5130 battery drains fast!!HELP...

my new 5130 xpress music's battery darins fast after 2-3hrs of music playback.Other thing I have noticed is when my battery has been reduced it drains fast even though I am just texting..!
kindly help me..
i followed as insturcted that drain it first before charging it for the first time...

hi krizanand,
I'm curious about whether you have a Nokia 5130 Xpress Music Phone? But I guess you're not...
I don't want to make it personal but we are wronged here and that's why it may seem offensive to you.
But I'm not making that problem up. You can search for it. If you know Turkish, there is a site that people talk about 5130 and also that problem: http://forum.donanimhaber.com/m_27593466/mpage_10/key_/tm.htm
First (before I have bought that phone) I thought just like you. I thought that very low time spans must be a result of heavy use of the phone.. But when I bought the phone I have realized it, it is not.
I give you today's statistics and you can judge from that numbers; TODAY;
Music Play: for most half an hour (appr. 20 min.)
Calls: 13 minutes in total
GPRS: NEVER
It's not a faulty battery, most of the users have that problem as far as I read...
And I bought it brand new in a closed box, not a second hand...
And now battery meter shows appr. 1/3
At these moments, the phone has been on for 22 hours appr.
It means that the battery will die out in the middle of the day, tomorrow.
Am I right?
I think it is a huge flaw for a NOKIA phone...
And I will continue to defend that claim...

Jus bought my phone and my phone battery become hot even I only use it for 5 min and the battery draining fast is it my phone battery have a problem?

    Hi Mqchew,
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your new iPhone. If you have a new iPhone 6 that you are concerned may be having heat or battery issues, you may first want to try restoring it to factory condition (if you have loaded any apps or data onto it) and testing it in that default state to see if the issue persists:
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
If the issue persists after the factory restore, you may want to take it in to be evaluated and/or serviced. You may find the following page helpful:

  • IPhone 5s battery drain fast with iOS 8.1.2

I have iPhone 5s from 1 year. After updating to 8.1.2 battery draining fast. I needs charge the battery 3-4 times a day. I did the restore as new, but no change. Stopping the apps does not help. Please for advice.

I have also experienced this, but I think I have started to narrow things down. First of all, I am on an iPhone 5S 32gb, and I did NOT have any of these battery issues under 8.1.1, but since upgrading, the battery drains more quickly for sure.
What I have noticed, however, is that there are some strange correlations going on with what appears to be ridiculously severe battery drain - my phone will show 50% battery, and minutes later (of normal use, taking photos, screen at about 50% brightness, no overt internet or GPS activity) it will suddenly shut down completely. This seems to happen most WHEN IT IS COLD and I am using it outside.
When I try to turn it back on right after, I get the "plug me in" screen, as one would expect with a dead phone. However, if I wait a few minutes and let the phone warm up a bit, I hold down the power switch and on it comes, and when it comes on, the battery indicator will show 50% battery life again. I think of this as my FALSE BATTERY DRAIN problem, possibly unrelated to the actual battery life. I have only noticed this happening while running the Camera or Safari apps. Looking at my usage doesn't seem to turn up any surprises.
So Apple... what the heck is going on here? Is this an OS problem, is it an issue with your apps, with app conflicts... what is going on?
This is unacceptable. You know after being an Apple user for 35 years now I am not going to switch to Android lightly, but this is pushing me that way, and it is certainly going to keep me from updating to a newer, shinier phone until you show some commitment to supporting your users, who seem to be experiencing battery issues rather frequently these days.
Please at least show some INTEREST in being involved in this solution... I'm not seeing any indications of effort to fix this.
    Thank you.

Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro lollipop battery drain fast as hell

You can see what app drains your batter in "Settings -> Power Manager -> Power consumption details". You can analyze that for a bit and adjust your phone accordingly. Factory reset would delete all third party apps that could drain your batter or readjust the phone settings, but you don't need to do that as long as you can find out what apps are draining your battery.

  • Iphone 5s battery drains faster on ios 8.1.2

    Hi,
Facing problem of battery drains faster after 8.1.2 update. Phone low signals, App store low signals

PPhone low signal? Are you saying your phone is having issue getting a strong cellular data signal? If so that is why your phone is draining battery at a faster rate.

  • Re: Battery Drains Faster in iOS 5 ?

    Hello,
I have marked that Battery drain faster if using apps in iOS 5 then the previous version, but the idle time is better in iOS 5.
In my case after fully charged, my phone show 100%  if its in idle mode for 7 hours, but as soon as i start some apps the battery drains faster, like if i use the apps for 15 min the battery remains at 80%.
    Have anybody experience this ?

@dimoff: I didn't experience the same thing with other mobiles, even of Nokia. I have Lumia 525, Moto G(Dual Sim). My wifi is always on and i use the phone without any problem for 1.5 days.
But where as Lumia 630, without any phone calls, only idel phone it could stand only for 1 day.
On the contrary what i have experienced is when i use 3G, battery is consulmed more tha wifi.

  • My photo want sync and my you tube doesn't work after update and my battery drains fast.

this new update doesn't work like i should work my photo doesn't upload my you tube doesn't work & my battery drain faster than ever now

Synching new photos from iPhone to the new Photos app on the iMac is incredibly slow. Placeholders for the photos do appear but the content stays white (initially) then black. As an example, I started the Photos app some 15 minutes ago and am still waiting for the synch of merely 11 photos to complete.
Since I agreed to pay 4.99 euro per month to extend online storage to 200 GB, I would expect flawless behavior. I am disappointed.

  • MacBook Air Mid-2013 Battery Draining FAST (about 5-6 hours at best)

I have been having problems with my Mac's battery draining very fast even on light usage. Simply using Safari will drain my battery in 5 to 6 hours, when my laptop would last the stated 12+ hours before when browsing the internet. I followed these steps yesterday...
    Reset com.apple.finder.plist, com.apple.sidebarlists.plist and com.apple.desktop.plist
    - Open a new finder window
    - Choose Go > Go to folder. Your destination is ~/Library/Preferences
    - Locate com.apple.finder.plist and rename it to com.apple.finder_backup.plist
    - Locate com.apple.sidebarlists.plist and rename it tocom.apple.sidebarlists_backup.plist
    - Do the same for com.apple.desktop.plist. Note: This file was missing in my folder. If so: nevermind.
    - Open Terminal and type: killall Dock
    Reset your SMC:
    - shut down your system
    - plug in the magsafe
    - hold down shift+ctrl+alt+power for a second, then release. Your magsafe should blink
    - do this three times
    Reset PRAM:
    - turn on your mbp and hold down alt+cmd+p+r immediately
    - hold down the keys until you hear the startup sound the second time
    - release the keys and let the MBP boot.
Give your system some time to adjust to the changes: after a while it should show you a much increased battery time.
...but to no avail, it didn't have any effect on my machine. I'm not sure what to do. :'( Activity monitor shows Safari as having a "10.7 average energy impact" (I don't know what that means in all honesty) and is the highest consumer on the list, with Dropbox being number two on the list saying the average is 1.9 at the moment. I quit background applications so I know that's not an issue — I don't know where to go from here. Also, my battery max/health is 6909 at 97% health, so I do know it's getting a near-full charge. I miss having 12+ hours of battery as that's what I bought this for. Should I go to the Genius Bar and see what they can do?

  • Iphone 5 battery draining fast

My 22 month old iPhone 5 has suddenly started draining its battery really fast. It loses 70% in 3-4 hours. Nothing has changed in my usage and I haven't upgraded to IOS 7 or 8.  My serial number doesn't seem to qualify for the replacement scheme for certain phones bought in 2012/2013. Is there anything I can do?

You're iPhone probably is working too hard.  If the iPhone is in hot conditions, the iPhone actually works to try to cool itself down.
-Make sure it's in a cool atmosphere.
Also, all the apps you've ever used, the phone is still running.  To clear this off in iOS.6.1, you would double tap the home button and swipe up on the apps you don't want you're iPhone running.
Delete usless apps, songs, photos, or anything that's usless!
Do all this and I'm sure it'll help you're battery life! Hope this helps!

  • Battery drain faster after udating to iOS 8.1.2 ( iPhone 5s A1530 16GB )

I have been wondering faster battery drain after updating to ios 8, I upgraded to iOS 8.1.2 it has been worst with this drain faster by 40% in draining, What shall i do??? I have contacted apple support and customer care i didn't get a solution. Please help??

    Hi Jaberboss
I did start a similar thread on this issue myself, but seeing what I've read here I hope you're ok with me adding it here to
This one is a true case of a phone with zero potentail (electrically)
OK, I've done the rounds on this one, whereby I'm just adding to the list of complaints so that (hopefully) the powers that be, or not, in my phones case, might listen.
Since updating my just over 12 month old 5s to 8.1.2, it has turned into a bag of spanners in respect of its battery life. Its literally gone from 24 or so hours between charges to less than 8 !!
I have tried shutting all the apps down and even had it sitting in full airplane mode, where i've left it alone with the screen off, yet its dropping around 1% every 3 to 4 minutes, blinding!! Checked battery usage in settings after 30 minutes, guess what standby 29 minutes usage 1 minute.
Also tried the full restore, but to no avail, still a bag of spanners!
(slight update here)  Even took the SIM out with it in airplane mode and deleted all apps and a full reboot - same thing!
Does anyone remember the good old days of a fixed land line, where the phone had to be plugged into the wall before you could actually use it? lol
Nothing like a bit of retro ay, but some how I cant see this one catching on Mr Apple. Thanks

  • Battery drain faster? wifi+verizon 3g

    Hi,
I have 32GB wifi+verizon 3g model of ipad 2. First few weeks I turned 3g off and had wifi always on. Usually I could get battery to drop 1 percent by using it for 6 - 9 minutes.
Recently, I don't know why, it starts to drain faster (4 minutes, 1 percent). I checked the forum, the internet. Some people reported the similar problem. So I tried:
    1. turned everything off: push notification, location service, even wifi....
    2. recalibrate
    3. kill almost all apps in memory for multitasking
    4. turn off PING
    5. restore/reset
    6. update to the latest software
Nothing above helps.... Of course if I use my ipad 2 in a room with a dim light then it could last longer, but in a normal lighting room, it just drains faster than before!
Why?? Please let me know anything else I could try. Or should I just go to apple store and get a replacement?

If a battery is rated for 10 hours (600 minutes), then theoretically, it will lose one percent every 6 minutes.
If you are losing an average of one percent every 4 minutes and you turned off everything in the list you posted, you may have a problem. If you can, take it to an apple store for testing. You can make an appointment on line at: www.apple.com/retail

  • IPad 2 battery draining faster with iOS 7

Since upgrading to iOS 7, my iPad 2's batter has been draining much faster than before the upgrade.
One thing that might be contributing to this is how 7 revamped how it displays "open" applications.  Prior to 7 if you hit the Home button twice it would diisplay a row of icons at the bottom showing which apps were "active" or "open."  You could press an hold any icon and all icons would go int wiggle mode, and you could select certain processes and quit them.  This I did regualrly.
Now with iOS 7, tapping the Home button twice shows large images of the last screen in the apps shown at the bottom, showing just two or three, making it a slow process to side-scroll to find an app.  Gone is the means of quitting open apps as well.  My list of open apps is pretty long and I'm sure that with so many open processes, the batter charge takes a big hit.
I've looked in all the system settings and don't see any way to toggle or set the system such that I can quit running apps.
    So, here's my two-part question:
    1.  What steps can I take to slow the battery drain?
    2.  How can I close open apps?
Bonus:  How to revert the ugly "open apps" display back to something that resembles previous versions, particularly how to get rid of the screenshots that take up so much room?
    Many thanks!
    -Tod

PS:  There ought to be a forum for iOS issues rather than forcing users to post in hardware-specific forums.

If the drain seems extreme there may be something else going on.
First try a reset: Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and don’t let go until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears (no data will be lost)
If that does not help, backup & Restore the iOS Software
