Of all my years of using Adobe After Effects, I have never encountered this problem before. First of all, this is what it looks like when I'm normally editing in my composition.

Adobe After Effects CS6 Ram Preview Crash Problem
Hey, Recently my AE cs6 has been crashing when I started to RAM preview and the message that shows up is. "After Effects error: Crash In Progress. last logged message was: <1948><ai.blit.pipe><2> HardwareBlitpipe Disenaged."

In first row i want to provide you my pc specs:

Have to mention that the original fps of the file was 23
I made it work on ther same footage but the error didnt appear on when the camera was moving straight( my deduction )

AlexYou're not going to get better results by recording it slower. You are not understanding the purpose 3D tracking. 3D tracking is used to put a CGI object in a scene so that the CGI object sticks to the ground. I'm imagining that you want to put something like a character in this scene. If you want to have the character move through the entire scene then 3D tracking won't keep up in a single track. You may, however, be able to track the scene for one or two seconds. Let's say you have a shot that is moving down a street and around a corner. There is a tree on the right side of street. You can usually track successfully from where the tree enters the scene to where the tree leaves the scene. That's about it. Then you have to cut the shot and start again.
You also need detail for tracking to work. Game backgrounds have tied textures and repeating lines. These confuse the heck out of tracking software. What do you see in this frame from your movie that has enough detail to track? There' not much that can be used for 3D info.
Your only chance is to cut the shot up into short sections, track those, then put the scene back together later. It's not going to be a one click solution. -

Nobody can tell, but you shouldn't keep your hopes up. These are trimmed down "mobile" cards/ chips and they may never support Raytrace 3D. for the rest refer to the system specs as stated on the product page. what's not listed there, is not supported.

We bought an Nvidia Quadro 4000 for Mac for use RayTrace on After Effects CS6 (11.0.2) with our Mac Pro 5.1 on OS 10.6.8.
And the Mac lost the Cuda driver when we restart it.
We use the Nvidia driver 256.02.25f01 for Mac Os 10.6.8 and we made test on different Cuda driver (4.1.25, 4.2.10, 5.0.37 and 5.0.47).
When we install Cuda driver and start directly After Effects 11.0.2 it’s works (after effects see the GPU processor).
But when we restart the Mac and try to launch After Effects, AE doesn’t see GPU processor and ask to install Cuda driver 4.0 or later.
Do you know this problem ?

I'm having the exact same problem on 10.6.8 with a brand new Quadro 4000. My CUDA preferences are up to date, but After Effects CS6 is not seeing the card.
GPUSniffer gives me some really weird results, which I've included. Of particular note there is a repeated "just leaking" message, an "invalid drawable" and "Did not find any devices that support GPU computation."
Anyone have a fix for this? We just dropped a lot of money on this card so I could squeeze some more life out of this workstation (Mac Pro 4,1 dual quad 2.66 with 12GB RAM).

Will After Effects CS6 support the new EVGA GeForce GTX 680 for Mac?
With this new graphics card out will Adobe/Mac OS X add support for it in AE CS6 for excellerated graphics and ray traced 3D? Also, will Adobe bring back live 3D from Photoshop to AE?
Sorry, should have been more specific. I was referring to this desktop card the Gforce GTX 680 (mac edition) http://www.evga.com/articles/00730/. I just saw a recent article about its release but not sure how long it has been out and not sure what evga is. I'm in the learning phase of all the ins and outs of graphics card compatibility and the manufactures intent. I'm curious about inserting it into my Mac Pro 2010 and getting improved performance along with accelerating my processing in After Effects CS6 since it has an ATI card with no CUDA architecture. Want to beef my RAM too. So I'm wondering if this card is A. Compatible with my machine/OS and B. If Adobe will add it to its list of supported CUDA cards. Again, not sure if this is an Adobe thing or an OS thing, I heard on some tutorial video that Mac OS is part of the issue. I am aware of the current state of limbo Mac Pro users are in with Apple's hiatus from a major update to this line. But even with a major new release my employer won't be in the market for that kind of investment which sucks because I'd like to move to thunderbolt for my video storage. Personally, I'm investing in a MBP with the 650M card which I've done tests with and it beats my Mac Pro with having CUDA. As for 3D layers from Photoshop to AE it is just kind of makes sense as well as being a price point issue. If you can draw and create 3D objects in PS why not be able to animate them in AE? Just like being able to animate AI and PS layers, it should be one big happy Adobe family, no? Why pay for Cinema 4D if I don't need it for everyday advanced 3D work? I do however love the Element plug-in from Video Co-pilot and it works great so that is my solution for now, then 4D if I get into more advanced custom 3D. But still you should be able to make 3D objects in PS and bring them in to AE, it just makes sense.

Oscar.That is not a configuration that After Effects CS6 will use for the GPU acceleration of the ray-traced 3D renderer.

Adobe After Effects CS6 cannot be opened because of a problem

I tried uninstalling AE CS6 and then reinstalling AE CS6 - same issue happened.
AE was working fine until I tried to open it today. It's probably been a couple weeks since I last used it.

I am trying to follow your advice and install AE CS6 through the Creative Cloud application, but it seems that I can only install AE CC through the Creative Cloud application.
The text on this page ( http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-cc-and-cs6-apps.html ) seems to indicate that I can choose a version to download, but when I navigate to the linked download page ( https://creative.adobe.com/products/aftereffects ), I am not given the option to choose which version to download. I can only download AE CC through Creative Cloud.

After Effects CS6 Crashing on Win 7 x64 HP z620 Workstation
After Effects CS6 crashes when loading UI interface, I have use CS tool to remove software, completed a clean install and still the same issue. I'm using a HP z620 with 24 cores 12Gig RAM Nvidia Quadro 4000 video card. These spec are well above the requirements for the software. I have also cleared the perfs folder as well. BTW when it also happens when I use any of the CS6 Master Collection software. Could someone please help with this
I know this doesnt help you figure out whats wrong, but its to let you know that a similar system (Z820, 64GB ram, Nvidia GTX 570) has no problem loading After Effects CS6.
I would suggest a complete uninstall using the Adobe Cleaner software and a reinstal of the Creative Suite.

No, OpenGL Swap Buffer support (Level 1) support for the HP4000 is for Windows only. Level 2 and 3 support is not available either. You'd need a more powerful NVIDIA card for Level 1, 2, and 3 feature support.

After Effects CS6 Extract Error With Screenshot
I recently downloaded the trial version of adobe after effects cs6 but when I try to extract the archive by running the .exe application it ends ups with an error that "A problem occurred while extracting some files. Check available disk space on your computer and the privileges on the destination folder.

After Effects CS6 Crashing on Start up - Invalid Type Conversion

I just installed Adobe After Effects CS6 - along with photoshop, indesign and illustrator, all of which are working fine.
When I start After Effects up it goes until it gets to Initializing User Interface. There it stops and I get the message - After Effects warning: Invalid type conversion.
What does this mean? How can I fix it?
I am running Windows 7, if you need any more system info please let me know. Im a bit of a newbieI have Windows 7 64, quad core, 8gb DDR3 ram, nvidia gtx460se card. I found a way to work around it: I had my computer set to 16 bit; when I set it back to 32 bit it worked fine. If AE is up and I set the computer back to 16 bit, sometimes a message pops up that says 'After Effects warning: A problem occurred when processing Open GL commands'. I can get it to happen whenever I switch from the footage window to the composition window.

After Effects CS6 running painfully slow
I am working on a composition in Adobe After Effects CS6, and it's running painfully slow. I've tried to mess with some of the settings in the preferences, and lowering the quality of the preview. The composition I'm working with does have 1 camera, and about 45 small 3D comps built into it. No lights. And all of the footage and data is on the Mac OSX hard drive. Which has tons of space available as you can see. I've played around with the settings in After Effects. But nothing seems to significantly speed things up. Any ideas??Hey PJ,
I've been using CS6 since it was released, and while it's got a bunch of great new features, it's basically made Multi Processing unusable unless we're talking about the simplest of comps. I'm working on my second short using AE as the total animation package, and render times for complicated 3D comps (NOT using ray tracing) have tripled. MP used to take forever to spool up, but was fast once it got rolling. Now, disabling MP gives me 3 or 4 times faster rendering, which is still MUCH slower than MP is CS5.5. SOmething has deflineitly changed for the worse, as i'm using the same machine with the same settings and virtually the same comps.
I acutally just yesterday had two animators quit on my because they couldn't meet their deadlines.
I think After Effects is the hydra of programs. They kill one feature and two more fill its place. Unfortuanly we traded functional Multi-processing for falloff lighting and etc... The puppet tool was it 3 version of after effects before it was stable. I'm hoping we don't have to wait til CS7 for MP to sort itself out.
I really don't understand the "deal with it" aspect of the posters here. Surely a functional program that delivers on it's promises is the goal of this forum. We're not asking it to make us a sandwich.
