5530XM cannot install scribble+python via software...

Just upgraded to v40.0.003 firmware on 5530XM and then tried to update software via phone. Selected only scribble with python from the list of updates. Update downloads but fails to install every time I try.
Also tried to update via NSU but I get "Missing dependency" error with the following information:
"Installation failed because the update depends on another update whose installation failed. Please contact the vendor of the application update."
Latest OVI Suite gave the same results:
"Cannot install this application."
"There's a problem with installing: Scribble. There was a problem with updating the application Scribble because the update package is faulty."
I remember I had no problems installing scribble+python on v32 firmware but maybe it's just luck.
I think I need to delete some temp file on phone memory which indicates that scribble is downloaded and then try installing it again from scratch. Just don't know how to do it. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry for replying late, but I had just found a solution. I had the same problem. First download and install , than try to install scribble+python. It worked for me. Hope I helped

HP Officejet Pro cannot install on laptop via wireless

Trying to install a new HP8600 Pro Plus. I have configured the wireless on the printer, and it is connected to my wireless network, has an IP address and good signal strength. When I try to add this printer on my laptop (I have now tried several laptops), it cannot find it.
I have uninstalled the driver software, and downloaded from the HP site - reinstalled, etc. I have power cycled the printer itself.
I see a lot of posts about this same problem, but not seeing any good answers.

I worked with HP tech support today. We ended up having to change the Channel on my router from 1 to 11. Once we did that, I was able to connect to the printer. Once this was done, I was also able to connect from my iPohone via AirPrint.

I cannot Install anything, nor use software updates..

Hey Everyone..
Ok, here's my dilema. I recently updated my OS from OS 10.3.2 to 10.3.9, but ever since then, my safari stopped working (When we open it, nothing shows up, only the title..) and I think that it has even affcted other programs...I have tried downloading a new safari installer, but now there seems to be a problem with our installation program. Everytime we try to install something, the installer shows up, but the glass bubbles where it says "Go Back" and "Continue" have no writing in them whatsoever...
Not only that, but when I go to the upper left hand corner-the "Software Update" screen, I have the opportunity to download new stuff, but it never downloads. My internet connection is fine (Thus I am able to write this message) but I don not know what is going on..did I get a virus? Am I too low on disk space? (I have like 3 GB left out of 30 GB) or am I low on memory? (Which, I have no idea how to check..)
But if anyone has had a similar problem or can point me in the right direction, please let me know.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

The thing is is that I ran the disk repairs, I ran the Apple Hardware Test, but it says that everything is fine. BUT- it still cant isolate the problem. The problem is that all my browers cannot run (Safari doesnt run completely, and Internet Explorer works on occasion) If we open explorer, it will "open" but then freeze. Same thing with Safari. Same thing when I open up "Software Update" (In the upper Left-hand corner. ) The Software update will open, but then I click on anything, or click the button to download the update, the colored beach bubble will show up, and the application will never load. What is going on? By the way, I also noticed that when I open up Disk Utility, and try to click on my hard drive, it shows the same colored bubble and never loads. Or maybe it takes too much time...where can I go to make my computer faster? (Im taking a shot in the dark, but is it the system cache memory?) I dont want to delete files I may need, so if anyone can point me in the right direction, please let me know. I always appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

Also, anytime you Restore, whether just restoring one software or your entire hard drive, make sure and back up all your important files/data/images/audio first BEFORE doing anything. Also, run Disk Utility and Repair Permissions. And lastly, make sure to use the Software Updater to make sure you update to the most recent versions.

Cannot install Windows 7 via Bootcamp?

Hey Guys.
I have a mid 2009 Mac Book Pro. I use OSX Lion, and ran into issues with program compatability with older mac Programs. I then decided to install Windows 7 through Boot Camp so that I can run my older apps, and ran into a problem in the 1/4 of the Windows installer, which says "CD/DVD Driver not detected, please insert a floppy, CD or DVD, or USB with the driver to continue."
I've searched Google and every source on the internet, and I cannot find an alternative to get windows 7 to work.
I have however gotten Windows XP to install, but I cannot use the new bootcamp since it doesn't support XP (Of couse... -.- ) . How can I get my Windows 7 Installation to work.

How can I get the correct drivers to manually install them to get XP working on my mac?

Find the one "Bootcamp" that BCA created. It will be FAT32. Use the Advanced Options in the Windows install step to format it. You did that, then something else going on.
If that is what you did then you have some other drives connected that are GUID more likely.

I can print - the drivers downloaded automatically when I plugged the printer in - but I need the HP Solution Centre Software - I do a lot of scanning and need it for that.
I have still been unable to install the software. It took over a day to download/save the installation file (AIO_CDB_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_140_408), which is supposed to be 412 MB. Only 358 MB downloaded. When I run it, it says file corrupt. I am running windows 8 on a brand new, top of the range Dell How can I get this software to download? Thanks!

Cannot install Envy 4507 printer software

I have got the basic drivers working on Windows 7 for the Printer (when I connect the USB cable it installs drivers for the printer, this is before the HP CD has even been inserted).
When I insert the CD it brings up the menu for the various pieces of software I can install such as the photo software, updater,.....
I ask leave all the software ticked for installations.
The install completes step 1 of the process (the basic device software) but then fails with 'error 2147467259: Failed to find driver packages to install'
I get offered to go online to the HP site to find a solution. This downloads a install package that just starts the loop again (asking wihich software I want, then failing after step 1).
I have unistalled the printer and the driver and repeated many times, always with the same result.
Any help anyone?

Cannot install pybliographer: python-bibtex not found [SOLVED]

I am trying to install an application 'pybliographer'

I downloaded the tarball and untared it. But on running the command 'makepkg -s' I am getting following error:

Actually the problem is not yet fully solved. I tried again the command 'packer-color -S pybliographer' and there is another error:
Dependency `scrollkeeper' of `pybliographer' does not exist.
$ packer-color -S scrollkeeper
Package `scrollkeeper' does not exist.
I searched for scrollkeeper with command 'packer-color -Ss scrollkeeper' and the output was:
extra/rarian 0.8.1-2
Documentation meta-data library, designed as a replacement for Scrollkeeper.
I tried installing rarian, but pybliographer wants only scrollkeeper.
I could easily install and run pybliographer in ubuntu, so apparently the project itself is still viable.

HELP - Cannot install or copy from software installation CD

I try to install an accounting software demo from CD and get the error in the Event Viewer:
The device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block.
I then tried to copy the files and soon got the same error. I can't find information on whether this is an OS problem (Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit), a hardware problem (Satellite E105-S1802) or a problem with the CD. I have no other computer to try this on at the moment and really need to install this software. Any help/guidance would be appreciated. I already ran the Fix-It on the Microsoft Support website, and it found nothing. The driver also seems to be current when I tried to update it from the Device Manager.

CANNOT install Canon MF 4880 software with Windows 7

I am attempting to wirelessly connect my laptop to a Canon MF4880 at my office. The printer, which is an older model, is already connected to the desktop here (Windows XP) and has no problems. The software that came with the printer is not compatible with Windows 7 which I have on my laptop. I have worked on this countless hours and tried everything I can think of.
I thought I found the answer today when I downloaded the Windows 7 drivers from this site (which I have done before) but this time I was prompted to allow them on my Firewall. Still no luck. I got as far as downloading the updated drivers, but when I run the setup, the printer doesn't show up on the network so I can't get further than that.
Could there be an issue with the sharing settings on the desktop?? I don't know what else do do.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Please follow the instructions below to try and add the printer by configuring the port settings:
1. Open the printer folder.
From the [Start] menu, select [Devices and Printers].
2. Right-click the icon for the machine and select [Printer properties] (or [Properties]), then select the MF4800 Series UFRIILT.
3. Click the [Ports] tab.
4. Click [Add Port].
5. Select [Canon MFNP Port] for [Available port types] and click [New Port].
6. Click [Auto Detect].
NOTE
When you cannot perform Auto Detect:
Enter the IP address or MAC address of the machine manually.
7. Select the detected printer and click [Next].
8. Click [Add].
9. Click [Finish].
10. Click [Close].
11. Click [Apply], and then print.
If the error persists, I recommend that you contact us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666). The real time feedback of a live technical support call would be very beneficial in this case.

Whenever i try to update my ipod touch it says halfway through the update that it could not be updated due to some unknown error (6), then it goes into a recovery mode and i have to restore it on anouther computer. How do update my ipod???

I don’t know what you folks did, but not being familiar with your format of asking questions I felt abandoned when I didn’t see anything happening, so after pushing a lot of buttons I closed the window. I re-read all my documentation and tried again to install when all of a sudden a window opened up and said, we will do the install with your ID as is things even reverted back to my original pass word. Everything from then on went on to a successful installation. I could open and watch the tutorials I opened on my new laptop running Maverick 10.9.1. I now have more faith in your support and look forward to mastering elements and moving on to CS. Thank You All again. You made my week-end. Henning

I just got my new imac today with the only mouse I have...the magic mouse. I put my win 7 install DVD in through boot camp and no reception at all. How do I install win 7 without my magic mouse before I can install the drivers for it?

I had the same problem at first and I went and checked the solutions page on this site, their answer is to boot in mac and re-pair your mouse with your system after you have installed your windows bootcamp and it should work. I did that and my magic mouse works just fine in my windows partition. Hope this helps!

Not having a password means that any casual passer-by can have access to all your personal data, or deleting it.
