5200, No Sound On Tv Recordings!

When i set up a schedule of around 30 mins, I get NO SOUND when i playback the recording. This is so annoying because this is what I bought the card for.
I installed the latest drives from nvidia.
I am running a 3GHz P4, with 512k ddr ram on an ABIT IC7-G motherboard.

Hello @postman405 ,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you have no sound on your TV connected via HDMI.
Make sure the system is set to use HDMI audio:
Right click on the speaker icon and select Playback Devices.
Click on the HDMI audio device and select Set Default at the bottom.
If that doesn't work it would help to know which operating system you are using. To see which version of Windows you are using click here: Which Windows operating system am I running?
I would also suggest updating the audio and GPU drivers. You can download these here: HP Pavilion g7-2240us Notebook PC Drivers. Make sure you select the operating system you are currently using before installing the drivers.
Let me know if that helps!
Please click the "Kudos, Thumbs Up" at the bottom of this post if you want to say "Thanks" for helping!

  • Issue with recorded sound- sounds like the recordings were made underwater.

    Hi, all.
I'm running Adobe Audition CS5.5 on a Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-1UZ with Windows 7 Home Premium installed. My machine meets all of the system requirements, as far as I can tell, and yet recordings made in Adobe Audition sound like they were made underwater.
    For reference:
    http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?q=hi&songID=11138745
I'm not using an interface at present, but would be willing if there were a cheap model available.
    Thanks for any help,
    Casey

I have a slightly older Toshiba Satellite notebook that I use for recording and mixing and I can tell you that the built in audio interface (i.e. the mni jack mic input) is worse than bad.  I can get away with it for Skype phone calls but that's about it--and even for Skype I often plug in my interface.
The other thing going on with the sample you posted is that the levels are very low so the need to crank things up to hear anything just accentuates the noise.
Basically, Audition just takes the signal provided by your mic and interface and doesn't affect the sound in any way until you deliberately add processing.  You really do need to invest in an interface--pretty well any two track USB devices will be a vast improvement on the Toshiba mic input.

  • Inspire 5.1 5200 developed sounds issues

Hello all, I've got a 2 month old set of Inspire 5. 5200s, and they started having real sounds issues. I get clear sound out of the front center, muffled sound out of the front left, no sound out of the other satilites, and overwhelming bass from the sub when I play media. I get clear sound out of my headphones in any jack I put them in, and similar performance from the speakers regardless of which jack I put them in. I'm not sure what's going on, and I really hope they're not broken. I'm running an Audigy 2 Plat on Xp sp. I've tried all the troubleshooting ideas from the web site and messed with my AudioHQ and control panel sound settings. Any ideas?

Okay, have done. I've connected my mp3 player to each of the speaker cords, and reci'ved no better sound. I get muffled bass out of the front and rear, and okay sound out of the center/sub cord. Alternati'vely, I've connected my headphones to all the jacks in the back, as well as the headphone jack on the volume controler and recieved good sound. This was all done on the 5.1 setting on both the control panel and Creative speaker settings.

  • NO SOUND ON VIDEO RECORDINGS ON BB TOUR

When I record videos with my Tour there is no sound on playback, just really low static. The voice notes records/plays back fine, and plays music and sound from web video. Only recorded videos don't have sound. Verizon suggested a master reset, but rather not do that except as last resort.
    Any solutions or educated guesses?

I have the same issue. I noticed that recordings from May and just today all have static and no sound. Stuff from farther back (12/2009) work just fine.
I also feel it has to do with OS 5.0 (as the break is around the time I upgraded and one of the claims of 5.0 was that it had better video recording).
I called Verizon and they wanted me to do a hard reset which means I would have to install all of my apps again and I just won't do that. There must be a more nuanced and less destructive solution

  • Removing the shaking sound in live recordings

Im trying to remove the shaking sound produced during live recordings. I recorded a show on my iPhone via voice memos, and imported the file to garage band. Unfortunatly, im pretty new to it and im not quite sure how to clear up the audio. Im hoping to turn this into an album i can listen to later, and can share with friends.

Add music. Seriously. There's virtually nothing you can do. Maybe boosting an EQ range, but that's about it.

  • Sound Problem in Recordings - I Could Really Use Some Help Please!

I have installed my TV @nywhere Master TV Tuner card and have full functionality except I lose my sound whenever I make a recording. If I record to an mpeg file (the default for the tuner), I can only hear the audio if I play it in MSIPVS. If I try to play it in media player or any other third party player, I get no error message but I also don't get any sound.
I have tried two different sound cards and different settings but with no luck. Everything else works. Can anybody give me some advice? Am I missing something simple here? Thanks again for any help.

    Hi there
Just thought I'd post my solution to my own problem. As it turns out it was a codec problem but the package that was suggested for download worked for playing the clips while at the same time making the authoring software useless due to windows errors that pop up. The final solution was to download the mpeg2 codec alone from the net and install it. Everything worked fine after that. Hope this helps someone sometime.

  • Xperia Z2: Bad sound on video recordings

    Hello
I am VERY dissapointet on Xperia Z2 when it comes to recording video on a live concert.
The video is fine but the sound gets distorted from the bass.
When the music is without bass its fairly fine but as soon as the bass sound comes in the recording is getting useless because of the distortion.
Other phones like iPhone, Samsung and HTC has NO PROBLEM with their sound on live concerts recording so WHY is SONY having this problem ?
The phone is completely useless as a recorder at concerts.  I can only take pictures. I did not expect this from a phone that has full scores on reviews and tests and is among the most expensive ones on the marked.
Anyone know why this is so or if this will be fixed in anyway ?
Or I just have to ditch this phone and by iPhone 6 when it's released.

I purchased the stm10 exactly because of this reason, any bass whatsover and the video is rendered totally useless. The bad news is the stm10 makes absolutely no difference so dont waste your money.
This coupled with the camera overheating issues and non existent Sony customer support makes this phone in my opinion totally **bleep**e, my advise is sell it now like i had to and cut your losses while it still has some resale value.

  • Poor Sound Quality with iTunes 8

I just installed iTunes 8, and all of the songs in my Library play with poor sound quality regardless of the view I have open. The sound is really muffled, but the voices and higher frequencies sound tinny and shaky. I tried playing with the Equalizer and Sound Enhancer settings, but was not able to fix the problem.
What can I do to get the iTunes 7 sound back?

I, too, am experiencing a significant decline in the sound quality of recordings in my collection. The recordings sound very muffled on the low, bass end of the sound spectrum, and the treble is significantly diminished. This decline in sound quality occurred immediately after I upgraded to iTunes 8. The sound quality in iTunes 7 was fine, and overall better.
It appears that my iTunes 8 attempts to improve the playback sound quality of songs with 128 kbps bit rates, as these songs in my collection do seem to actually sound better. However, most of my collection are recordings imported at the higher sound quality standard of 320 kbps from CDs that I purchased, and these recordings all sound poor since I've installed iTunes 8.

  • Can't hear any of the recordings in any of the tracks

I have tried everything. I have logged out of garageband, but clearly that's not the problem. I can hear the murmurs, a very small and low sound from the recordings of the voices and I have all the volume up, so i don't know what the problem is. HELP. None of the tracks work. NONE. I can't change the effects of the track or anything!!

I can't change the effects of the track or anything!!
Do the tracks display as locked? The little green padlock in the track head? Then try to unlock them by clicking the padlock.
    "I've tried everything"
That makes it hard for us to suggest anything - assuming you have checked the obvious places: The "Volume" automation curves of the tracks and the Master Track, the effects added to the Master Track in the "Edit" tab of the "Info" pane, all volume sliders.
If the tracks are not locked, but still cannot be edited, I'd try the "oddball probs" fix: remove the preferences and repair permissions. See the FAQ:

The user library is hidden in Mt. Lion Mac OS X 10.8.3.  To reveal it, use the Finder's "Go" menu.
Click somewhere on your empty Desktop to bring the Finder forward, then you'll see "Go" in the Finder's main menu bar.
Then hold down the options key ⌥ until "library" appears in the drop down menu. Click Library to open.  Remove the file

  • Audigy ZS versus PCI

About a month ago I bought this Audigy ZS card, hoping to improve the sound quality of my recordings (I am a musician).
However, the quality only got poorer after I installed this card. Far worse than the Q that I got from my old SB PCI 28 card, which is approx. 4. years old now.
The sound recorded is extremely dull, as if I had been playing or singing with a piece of cloth wrapped around the mic!
For the record: I use a SuperLux Condensor microphone, plugged with XLR cables and phantom power to a Behringer mixing console, plugged with gold plated tulip cables to the line-in of my pc.
I record the sound input with a multi-track software program called Cakewalk GuitarTracks, a tool specially designed for recording and processing the guitar.
I have been fiddling around with all kinds of settings, such as the EAX console (turning all the settings on and off, and on again) as well as the built-in chorus and reverb.
Still, the sound quality of recordings made through this card are by no means acceptable as compared to the relati'vely high quality I got through my old card.
Does this sound familiar to anyone, or does anyone have, or think to have some valuable information?
    greetings

Have you also download the audio console software? You will need that you configure the card.

  • Temp folder on powerpc? (OS 10.5.6)

    Hi,
Where is/are the temp folder(s) on Mac OS 10.5.6 powerpc? I'm trying to find where Sound Studio puts recordings before the file is actually saved by the user.
    Thank you!!

You might try finding out that information here: http://www.freeverse.com/support/

  • Music/Photos only look in certain folders?

I copy all my music to a folder called 'Music' and my photos go to whatever the phone's default folder is. However, when I go into the music player, it lists all the audio files on my phone including sound effects, voice recordings and so on. The photo gallery does a similar thing, showing all images on my phone including album art and contact photos. I just want it to show the photos i've taken!
Is there a way to set these library applications to only look in certain folders?

Symbian devices are designed to pick up compatible file types wherever they are stored on the device, because there are always at least two and increasingly with high-end devices like the Nseries three different accessible memories (phone memory, mass memory and memory card).
There are alternative ways to organise data, for example the photo gallery will normally have the feature to create multiple galleries, and the music player will use ID3 tag data to organise music, which should leave all ringtones under something like 'unknown artist' or 'unknown album', and also the feature to create multiple playlists.

  • Itunes vs. cd player

My cd player broke down (Denon 380, only two years, pathetic reliability) and I am contemplating the next move. I am thinking of making the imac my cd player, but I am worried about sound quality. I already have a Lacie hard drive that could be used. What is the sound quality of recordings that have been transferred from cd to Itunes library? I can hear a difference between itunes purchases and cd's produced by the record labels on my stereo. Also is the sound compressed at every point of transfer, i.e., from computer to airport, to stereo? I am not a specs person, so I don't have the patience to look at numbers to know how similar the quality of sound is. Hoping to hear from the audiophiles in the group.

Well if you have the drive space, you can always import as AIFF files which are uncompressed so no losses at all. But large files.
But for whatever it is worth, I use "highest quality" MP3 setting and am very happy with the quality.
What I would suggest doing it getting your setup hooked up then pick some CDs or songs with a lot of dynamic ranges (deep bass, high trebles, voice, etc.) and then import those songs or CDs multiple times using a few encoding methods you think you might like. For instance, if you want to try MP3, then import a song in each of the default bit rates and then listen to them on your set up and see if you note a difference. If none, pick the lowest bit rate to give the smallest file sizes. Also compare MP3 to AAC or Apple Lossless or whatever you think you like.

  • MacBook Pro onstage with live band...

Hi all, just a quick query...
My band use a lot of sampled/synthesised sounds in our recordings, and we want to transfer that to our live experience. Now, the easiest and most affordable way would be for me to use the Logic Pro session and simply trigger the sounds at the right time in our songs, which is great in theory, however...
Some laptops come with a built in sensor to detect movement and to safely stop the hard disk's read/write capability if the vibrations are at excessive levels (for things like if your laptop is dropped etc). This normally only comes in higher end Windows based laptops, but since MacBook's are built sturdily, I'd assume that there is some sort of functionality like this in my MBP. This is a great safety feature, but with a live band stomping around onstage I wouldnt want this kind of functionality to kick in and hinder our set.
    My question is this -
Do any of you have experience using MBP's onstage?
Does anyone know if they have this functionality?
If so, is there a safe way of disabling it for a live set?

This was one of the possibilities I'd considered, however SSD's are still quite expensive on the £/$ per GB scale... And we'd need a lot of space to keep all of our samples and synths loaded onto one SSD, so the minimum I'd be looking at would be 64GB, but as it's also my personal computer I'd need more room still... Well, you can see where this is going. For the money I'd shell out for an SSD of the size we need, It'd probably be cheaper to buy a small midi rig with some sample pads!
Do you happen to know anything about this supposed vibration/motion detection technology in relation to MBP's?
