5508 unable to form redundant pair

Hi,
We have two 5508 controllers which were actually working fine in ap sso mode when it was initially configured. Due to a recent network move, both 5508 were removed from current location & installed at another location.
When we re-installed & connected all the connections, the ap sso is not forming and it says Unknown-Communication down & goes into maintenance mode.

it doesn't appear that your management addresses are in the same subnet.  on is .15 the other is .5, but the redundancy port is showing both should be .15

It is probably easier to do with with a standard tag than the <html:button> tag, as it means you can nest the
    <input type="button" name="more" value="more" onclick="setID(<bean:write name="bloodbankList" property="id"/>)"/>or maybe like this:
    <bean:define id="bbId" name="bloodbankList" property="id"/>
    <html:button property="More" value="More" style="color: #00007D; text-transform: uppercase; letter-spacing: 2pt; background-color: #6B719C; border: 2 solid #00007D"   onclick="<%= "setID(" + id + ");" %>" />Cheers,

  • Unable to form af:table in navigation Menu Model

    Hi,
    Am using jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.0,
I have developed my project with reference to the link below
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cInX_FMZJaQ
Am unable to drag and drop a VO as af:table in my jspx pages.
Could any one pls explain me where i went wrong?

It is not possible to drop VO directly from the model into pages. On JDeveloper, go to the Data controls view of the Applications Navigator tab, click on the refresh icon, select your application module and then then the VO instance you want to drag and drop. I'm just guessing what you could be doing wrong. Describe what steps you did. Also make sure, if you use a template, that you have declared facets and referenced the facet where you want to create the table in a container that allows tables.

  • Unable to form a single cluster island.  Two clusters formed and kills one

I am trying to use ReplicatedCache and deployed the web application on four Webspher appserver JVMs in two linux servers (2 boxes). Server1 (A&B) Server2 (A&B). Server1A and Server2A physical clusters and likewise Server1B and Server2B are physical clusters.
Server1 A & B forms a coherence cluster island and Server2 A & B forms another cluster island. After few seconds the Server2 cluster node on B identifies the existence of another cluster island and activates the panic protocol. So the Server1 A or B receives the panic message and sends kill message to the other cluster member on Server1. Ultimately, the cluster service on Server1 is stopped and both the members leave the cluster. How do I fix this?
I want to have one cluster and all the four nodes to be members of this cluster so that the cache is replicated in all the four nodes. Please help.
Note: The coherence.jar and tangosol.jar are inside the WEB-INF/lilb in the war and the same war file deployed in four jvms.

    Hi,
Please take a look at this wiki page on how to verify and troubleshoot multicast support: http://wiki.tangosol.com/display/COH33UG/Multicast+Test . Most likely (but I can be wrong), all you need to do is to add java.net.preferIPv4Stack=true system property to the jvm command line.

  • Unable deploy form on web from forms10g developer suit..????

    hi all
i download the 10g developer suit .i am not able deploy the form on browser ?
actually i tried all possiblities to deploy
    1 start listner
    2 change the port
the connection test is successful but it is not deployee on the web what should be the reason
    second question is
how to get the status of listner it is started or not...........?
    pls help me
    regards
    onkar

Seems like you have things mixed up.
The listener is for the database and not development suite.
For starters tell us what's going on when you try to run a form, after installation did you run the test from successfully?? try it.
You have to start OC4J to run a form from the forms builder.
try it and let me know what happens.

  • Unable to issue "redundancy-protocol" command on CSS

This is really weird. I've done box-2-box redundancy on CSSs half a dozen times. I have a CSS 11050 on 5.0(33) code that does not recognize "redundancy-protocol" as a valid command on the VRRP interface.
Config of the CSS is really basic:

Anybody have any clue what is happening here?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
In order to add "redundancy-protocol" to the circuit, you need to go into the ip address section after going into the circuit section and then it will be an available option.
    Like this:
    scc-lb1(config)# circuit VLAN10
once in the circuit section, type in the ip address of the circuit.
Then you will be in the ip address part of the config and type in "redundancy-protocol"

  • IPS Redundancy Pair and Etherchannel

    Guys,
Do yo have any experience with IPS redundandy ?
i have idea about it ?
    |-----------|
    |-----------| ---link-1--- IPS-1
    |-switch-|
    |-----------| ---link-2--- IPS-2
    |-----------|
Two IPS (IPS-1 and IPS-2) is deployed in "out of bound" to one switch (I know it can be deployed use two switch and use inline topology but i don't have other switch :D). Link-1 and link-2 is etherchannel trunk. Etherchannel trunk carry vlan inside and vlan outside. In IPS-1 and IPS-2 there are mapping vlan for that vlan (inside <--> outside).
What do you think guys ?

    Hi,
how did you solve this? Have you tried load-balancing using multichassis etherchannel?

  • Form for edit pair table

    Hi,
my problem is how to create edit form for pair two tables for example COMPANIES and CAMPAIGNS.
    create table COMPANIES (
    id integer,
    name varchar2(100));
    create table CAMPAIGNS (
    id integer,
    name varchar2(100));
    create table PAIRS (
    id_company integer,
    id_campaign integer);
And the problem is which wizard to edit user friendly (it is important) table PAIRS. My idea is to select certain campaign and then filter companies based on filter critera and then by unselecting checkbox be able to delete specified companies.

  • Active/Standby Failover with pair of 5510s and redundant L2 links

    Hi
I just got two ASA5510-SEC-BUN-K9 and I'm wondering is it possible to implement an Active/Standby Failover configuration (Routed mode) with two ASA5510 and redundant pair of switches from both inside and outside interfaces? In other words, I would like to have two L2 links from each ASA (in pair od ASAa) to each L2 switch (in pair of redundant L2 Switches). The configuration I would like to achive is just like one in Cisco Security Appliance Command Line Configuration Guide, page B-23, figure B-8, with only difference that I wouldn't go with multiple security contexts (I want Active/Standby failover).
    Thanks in advance
    Zoran Milenkovic

    Hello Zoran,
Absolutely. You can have 2 ASAs configured in Active/Standby mode. For reference, here is a link which has a network connectivity diagram based on PIX, however, connectivity would still be same with ASAs-
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/pix/pix63/configuration/guide/failover.html#wp1053462
The difference is that on ASA, you can only have LAN-Based failover, hence you'll need to use one additional interface on both ASAs for failover-link. You can connect these two failover-link interfaces directly using a cross cable.
Apart from this, please refer to following link on how to go with configuration of Lan-based Active/Standby failover-
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa72/configuration/guide/failover.html#wp1064158
Also make sure that both ASAs have required hardware/software/license based on following link-
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa72/configuration/guide/failover.html#wp1047269
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Vibhor.

  • Cisco 5508 HA VS Primary/Secondary- Feedback

Anyone having issues with 5508 HA switching between the pair? Would you say that the Primary/secondary fail over is good enough?

    Hi Leo, Scott
So I was doing a bit more reading on this http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless-mobility/wireless-lan-wlan/69639-wlc-failover.html it is an old document but working through it the document suggested that you didn't need to specify the IP address of the Primary or Secondary controller in the Wireless -> All AP -> AP_NAME -> High Availability. I removed this from one of the APs that was at the time serving no clients and tried to move it to the secondary and it worked. I then moved it back to the primary and it worked again.
Any reason why this would happen? The IP addresses I was using were 100% correct. The only difference I see for this controller as opposed to others we manage is the introduction of new interface types i.e. 'redundancy management' , 'redundancy port' ,etc. I do not have redundancy enabled so I'm guessing not, but having trawled through the configuration this is the only difference I can see?

  • Software upgrades on HA Pairs?

I am working on a plan to convert some of my existing 5508s to be HA pairs.  I like the redundancy i have now with multiple controllers, but don't necessarily like buying two licenses for every AP.  I am trying to determine the downside to the HA mode.  I am trying to figure out what a code upgrade looks like for a redundant pair.   Currently, because I have 2 licenses for each AP, I have this process:
    1. Load new code onto both controllers (no reboot here)
    2. move the APs from controller A to controller B,
    3. Reboot controller A to new code
    4. Predownload new code from controller B to APs
    5. Slowly move APs back to controller A so that there is no real outage.  Clients move to adjacent APs as each AP is individually rebooted.
Is there a way I can take an HA member out of service, upgrade it and move the APs to it before doing the other HA member?  Or does the whole HA pair have to be down to facilitate a code upgrade?  Curious to hear what others are doing.
    Thanks

Before you convert the WLC to HA, make sure all the bootstrap have been upgraded.  If you have any certificates and/or web-auth pages, make sure they are loaded to both before you tie them up into an HA.
Next, your license for the 2nd unit.  Send an email to [email protected] and provide the HA serial number.  Tell them you want to convert this unit to HA SSO.  They'll send you further instructions.
Ok, now the HA bit.  Choose a firmware, either 7.4.121.X or 7.6.110.X.  Don't choose anything else.
Read through the High Availability (SSO) Deployment Guide and pay close attention to mandatory requirements especially the requirement that both 5508 must be physically connected via the RP port.
Let us know how you go.

  • Cannot pair new Apple TV with iTunes

Okay I recently got the new Apple TV 160GB model and have it connected to Internet over Wifi. The computer whose iTunes Library I want to pair it with is a 2006 based Intel Mac Mini with Core Duo 1 processor and Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11 with iTunes 8.2.1 presently installed.
The Apple TV had 2.3.1 installed when it arrived -- tried pairing with iTunes while running Apple TV 2.3.1 on the Apple TV didn't work. Updated to 2.4 still doesn't work. Unfortunately I've been unable to get the Mac Mini to connect to the Internet over my home wireless network and stay connected -- it has connected a few times but shortly loses the connection. Other times I try to connect while disconnected and get errors that it could not connect.
Regardless, the few times I did manage to connect over Wifi my Mac Mini would not recognize my Apple TV (has never been paired with iTunes so has not even been named) we use a Linksys wireless router for wireless Internet.
At times the wireless Internet connection in my bedroom where I keep the Apple TV and Mac Mini has been unreliable -- when using my iPod Touch I also own with Internet access any time I am using it in my bedroom the Wifi access quickly gets lost -- to reconnect have to venture out into the hallway then come back the room and get some Wifi use within the room for about 2 minutes before losing the connection again.
However, my Apple TV in my bedroom once connected has had no problem staying connected to the wireless network neither does the Nintendo Wii I own. Also my new MacBook Pro can connect to the Internet wirelessly within the bedroom and often stay connected -- although a few times even when using MacBook Pro the connection gets lost and I go outside the room and connection is restored.
Anyways even when I manage to get the Mac Mini on the wireless network iTunes is unable to recognize and pair my Apple TV. In the past I have gotten it to recognize my iPod Touch as a wireless remote and use Apple's Remote app and/or the Rowmote Pro app from Apple's iPhone App Store with it -- only recently they aren't showing up either due to connection problems of the Mac Mini accessing the wireless network.
Whenever the Mac Mini does connect to the wireless network it only stays connected a brief time and then is hard to get it to reconnect. Last time it connected I feel I got lucky and I'm not superstitious so I wouldn't believe in being lucky or unlucky.
Anyways, when the Mac Mini has connected wirelessly even then it does not recognize the Apple TV. This Apple TV has never been synced to before or streamed to. The only thing I've been able to use it for so far is accessing iTunes Store on the TV and accessing YouTube.
All my purchases are on the Mac Mini though and don't want to have to re-purchase them from Apple TV and download to it. In any case whether I bought some content from Apple TV or not (would not want to have to re-buy all of it) I should be able to get Apple TV to be recognized with iTunes.
At present the Mac Mini which I'm using to type and send this is connected over a wired Ethernet network and the Apple TV is connected over Wifi. I've tried going into the Firewall and ensuring the port for iTunes Music Sharing is enabled, and UDP port 5353 as noted by an Apple Support document online for Bonjour Networking is enabled. I've tried restarting the Mac Mini but Apple TV just won't show up in iTunes at all even when the Mac Mini was also on the wireless network.

Update: My Apple TV is connected via Wifi but Mini via Ethernet and Mini does not seem to recognize Apple TV unless Mini also has Wifi or unless I run Ethernet cord from Mini directly to Apple TV at which point they are physically connected to each other but neither has Internet.
I think there is a problem with my Mini's Airport card -- yesterday for the first time in over a month I managed to get it to connect wirelessly again and keep it connected for a few hours (during which time Apple TV showed up in the devices list on Mac Mini's iTunes Library) but after that it lost the connection and have been struggling ever since to get it reconnected. Have posted on the Mac Mini, Mac Mini (previous early 2009 models) Internet & Networking with Mac Mini discussion forum by Apple for help and now the Airport Extreme section of Apple Discussions.
Thanks for the help -- I now know this is not a problem with the Apple TV it is likely a hardware issue with Mini's Airport card and as it is out of warranty now would unfortunately have to pay to get it repaired.
