5530 never finds any WLAN
Hi. I just got my Nokia 5530 expressmusic about 2 weeks ago, but I've never been able to find any WLAN. I stand right next to my router or anywhere in the house and when I go into "Wireless LAN", it never comes out of the "Searching for WLAN network" screen. I've tried it everywhere (university, coffee shops, other houses, etc.) but to no avail. I've really tried everything but I just can't get it to work. Lots of karma points if anyone can help me!
You're not in China, are you? Turn off WLAN network filtering. Make sure the SSID of the router or accesspoint is set to visible. Reset the 5530. Dial *#7370# 12345 reformat, you'll lose all data. Make a backup first and restore without the settings. If the reset doesn't work, you better bring your device in for service or demand a new one.

I currently use driver v.11.1.0.100 for Intel(R) Pro/Wireless 3945ABG, which is the latest driver I found here at Toshiba.
My problem is that I randomly lose my wifi connection, both at my home wlan (using WEP protection) and at my university (WPA-Enterprise). After the connection drops, it is impossible to find any wlan nodes unless I reboot.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this issue? It is kind of frustrating having to reboot randomly because I need my network connection!There could be different reasons why the WLan connection is not stable;
- There could be an compatibility issue between the router and WLna card.
- The WLan driver is not up to date -> in such case update the WLan driver!
- If you use Vista OS -> install al Vista OS updates and fixes
- The weak WLan signal could has a bad influence and the Wlan card would disconnect
- Check the ALL the settings in the WLan card Advanced options like mentioned [here |http://209.167.114.38/support/techsupport/tsbs/all/-TSB001435.htm]
- Check if the same issue would appears using other WLan cards (USB WLan stick)

Because the e-mail-support page doesn't works at the moment (after sending a message I only get a blank page) I will ask my question here.
Since maybe 2 or 3 months my connection to WLAN-networks is really bad. I have nothing changed, neither the Windows version (Windows 7) nor drivers, but it does not work as good as it was.
Some examples:
I'm sitting 5 metres away from the wlan router. Only a wall is seperating. The notebook does not find any wlan-network. With my HP notebook the connection is good. I'm sitting on the desk where the router stands. The notebook finds the network, but Windows says connection seems to be only average or bad. My HP notebook has the best connection rating.
Anybody here who can help or can say how I contact the support per e-mail without getting only this blank page?

After WLAN driver update make also sure that power saving mode is disabled for WLAN card. You can do this in Windows Power Management.

Driver update in such cases its always advisable but in my case it was the power saving of WLAN card. :) -
GPS never finds any satellites

My first blackberry and my first post - blackberrys ROCK!
Lovin my 8110, only one niggle - one of the key things i wanted this phone for was the GPS, but suspect i may have faulty hardware as the GPS has never found a single satellite, it just searches indefinately.
Google maps for example, i select "My Location" and it thinks i'm half a mile away saying "- Your location within 1200 metres. Waiting for GPS". The GPS never responds, i presume it's getting within 1200 metres by triangulating my position via the telephone network (vodafone).
Blackberry Maps - "Searching for satellies..." Again, never finds any?!?!?

Go to Solution.Try refresshing the Gps, go to menu, options, advanced options, gps, press menu again and refresh GPS
Remember, you need to stay outside to receive the satellites signal

My Iphone 4s can not scan for wifi signals. My phone was jailbroken and it was working fine until one day, my phone began to have problems searching for wifi signals. It connected and took longer to do so, however the next day it didnt pick up any wifi what so ever. I tap settings>wifi>on> and its an endless search in places where there is wifi.I saddly lost my hard drive where i kept a back up for my iphone, so restoring it from a back up wont do. I plugged it in on another
computer which i had to set restore as a new phone. I did and i still hasn't worked, i am open to suggestions and the following i am aware of:

What encryption our you using? Try changing the encryption, icluding using no encryption for test perposes. -
OK I own the 1st generation Ipod touch and granted I bought it used and its pretty old, but the Wifi doesnt work at all. When I click on the checkmark box it turns on and it looks like its trying to find a connection, but it only tries for one second (literally) and then stops trying to look for a connection. It wont bring up any connection to choose from no matter where I go, it wont find one connection. Please help me this thing is driving me insane. I was told it could be a bad IP address, and that there is a way to get a new one. But How? I already reset it and restored it and nothing seems to fix it. So now I dont know what to do with it now.
So you also rebooted your router correct? Does the iPod still connect okay to other networks?

Iphone 4s can not find any wlan

I have an iphone 4s with iOS 6.1.3
In the past few days my iPhone can no longer to longer connect to wifi networks, neither at home or any public wireless LAN hotspot. I reset the network settings maybe 20 times but to no avail. At some point the WLAN configuration in the iPhone setting was completely disabled. Then I backed up the iPhone and reinstalled iOS and restored my settings and data. This didn't help either.
Questions:
Should I restore as a complete new iPhone?
Is this a software or hardware problem?

MichaelRestoring to factory settings didn't help either. It seems that the WLAN antenna is broken.

Minecraft PE: "scanning for WiFi Games..." never finds any on same network
My daughter wants to play Minecraft PE with her friends when they are here at the house, but I cannot get things to work. I suspect this is an Airport issue because we have done everything that the Minecrafte forums suggest to do to get this to work.
We use a TimeCapsule for our wireless network in the house. It is configured in Bridge mode because the FIOS modem between it and the Internet doesn't accommodate any other configuration.
All the iOS devices (iPads, iPod touches, etc.) are all on the same wireless network in our house. They all have their servers set to visible.
Yet when the kids want to join a game on a friend's device (in the house, on the same wireless network, and servers set to visible), they just get "Scanning for WiFi games...."
I have googled this problem, and the only discussion which seems pertinent is this (http://goo.gl/jMlYZ) in which the solution is to "make sure you have 'Enable Wireless Isolation' unchecked." The poster was talking about the set up for a NetGear router.
Airport Utility does not give access to such a setting as far as I can tell.
Any ideas?Okay, nevermind the sync for now. I did know it has to be connected to power, but that is irrelevant since my devices won't appear in iTunes at all.
I am pretty sure the issue is with iTunes, as the it persists no matter what network I am on. I just moved recently, and now have internet with an entirely different provider and still no luck. Today I changed my network name and password, reconnected my computer, phone, and iPad all to the same network, no change. I also tried ending the "AppleMobileDeviceHelper" process in Windows Task Manager repeatedly, a solution I saw in a thread for the same issue - still nope. I have Norton Internet Security and manage all firewall setting through there. iTunes and all related incoming and outgoing connections are allowed, so it's not my firewall either. I am at a sincere loss with this. -
Can someone my Bluetooth is not working on my iPhone 4S and never has I can never find any devise I search for even if others can. Any suggestions?

MMaybe it is defective or your phone isnt registered right. Did you contacted the provider virgin? it uses cdma network.

Sat SM30X: OS recognizes name of peripheral but never finds USB driver
Hi , I have pb with a SM30X ; no matter wich usb device I connect to it ( e.g. generic joystick, usb drive , etc )it recognizes the name of periphral , but never finds any driver to install what should be fine as XP has all generic drivers inside.
I reinstalled from restoration DVD from scratch , but always same pb.
Would it be a bios problem ? the actual one is configured OK for the usb , or would some driver files missing on the original DVD ?
I need a good answer. I can't get my Saitek P220 recognized !!! no joystick game possible !!!

As far as I know you dont need any especially USB drivers. The windows OS uses own usb drivers any they should work without any problems.
I assume that there is some issue with the USB power supply.
Please go to device manager and select the USB root Hub properties. There you will find a power management tab. There you can disable the option Allow the computer to turn off this device
Check this possibility.

I've seen all the posts for fixing the wifi on the 4s, none of them work! So, who can tell me why my iPhone 4S cannot find any wifi when it used to find wifi, and when it does find a wifi network it can never connect? You think apple would have a clue how to fix it! Because turning the wifi on and off doesn't work, resorting network settings doesn't work, even restoring phone to factory default doesn't work...
Did not work. I've selected iMessage to ON and left it. After a few hours I recieved a message "activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again". This has been going on for the past 3 days.

I can only create group messages but every time someone starts a group chat it says its send to my number but I never got any text. I wen't to settings>Messages and I can't find any on/off switch.
