5510 wont print black

myy printer stopped printing black, bought new cartridges and tried all the steps on here. please help

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are running into some print quality issues on your HP Photosmart 5510, you are unable to print in black ink after replacing the cartridges.
You have completed the troubleshooting steps listed here: Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages, with no success.
Please note: There are three printhead cleaning stages. Complete all three stages if necessary. If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last (third) cleaning stage to start the first stage of the cleaning process over again.
If you are still unable to print in black ink, I suspect the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. Please let me know which Country/Region you are in as well as the product Warranty status: HP Warranty Checker

You did not go unheard, I see you are unable to print black from your Photosmart 5510. If this is still unresolved, I'd like to help.
Please complete all of the steps in the following document; Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages. Although I hope this resolves the issue, it might not. If the issue persists, please post back with your warranty status. Use the following link to check your warranty.
If your printer is still in warranty, please call HP and explain the issue you are experiencing. The number to call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.
If your printer is out of warranty, let me know and I will do my best to help. Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you.

Desk jet f4280 wont print black

printer wont print black ink. prints color ink fine. infact, if i have an office doc i just change the text color 2 dark blue, and it is just fine. color ink indicator is all 4 lights bright green. black ink indicator is all 4 lights-light green. (tried a used-up black, and it does not display green lights, -shows a bright orange light instead.) really need the black ink to work, though, because i cant change the color of something i found on the web.

I understand that your HP Deskjet 1000 will not print using the black ink cartridge, but will with only the color cartridge.
Please take a look through this print quality guide, Printer Prints a Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink for the HP Deskjet 1000, 2000, 3000....

5520 wont print black ink

can someone please help me with this issue.. my 5520 wont print black.. it prints color ok and it also prints grey it just wont print black it stopped working after i replaced the cartridge.. i then replaced the black one a second time and it still doesnt work.. i have tried all of the cleaning suggested and have also cleaned the vent but it looked as as picture and it still doesnt print black.. please help i cant afford new printer and i cant afford to buy ink ...help!!!!

As this is a 5520 I would advise calling HP Support, even if you're out of warranty, as you may require a replacement printer

Wont print black with new cartidge

i have an all in one b111 series hp photosmart 5510 printer it will not print black at all. what can i do to fix it. i have tried all the trouble shooting tips on the site and also the things on the printer like cleaning the print head.

I too am having the same problem as everyone else. I have had 3 printer from HP and always bragged about how good they are...All of a sudden 2 of the 3 went bad...the HP 6515 wont print the black ink, as well as the Photosmart B209.
I spent over $100 on ink for both of these and they wont print...I tried all the little suggestions.
This will be my last HP when the new one I purchased a few months back goes out. I think that is why they are $100 machines...they only last 1 year and you have to go buy a new one...
Very dissapointed!!!

4615 wont print black

Good day I have a deskject advantage 4615. I have not used it that much. This is the 3rd time replacing cartridges.
The black ink wont print.
I have followed all the steps on the guide ie, checking levels (this is a new cartridge) checking if the vents etc are open and cleaning the heads (which i have done several times).
I have downloaded the firmware but when i run it, it does not pick up any printers?
I have also tried to do alignment. It prints the alignment page and then i put it face down on the glass it says it cannot pick up the page, i go to the next step, which is the option to retry from screen. I then get a message saying alignment failed.
could anybody suggest any further steps i can take?

Wireless photosmart 5520 wont print black

Printer wont print in black ink only. Have reset several times. Cleaned printhead. Diagnostic shows colors fully but 4 small stripes of black. Help!

I'm sorry to hear you've been having issues with your Photosmart 5520 and printing in black ink only. I will certainly do my best to help
I will suggest that you begin with following the steps within this Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages document. Those steps should be able to get the black ink flowing properly again.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, please let me know whether the printer is still under warranty or not and what country you're located in. Please feel free to private message me the country information if you'd like to keep it off the forums!

HP 1050A J410g wont print black and white only colour

Hello,
My HP1050A J410g - 14 months old hardly ever used stopped printing black and white.
Colour will print.
No error message
Test page prints blank
Cartridges are new and not empty.
Paper feeds through but prints blank.
Please help.

Photosmart 7510 wont print black

Help!!! on my last tax forms for my business and I can't get the black to work even with a new cartridge!!! screen shows a full black but when i print a report for the ink it shows nothing!!! i have to have my printer fast!!!

Officejet 4620 Wont Print Black

I have an Officejet 4620. I used it 2 days ago to print something and it worked fine. Now all of a sudden, it won;t print anything in black. It also prints things that are supposed to be purple, in pink. I bought all new ink. I aligned everything, and cleaned the heads. My printer is also saying that my ink levels are still low, even though they are brand new cartridges. Can someone PLEASE help!? I am trying to print things for my wedding!

If you complete, or have already completed all of the steps in the document above and the issue continues, my own personal recommendation, not one of HPs, is to use the solution offered in the following video. I only suggest doing this if the printer is out of warranty; How to fix a HP Printer, not printing black ink and missing colours

Although the printer might be out of warranty, if the issue persists, HP may be able to offer you something. Maybe they can offer you a discount on an alternate model. If you are in Canada or US call 800 474 6836, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.

HP photosmart 5514 wont print black

I have been haveing problems with my printer no printing black I already try clean the printhead and nothing. I also believe I dont have warrenty. I have run a print status and print quality report and both only show the color ink.

Photosmart 5525 wont print black

printer will not print black, all other colors print fine, have run clean print head so many times that my new colored ink cartiridges are low on ink. When it runs the clean head the black column is empty no black at all. I have no other ideas on what to do except maybe get a new printer...not an hp. Also i have had this issue before and i have cleaned the heads and it is working again, so i dont knwo if that one head is clogged or what ...and yes i did try anther ink cartiridge. any help would be appreciated

The post here has links to a troubleshooting document for the Photosmart 5520 series. If the steps there do not resolve the issue please contact HP Support, even if the printer is no longer under warranty. If the above does not give satisfactory results then please post back here and mention what country you are in.

HP Photosmart 5510 no printing black

Very frustrated. Printer is not printing black ink. Have tried powering off, changing cartridges, cleaning contacts. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you have done most of the troubleshooting steps in this document, but make sure your have checked the vents as shown in solution two. You should also check the warranty as shown in HP’s Warranty Check Tool.
