the server.
*Setting the timeout to a lower value, however, may prevent the transfer of large files as timeout does not refer to the time that the connection has been idle. For example, if you are using a 2400 baud modem, and the request timeout is set to 180 seconds, then the maximum file size that can be transferred before the connection is closed is 432000 bits (2400 multiplied by 180)

I am getting a 500 internal server error when trying to create users. What is the cause? We tried reinstalling the latest java jdk release and that didn't help.

Check whether your DBControl or ASControl service is still running or crashed. EM is not able to connect to the Management Server.
For instance in Windows, you may see that the Servise is not started. Then check for error logs in $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/logs for any related error messages in the log files

Not there aren't any special settings for this. You just use the Open In feature to save the document into Pages. You could have a font in the document that Pages doesn't like, maybe something that you copied and pasted from somewhere into the document that went corrupt. But there is nothing special about the way that you save a Word document into Pages. You save it like you save any document or file into a compatible app.

If anyone is reading this still looking for what caused the issue and how to fix it here is what I discovered.
The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem.

These ones are tricky. But the following instructions are worth a try.
First do a complete uninstall of iTunes and related components (but don't reinstall just yet), as per the following document:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
a. Launch regedit (Start >> Search Programs and Files >> type Regedit and open the regedit that comes up.)
b. Access the following Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData \S-1-5-18\Components
c. Perform the following actions
i. Right Click on Components Folder
ii. Select Permissions
iii. Select Full Control and Read Permissions options
iv. Select Advanced Button
v. Select Owner Tab
vi. Select to Change Owner to the Administrators
vii. Check the option “Replace owner on subcontainers and objects”
viii. Select OK when prompted that it may not change all.
ix. Select Apply
x. Select Apply again
xi. Exit the Registry Editor
Now try reinstalling iTunes again. Does it go in properly this time?

8008 Error when trying to download movies from iTunes

I've searched Google and the discussion boards but no one seems to have a fix for the 8008 error when trying to download movies in iTunes. I have the latest version of iTunes, my Mac Mini is up to date with all of it's patches, I've tried deleting the movie in the download folder and redownload the movie but I still get nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions for a fix?

These alerts occur due to timeouts or conflicts trying to write a file during download.
If you encounter this issue while while downloading something from the iTunes Store:
Delete your iTunes Downloads folder, located in:
Mac OS X:  ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads Note: "iTunes Media" may appear as "iTunes Music. Also, the tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.
After locating your iTunes Downloads folder:
Quit iTunes.
Delete the Downloads folder on your computer.
Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
Enter your account name and password.

FM GUI_UPLOAD gives PC036 "Error when opening the download file".

Dear all
I'm having a problem with a particular PC.
A program which calls FM GUI_UPLOAD gives the error PC036 "Error when opening the download file".
The file we are trying to upload is a text file, with tab delimiter.
If the same user executes the same program from another PCs, it works fine.
If another user executes the program in the "problematic" PC, it gives the error.
So, the problem is PC-related.
I checked SAP GUI Codepage, and was the same as other PCs.
I cheched regional configuration, and was also the same as other PCs.
The operating system is Windows XP, and the SAP GUI version is 7.10, File version 7100.2.7.3077, Build 967944 , Patch level 7.
SAP version is ECC6.
I searched across forums, SAP note, and the web, but I couldn't find anything.
I would be grateful if someone could give me ideas.

Hello. The user accounts are have same privilegies (like both are "Power users")? Also the file system are the same in both PC NTFS or FAT32 (today i'm find FAT32 in enterprise ) If NTFS may be some Domain politics are not allow to save file correctly, or space are not enough....Try check this first...Regards.

Error when trying to download an Ebook E_ADAPT_INTERNAL

First off I have googled and searched the forums and my exact error message is no where to be found (google turns up nothing, which is a first for me O_o).
That said I am getting this error when trying to download 4 Ebooks (part of a series):
license server communication problem: E_ADAPT_INTERNAL
the first Ebook of this series downloads just fine, but the rest all throw out that error.
contacted Adobe support and Direct2drive's support but am still waiting for replies.
anyone know anything about this error and what causes it?

This is most likely an error on IGN's (Direct2Drive) servers. Your best bet to resolve the problem will be to work with their Tech Support.
