Hi, Whenever I try and download anything it seems to stop at 15.2 Mb, is there a limit set on the phone to the size of files you can download or is this a network issue? Cheers

Is there a limit to the number of times you can redownload a song from iTunes on a particular device? I've got a 16GB iPhone and space is limited. I'd like to delete and redownload music when I feel like listening to it. I know in the past there was a 1 download limit to music, but it appears that has changed.

Whether you can re-download a song will depend upon what country that you are in (they can't be re-downloaded in all countries), and whether it remains available in the store - if you are in a country where you can re-download it then you re-download it as many times as you like (as long as the record company doesn't remove it).
You can copy iTunes purchased music from your phone to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11) so that you can take your own backup copy it

I have ?option 1 broadband and anytime calls... the 10gb download limit and this is a bit close to the mark but I dont fancy £13 extra a month to go to an unlimited limit....is my only option to pay £5 for each 5gb extra I use...or has anyone had success in smooth chatting a few extra gigs on to their limit...??

Is there a way to disable the 20mb download limit in iOS 5?

I currently have an Iphone 4 which I upgraded to iOS 5. I have an unlimited data plan so I am not concerned with going over any limits. I know you can now enable High Quality video over 3g and was wondering if there is a way to disable the 20mb download limit for things like apps or itunes?

using my iPhone tethering I have downloaded
much bigger files. Apple has done this to protect
users from heavy carrier charges for unintentional
usage. Apple should allow the user to
over rule this limit through a setup option.
I don't subscribe to a broadband service, I use my
3G service for both phone and laptop. Its working
fine for me except for this irritation.

just spoke to an applecare staff. told me that the download limit is set BY APPLE!!! and can not be shut down!
***?? as apple launched iOS5 they pronounced an incredible new feature "cableless". in apple keynote they said "for customers who only want to use the ipad or the iphone as their one single device, we now offer the opportunity to start up your device without connecting to your computer!"
for example: a person only uses the ipad for its single device to go online. with no WIFI @ home... how does apple imagine that customers stay up to date with this limit? there is no possibility to update the ipad or iphone or what ever, because most of updates are over 20MB!!!!
seems like apple is kidding us!

The reason for buying the 3G version is pretty obvious to me. You have Internet access anywhere where as I have to be connected to a WiFi network to use my WiFi only iPad and have Internet access.
Surely, you can't possibly need to download files larger that 20MG every minute of every single day. You may consider this to be a major drawback with the 3G iPad, and others may as well, but hardly precludes the iPad from being a PC free device.
If you need to update or download larger files, you just have to find WFi access. That's all.

Hi, im sure this has came up before but i understand that when using skygo i can only download a movie a limited number of times, however i tried downloading Fury twice while on a poor wifi connection which cut out twice. Now it tells me i have reached the download limit. Is there anyway to reset this and have it downloaded again? Thanks

The limit resets itself after 24 hours I believe so you will either have to wait or contact Sky to see if they will sort it for you, if they will not then try again once the 24 hours are up.

Three Macs to update how can I save my download limit

Hi have three Macs in the house and want to save on my download limit by only downloading updates once, then update the other computers via my network. Is this possible.

Yes. Download the installer direct from the Apple Support Downloads site, drag and drop to the other computers on the network (File Sharing needs to be enabled on all).

Only downloading a file (theme or persona) does account to your download limit.
Once you've download a persona (or theme) then using doesn't account for extra download quota.
Additional Personas are not stored on your computer,so if you switch a persona then the new persona needs to be re-downloaded from the (getpersonas) server.
A theme is stored on your computer, so switching themes requires no extra download.

Hey.. I was just wondering, how do you get rid of Apps that say "Loading" but they didn't actually download because of 20mb Data Download Limit? Any Ideas would be much appreciated!!

3G - 20 Meg download limit

I've got a stack of prepaid credit on my ISP's 3G ipad account, and would like to use it up.
I've got a number of apps I would like to update that are over 100 Meg, but can not download them from my iPad because of the 20 Meg limit. Understandably apple have this 20 Meg limit on a mobile device - but I was wondering if there is anyway I could turn this off? Im on the road a lot and don't have access to a wireless network unless I'm in a library or somewhere like that which genously lets users download all they want via wireless.

Charge for exceeding braodband download limit

Can some one tell me where it says specifically that if I exceed my download limit I will be charged £5 if I exceed it from 1 Byte to 5 GB?
I exceeded by 2 GB and was charged £5. So I have paid for 3GB that I did not have. I am happy to pay for what I get but it annoys to have to pay for something I am not getting.
I have failed to find the bit in all the blurb on and off line where it makes this clear. I am seeking clarification before I take it up wth OFCOM.

You are quite correct BT is not a monopoly, so you are allowed to get your broadband from any ISP.

I had PhotoshopCC on my two PC's and one PC has now failed and been replaced but I'm told I can't download Photoshop to the new one because I've reached my two downloads limit. Is there anything I can do to solve this?

Adobe allows the cc products on two machines only i.e mac-mac, win-win, mac-win.
And if you want you install the program of third machine you have to deactivate the product or sign out from the creative cloud OR you will get the message while installing on third machine (Sign me out from the previous two machines). You can select this one and then activate it the products on two machines on which you want.
