Apple sends emails to me in Dutch to one of my email addresses.  My language is English.  An Apple employee told me my initiating profile shows Dutch.  He did not know how to change it. How do I?
(Note:  When I bought my first Apple product, I used a Shaw email address.  This year I changed my primary email address to a gmail one.  The gmail one is apparently on my Apple profile.  Nonetheless, the Dutch messages go to my Shaw email address.)

    Hi, ruthrr.
This sounds like your language preference is set to Dutch on your Apple ID.  I would go to My Apple ID, Manage Your Apple ID and change the language and contact preferences.

  • Decision Step outcomes in English language only

    Hi,
My issue is little bit different, In my workflow template (WF) i have one user Decision step and currently outcomes are coming in Logon language. but my requirement is to display in English language only. I am working on 4.6c version. When i try to maintain translation by SWDD->extras->translation->translation.this is in display mode and i am not able to change. is something with authorizations??.
Please help me thanks a lot in advance,
    Mohan

I think you can directly change the outcome from table SWD_TEXT.
I think you just click in stead of double clicking which will open the particular step and follow the path Extras->Translation->translation.
    Thanks

  • Change language to English Adobe CC - only for 1 USER

    Hi!
I'm using Adobe CC in my company, which is a french agency. I'm used to use the programs in english, so I'd like to know if is it possible to change the language for only ONE USER of the suite.
If possible, I'd love to keep it both languages (English and French) easily switchable.
PS: I've already tried the "hack" solutions (renaming files) but it messed-up with the shortcuts and I needed to rename everything back. So, please, I'd love to know if there's a easier way to do it using the real settings from the Adobe CC.
I hope someone can help, and I wish you all a very nice day! =)

Try this, it worked for me:

  • Setting app language to English only

Hi, I seem to be getting a lot of Chinese and Arabic apps come up when I search on the apps store, especially in the categories section.
Is there anyway I can set this to English language only.
    Many thanks

If you are a member of the U.S. Armed forces I would recomend that you use your home of record as your address in your iTunes account and this would solve most of your problems. Also buy itunes gift cards on base at the PX. I set my Account up for my US address even though I live and work in Poland. The only problem I have is getting gift cars so I can add $ to my account. I just ask my boss who comes to Poland at least once a month to buy them in the states for me. works quit well.

    Hi ,
who can help me? Since update I cannot choose the german language on preferences again.Only English and automatic is possible.Thank you for help.

I managed to get it ^.^ Here's what I did:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get remove --purge firefox
Then I unpacked the Japanese edition:
    Code:
    tar xvjf firefox-9.0.1.tar.bz2
I couldn't open Firefox using the terminal, so I went to the folder and opened it from there. The Firefox icon no longer appears, and I can't figure out how to change the shortcut in my menu lol But it's definitely the Japanese version, and all of my bookmarks, plugins and preferences were saved, so everything else will come eventually ^.^

Battery pull, insert battery and when the red light goes off, hold down the back key through the entire boot process.  It
will give you a message about safe mode.
try to delete or reinstall that way.  I'm hoping you can at least get rid of it

  • (SOLVED) Dutch locale with English language

I would like to have a Dutch locale with English language in Arch. I've have done this in Debian and Gentoo, the settings below work fine. In Gentoo you can edit  /etc/env.d/02locale. Which files do I need to edit in Arch? I've read the about locales in the wiki but I couldn't find the answer.
    LANG=en_US.UTF-8
    LANGUAGE="en_US:en"

  • Opensuse 11.4 download dutch language, firefox 8.0 is in plain English; how can i tell FF to swith to Dutch language?,

When installing a new OpenSuse 11.4 system in Dutch language when activating Firefox 8.0, the application window is in plain Englisch.
I'd like to have firefox in my mother thongue (Dutch).
    How can I do that

If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up.
You should have a look in:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons
    /Library/Extensions
You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple.

  • Project in dutch language, but use a point as decimal separator (not comma)

I am working with Haley v9.4.1.71.
I am preparing a demo for coming wednesday in which I want Haleys to work together with Siebel. I have now ran in to a problem for which I can’t find the solution. I have made the rules in the Dutch language wich all works fine. As it seems it also uses the dutch format for numbers, this means that the decimal separator is a comma instead of a point. Siebel however, requires the decimal separator to be a (point).
Data delivered from Haleys to Siebel is in the current situation therefore converted incorrectly.
    My question is:
How can I keep the dutch language, but use the point as a decimal separator (instead of the comma).
    Thing I have tried already:
    - Configure the file hi-servlet.properties with the Haley Interactive Configuration Tool
The ‘Application Output Numeric Format’ is #,###,###,##0.###############
This looks correct, but still in the User Interface the comma is used as the decimal separator.
    - Set the Windows Regional and Language Options (Tab Regional Options) to English(United States) and customized the Decimal symbol to a point.
    - I have also looked in the Folder C:\Program Files\Haley\Office Rules 2008\Language\Dutch but couldn’t find specific settings for the comma separator
I hope you can help me solve this issue.
    Sake Kampen

    Thank you for the reply.
The problem to upgrading to v10 is that we make use of a OPA <-> Siebel integration developed by the local Dutch Oracle pre-sales team. And I don't know if we can replicate what Oracle has done for us if we upgrade.
But the problem I'm having doesnt lie with the connection but with OPA itself, in OPA the decimal separator is a comma where I want it to be a point. This problem only exists when I create a Dutch project, when I create an English project (on the same windows environment with the same regional settings) the decimal separator is a point.
I have advanced a little bit, but I’m not quite there yet.
Haleys seems to use the Regional settings of Windows.
The regional settings of my Windows-installation was English, so I temporarily went to Dutch to see what the settings were there. Ofcourse the numberformatting was in the dutch way with a comma as the decimal separator. So I changed this to a point and clicked ‘Apply’. Then I changed the language back to English and clicked ‘Apply’.
In Haleys the same error persisted.
So I went back to the regional settings of windows, and there I went back to dutch (English was still selected) and saw to my surprise that the ‘corrected’ decimal separator for dutch was set back to its default.
So I changed it again to a point and now kept the dutch regional setting, and tested Haleys again. The behaviour of Haleys then changed. But surprisingly the decimal signs are now deleted.
    e.g.:
a value derived from a table in excel is transformed as follows
    in Excel: 28.5 ==> in Haleys: 285
Provided by user in Haleys: 543.1234 ==> shown in Haleys summary screen 5.431.234
I can provide decimal numbers and they seem to be accepted, but if I show them in the summary screen (using the%%) I see that every number is rounded to a whole one in the way described above.
Are you certain this is a known issue that has been adressed in Haleys 10?

  • E51 and dutch language

Dutch is the language where all family names beginning with 'van' or 'van de' originate from. But in Dutch you don't glue these parts in the family names but treat them as a separate second or middle name.
Fortunately we can now add a second name in the contact list in which you can add this detail. This is already a great improvement. But... this second name is not displayed as it should be in the contact list.
The correct rule is as follows:
    Example: Jan van Beek
    firstname: Jan
    second name: van
    family name: Beek
In case the list appears sorted on first name show:
    Jan van Beek
In case the list appears sorted on family name show:
    Beek, Jan van
The Germans suffer in the same way with their 'von' like in Werner von Braun.
It is not rocket science however. May be for the next firmware release.

    Jan-Willem

Here you go, I've tweaked it a bit for you.
    "Dear E-Cell,
I received the phone I ordered from you yesterday.
It looks good, but the the packaging is in an Asian language. I immediately went to a Nokia Care Point for them to confirm it's origin and they informed me that it has no valid warranty in Europe. It was not advertised on Ebay as being an Asian model without a warranty that's valid in Europe.
The phone language can only be English or Chinese which is useless to me as I live in the Netherlands and speak Dutch.
Also you can't get any software updates because the latest version isn't available in China. This also means that the Nokia Care Point cannot add the Dutch language for me.
I haven't used the phone, it's brand new, so I would like to return it. Your disclaimer states that I have 7 days to return it. I received the phone yesterday, so that should not be a problem.
I'm very disappointed, if I knew it was an Asian model without a valid warranty, I would never have bought this from you.
I await your reply regarding this issue."

  • Dutch Holidays in English..??

Suddenly several users of the Dutch Holidays subscription have their Holidays language changed from Dutch in English. I am one of them.
What's going on with Apple's subscription services? Someone suggests hacker activity.
Are these services updated on your MAC on a daily basis or is it part of OSX update services? What is Apple's influence on these subscriptions on their website?

Unfortunately, I cannot tell whether this is because I'm running CS4 under Tiger 10.4.11, as CS5, Snow Leopard and Lion will not run on my machine.  On my setup, the name of each language in the menu appears in its own language:
My understanding is that Camera Raw takes its language cue from the Bridge preferences, and that's what I thought you meant when you said "After update cameraprofile in Photoshop CS5".  It now appears that I misunderstood you, sorry.
Photoshop should not be affected by the language preference setting in Bridge the way Camera Raw and Bridge itself are.  The only way to get another language in Photoshop is supposed to be buying a different language version of the software, not through preferences.
I don't know how you managed to change that (Photoshop itself) to English.    Perhaps you inadvertently applied a Photoshop update (to 12.0.1,  12.0.2,  12.0.3, or  12.0.4) that was English-only instead of the Dutch one.
What I would do now if I were in your virtual klompen, would be to use the Adobe Uninstaller that gets installed with CS5 in your Applications/ Utilities/ Adobe/ folder ('map' in de Nederlandse Taal) and re-install Photoshop CS5 version 12.0 and gradually update it to 12.0.4, making absolutely certain that you select a Dutch-language download of each of those four updates.  You should then update the ACR plug-in too.
As I said, Bridge and Camera Raw will choose and set a language within Bridge's preferences after installation, but each one of the updates to Photoshop itself MUST be the Dutch version of each such update.
Before and after every single install, update or upgrade you should Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility.
    Best of luck!
