5610 T-Mobile doesn't allow applications access to...

The exact error I get is, "application access set to not allowed". I downloaded a third party application that attempts to access the internet for information, but my T-Mobile branded phone does not allow it.
What do I need to change in order to fix this problem?

I did try your suggestion and yes the 5610 will start without a sim inserted. Without the sim my browser is still labeled T-Zones, and certain T-Mobile files still existed and couldn't be deleted. I also got the same error when starting a couple of the same applications. No I didn't expect them to work, but I expected an error along the lines of no connection not the same application access not allowed. Honestly I had no doubt that they made changes which is why i have been giving them such a hard time, I was pretty sure I am being lied to. What this definetly tells me is that I could not just take this phone to another network and have it work correctly because that was an option. What it doesn't tell me is if I get a vanilla phone would I still have problems because of what is or perhaps isn't on the sim card? As far as I am concerned though my phone is defective since it does not work as it should, there is a big difference between cosmetic changes for branding and functional changes that alter the way the equipment works. If third party network applications do work on this phone then I would expect them to work on mine, Ya ok I could see T-Mobile disabling them through the sim so that those features can not be used on thier network (stupid but ok they have that right) but not breaking the phone to disable them after all this is now my phone and should I chose to move to a network that permits them (again an option I am considering) they should work since they are supported by the phone.

Firefox mobile doesn't allow to type national symbols with external usb keyboard.

I'm using Asus PadFone with it's native keyboard dock-station. When I try enter text on any text field in web page my keyboard layout is set to english. This doesn't hapen when i write text in Firefox search/url field. Tested with Russian and Lithuanian keyboard layout - it makes no difference. I can write national symbols with on-screen keyboard.
There is no such problems with other browsers, so it's something with Firefox.

Time Capsule doesn't allow to access NTFS external USB Disks

good morning. I've just configured a 2TB Timecapsule, in a wireless network with 2 MACBookPro and 1 windows xp.
A HP HJPro 8500 is connected to TC and is reachable via wireless, thru a Belkin USB port replicator.
two time machine's usb disks are connected thru the same belkin adapter and work fine.
Another two external usb disks, formatted as NTFS, are not visible at all (even if they are, if connected directly to the macs of to the xp.
I've tried to disconnect the TM disks, leaving connected only the two ntfs disks, with no results.
Any idea to solve this issue? i don't expect to have NTFS disks not accessible thru TC.. no manuals mentioned this as a problem..

Your Settings app is crashing. Sometimes, the only way to fix this is by restoring the iOS software but hopefully it will not come to that.
1. Quit the app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
2. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

2630. java applications. Allow network access?

when entering some java application on nokia 2630 ,for example google maps, it asks:
"Allow network access? the application is not from a trusted supplier" for three times. On the fourth time: "try again later or try to install new version".
Some other applications are working allmost properly... but they use to ask every 5-10 seconds the same question: "Allow network access? The application is not..."
And some applications are working correctly. miniopera and jimm.
So, the problem is not in gprs settings.
What can i do with this problem?

You can either try to get hold of a trusted build of the application you want to run or you can change the Application access setting. When you have an application selected, click Option then Application Access and set the Network access Ask first time only.

Please always state your operating system when you have a question. Lion 10.7.2 minimum is required for iCloud; the Preference pane does not appear in earlier systems.

I read up a bit, and i found out that the T-Mobile version has no 3G. That's ok, but are there any differences, between the T-Mobile one and the original one?
Also, as you can clearly see from the picture, the music player is different. Is this just a skin, or is it due to some different software or something?

hello.
i just recently bought a nokia 5610 xpress music phone and i downloaded a game on it.... nothing fancy just solitare and its a java file.....anyway when i try to open it, i get the message saying "application access set to not allowed"...
I tried tweaking every setting i can see and still cant get it to work, i did a soft reset, and still doesnt work..
and its not just that app,, anything i download will not let me access it.
if you can help please do i would greatly appreciate it.

Hi I have been searching hi and low for a solution on this topic but to no avail.
I too own a Nokia 5310 music express with what seems to have some kind of restriction or block on it when it comes to downloading applications that are not pre authorized by my service provider (T-mobile)
these are the apps that I have tried downloading and the error i receive in response

app. Google Maps does download but when I try access it i get

I have tried manually to allow or give permission for each app. but that option is not highlighted or accessible in the option menu for either app.
Ive contacted my service provider and after having to go threw ridiculous trouble shooting procedure like "is your battery in place? is your phone switched on? is your battery fully charged?" etc etc. and educating there tech person, I was directed to nokia.com and told to download the "security settings and updates" specifically for my "nokia 5310 Express music" so I did but to no avail...

I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.5.0 and my application is based on ADF and Webcenter Portal.
Here is the scenario: My application has a home page which contains different regions. The page loads all the regions instead of one which is running with separate thread and taking long time. Now during the execution of long running task, if user wants to navigate to another page by clicking on a command link or goLink then it works on google chrome and IE but doesn't work with Firefox. In case of firefox once it seems to redirecting to desired url for a while but then it redirects back to same page. Surprisingly, It works perfectly once the execution of long running task is finished. So it seems problem with firefox's handling of asynchronous requests. I tried FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().redirect(url) and setting the URL as destination for goLink to navigate. Below is the code for goLink and commandLink:

Jose, your fix to problem 1 allows all access from the outside, assuming you applied the extended list to the outside interface. Try to be more restrictive than an '...ip any any' rule for outside_in connections. For instance, this is what I have for incoming VOIP (access list and nat rules):

nat rule:
nat (inside,outside) source static server interface service voip-range voip-range
- 'server' is a network object *
- 'voip-range' is a service group range
I'd assume you can do something similar here in combination with my earlier comment:
access-list incoming extended permit tcp any any eq 5900
Can you explain your forwarding methodology a little more? I'm by no means an expert on forwarding, but the way I read what you're trying to do is that you have an inbound VNC request coming in on 5900 and you want the firewall to figure out which host the request should go to. Or is it vice-versa, the inbound VNC request can be on port 6001-6004 ?

I just bought this phone today (first Nokia phone) and I'm having a pretty irritating issue with the error message: "Allow application to use network and send or receive data?" This seems to only happen with my Gmail, fring, and eBuddy applications. My other applications (like Opera Mini for instance) will ask only once when the app first starts or not at all.
After a bit of Googling and searching the forum I found out that I can go to Settings>Application Manager>Installed Apps, then click the program and change settings for Access Point and Network Access. Only problem is that for the affected programs the only options under Network access are Ask every time and Not allowed. I've tried closing the open program and trying this, as well as with it open. I've also tried restarting the phone and uninstalling and reinstalling the phone but neither helped. I'm a little stumped and this is a big issue for me since I am planning on using those applications pretty heavily so having to constantly select Yes everytime the program accesses the Internet will be annoying.

No, unfortunately. I did a little more research and apparently the problem is caused by something AT&T did that doesn't allow unsigned apps to change permissions besides the Ask Everytime and Never Allow. And it looks unlikely that the phone will be able to be unlocked or unbranded to change this since it uses different software or something.
Which makes this phone worthless to me (well that, plus some other niggling issues). I'm keeping it until my next paycheck, then taking it back and exchanging for another phone that will do what I want. I'm a little upset at AT&T for crippling this phone like this, and I'm also upset at Nokia for allowing AT&T to cripple the phone so badly.
And scooby, what do you mean by Maps? I use the Google Maps app as well as the Telenav GPS app and neither one has a problem with receiving data. I never get prompts from either program.
