5610 With bad RADIO reception / any signal enhance...

Hello everyone.
I used to have NOKIA 5200
BUT Now i bought the more expensive NOKIA 5610
I'm searching for any kind of help because i have a now weaker radio reception.
i am in the same place, hearing the same radio station, but i hear a lot of interference in the 5610 that is not present when i use the 5200.
Anyone knows if is there any SOFT FOR RADIO ENHANCEMENT or any helpy thing i can do to solve this problem?

I tried everything you said - but it still didn't make any difference. Finally I had to call my service provider and she said I had to enable the QOS setting on my router. All seems to be alright now - so I guess that was it!

1) Use the BADI's CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA & CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA_CS.
CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA -This BADI used to activate the screen group and checks for account group
CUSTOMER_ADD_DATA_CS -This BADI used to include the custom screen.
2)Your code group need to be configure in SPRO before doing the work.

Error code 9006 is related to the computer's security software settings, 39 is not listed inResolve iOS update and restore errors try turning the security/anti-virus software off if you are using something like that. Then you may need to restore via the recovery mode since that is what the graphic of a USB wire connecting to iTunes means, it has already entered recovery mode...see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 for instructions on recovery mode restoring.

I have been using a leather case with a magnetic clasp for months. The only side effect is that I need to recalibrate the compass app when I use it. This is really not a problem since I don't use the compass app very often. I haven't encountered any other interference or problems.

Is my Macbook Pro the only one with lousy wireless reception/coverage

I was expecting great things when i received my Macbook Pro last week. I was also prepared to go through a lot of testing for sound issues and heat, as i've read from so many other posts (my MBP seem to have none of these issues in any major way).
I used to work on my Powerbook G4 from 2005 which had a decent wireless reception (even compared to my wife's ibook G4).
But this macbook has the worst wireless reception i've ever seen! When running istumbler on both machines (PB, and MBP) and placing them side-by-side i'm getting a major difference in signal strength.
This is also basically what i see everywhere else with this MBP.
At the same time the MBP has problems connecting to Closed networks (airport extreme AP) and apparantly also lots of other wireless issues with authentication.
Am i the only experiencing this ?

i read early on that with the new antenna placement
and whatnot that the macbook pro was going to get far
better reception than the older powerbooks. this may
be true, because i've seen some powerbooks get bad
wireless reception, but my macbook pro gets about the
same reception as my iBook G4. which is pretty good,
so i'm not complaining ... i just think the "better
wireless reception" was overhyped. as far as
connection issues and dropping connections, etc.,
i've had no problems so far, and i regularly use my
MBP in 5 different open and closed wireless networks
with different levels of security.

Bad Airport reception and resetting SMC problem

Hi,
I still have the bad Airport reception problem (see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1088230&tstart=0).
I did a complete new erase and install with the discs I got with the computer (10.4.10). When I arrived in the Finder, Airport was completely gone. Nothing to see in the menu bar, nothing in SysPrefs, nothing in System Profiler.
I reset the SMC (shut down, remove power, remove battery, hold power key for 5 secs, install battery, connect to power, boot without pushing any keys). Now I got Airport back, although with the same bad reception.
As a bonus, I now have 2 extra problems:
- when the computer goes to sleep after some idle time, it wakes up again within the second
- rebooting gives me a black screen, no chime, caps key light doesn't work, sleep light is on but not flashing, hard drive is still spinning. Only option: hold the power key for several seconds until it shut downs and boot it again.
And by the way: all this after the Airport card has been replaced!
Any similar experiences, or even better: solutions?

I just received my MBP and I can't believe apple could keep ignoring this serious problem. I have a Dlink router and it works terrific with an old sony vaio but not with my brand new Mac!!! Actually my Airport detect several of the wireless networks around home including mine, but the signal indicator remains gray and the message:"there was an error joining the AirPort network "XXXXX" " is shown. Zen Micro Radio Recept

I have a zen micro, and I have to say I love it. I get almost 4 hours out of the batteries. I have had no problems whatsoever. My only thing is the radio reception. I know that it generally sucks, but I made a discovery last night. With any headphones I used, the reception was bad. When I plugged a Bose headphones extender into it the receptio jumped to almost perfect. It would seem that the reception is directly related to the length of the headphone cord. Has anyone else expireinced this?

I love in vancouver Canada, and im using the stock creative headphones and i so far have had no problem with the radio what so ever. although the sound does become fuzzy if i go into lower levels of the mall but that is just a minor thing to me.

These steps should enable you to find any BADI related to any transaction in a matter of minutes.
Procedure 1:
1) Go to the transaction SE37 to find your function module.
2) Locate the function SXV_GET_CLIF_BY_NAME.
3) Put a breakpoint there.
4) Now open a new session.
5) Go to your transaction. 6) At that time, it will stop this function.
7) Double click on the function field EXIT_NAME.
8) That will give you name of the BADI that is provided in your transaction.
Business Add-Ins
Procedure 2:
1) Goto se24 (Display class cl_exithandler)
2) Double click on the method GET_INSTANCE.
3) Put a break point at Line no.25 (CASE sy-subrc).
4) Now Execute SAP standard transaction
5) Press the required button for which you need to write an exit logic, the execution will stop at the break point.
6) Check the values of variable 'exit_name', it will give you the BADI name called at that time.
7) This way you will find all the BADIs called on click of any button in any transaction
SAP Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) are one of the most important technologies used to adapt SAP software to specific requirements. BAdIs were introduced with Release 4.6 and replace function module exits. This technology is not limited to SAP applications. BAdI calls can be integrated in customer applications. These can then be enhanced by other customer applications. In the various SAP applications, BAdI calls are implemented at places where enhancements are appropriate.Business add-ins are enhancements to the standard version of the system. They can be inserted into the SAP System to accommodate user requirements too specific to be included in the standard delivery. Since specific industries often require special functions, SAP allows you to predefine these points in your software.
In contrast to customer exits, Business Add-Ins no longer assume a two-level infrastructure (SAP and customer solutions), but instead allow for a multi-level system landscape (SAP, country-specific versions, industry solutions, partner, customer, and so on). You can create definitions and implementations of Business Add-Ins at any level of the system landscape.SAP guarantees the upward compatibility of all Business Add-In interfaces. The Business Add-In enhancement technique differentiates between enhancements that can only be implemented once and enhancements that can be used actively by any number of customers at the same time. In addition, Business Add-Ins can be defined according to filter values. This allows you to differentiate between Add-In implementations using the filter Country or other criteria.
The enhancement technique is set up in such a way that it is possible to define interfaces for ABAP soure code, screens, GUI interfaces, and tables. These allow customers to include their own enhancements in the standard. A single Business Add-In contains all of the interfaces necessary to implement a specific task.
BADI is just an object-oriented version of user-exit. Instead of entering program code into some function module (as in customer-exit), you define some class which has to implement predefined methods and those methods are fired at predefined points just like an old user-exit. Some BADI can have multiple independent implementations which is much better for software deployment as several developers can implement the same BADI independently. BADI/UserExists are used to enhance R/3 For customer Needs.
Actually there is no transaction to find when and where the BADI
is called.
1. You can see the BADI description to find why it is called.
2. Once you implemented and activated the BADI, put some break points
in the BADI and see "where else used" option to check in what all
programs this BADI is called. In the ITS debug, when you are doing
the operation what exactly the BADI description tells, it will take
to the break points and you have to do manually debug the whole thing.
I know its bit difficult to do manual debug the whole thing, it
takes lot of time, but you have to be very patience when you are
dealing with BADI's.
Transaction SE18 is the BADI equivalent of transaction SMOD
Transaction SE19 is the BADI equivalent of transaction CMOD .
To find the BADI to be implemented and then implement this via SE19.

I don't have any signal and can't connect to wifi.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Modify fields on screen with BAdI?

Hi,
I want to modify/customize a screen (Shopping Cart in SRM) in a way that some fields are displayed, others not. Some people told me that this might be possible using a BAdI. As I have never worked with BAdI technology before, I hope that somebody here can help me a bit.
- Where do I get good documentation on BAdIs?
- Are there any pre-defined BAdIs for modifying screens or would I have to create a new one?

Hello Verena,
To look for list of Badi, run transaction SE18. Then enter '*' with the dropdown. You can search Badis by the application hierarchy or by Badi name/description. Once you found the correct Badi, run transaction SE19 to create an implementation of the Badi you found using SE18. Are these sound familiar? Yes, SE18 is like transaction SMOD while SE19 is like CMOD in the User exit. Badi is replacing User exit-ie new enhancement developed by SAP should be in terms of Badi. However, this does not means old User exits going away. You still can use user exits provided by SAP.
So when you are searching for enhancement that you can use to intercept SAP standard program, you can search by Badi (SE18) or User exit (SMOD).
Badi or User exit are delivered by SAP for giving customer an opportunities to change a little bit the standard way SAP process. You can't simple create a new BADI, it has to be delivered by SAP. You can implement a Badi given by SAP.

Rendering error message with "Bad TV" effect

Hi Everyone!
I am receiving a error message when rendering: "the effect "bad tv" failed to render: Your hardware cannot render at the requested size and depth"
My computer has been setup to handle the demands of FCP- 2x3 GHz OCTO with 10 GB of RAM. Why is this happening? Does this mean I have to spend $1500 for a graphics card? Rather not...
Here's more info about what I am trying to accomplish:
(Media: DVD imported/exported with MPEG Streamclip to HDV 1080i60.
Sequence settings: HDV 1080i60) I have my reasons for setting my edit up this way I promise!
Editing for a commercial with some poor footage from 4th Gen. DVD. Instead of trying to make the video look the best, I've decided to go the other way and to make it look worse with Bad TV effect. I have layered 6 files of the DVD to create ghost or duplicate images both on the right and left side of the original footage to take the eye away from the crappy copied DVD footage. When I tried to render out the footage the error message comes up each time.

I think your confusion is based on the fact that you are interchanging the graphics card, and a video capture card. They are not the same thing.
The graphics card or display card is the piece of hardware that drives your monitor. It's also used to enhance graphic programs like Photoshop, Motion, etc. It's also what is used to render the cool 3D graphics of games like Halo, and Call of Duty. A good one with an 8K texture limit is around $225 or so.
A video capture card is a piece of hardware that allows you to capture full frame SD and HD (depending on the card) through an SDI or other cable. It is a way to capture the video signal as opposed to the video file (as Firewire does). These cards can also send full res signals out to a deck or broadcast monitor.
As far as your gfx card goes, I think the 2600 is a 4K texture limit. Buying the ATI 3870 or 4870 (if your computer is compatible) will give you an 8K texture limit.
To send full resolution HD out to a deck or monitor, you will need a capture card. Firewire is typically used to export DV DVCProHD or HDV. There are products out there that use firewire to IN/OUT other formats such as ProRes, but it's still a piece of hardware you have to buy. MOTU has a product like that. AJA has the IO that uses a firewire connection. There are others as well.

Just a few quirks with MSI-Radio...

Well, I just lost my stereo reciever...Looks like I'll be forced to turn to headphones and MSI-Radio
First of all, the signal bar is fine grandour except that it sucks...Sometimes it shows no signal and sounds fine. Whats up with that?
Second, more importantly...I close MSI Radio, and it won't shut up...For some reason it refuses to cut the signal when closing it (Maybe I'll just be forced to manually unplug it from the back of comp)
Third, some idiot installed ad-ware on my comp!!! #$@#!!! "Ad-aware" doesn't seem to detect it and "spy-bot search and destroy" detects Hot-bar but can't remove it...What to do...

#2 is about the only one I can offer any advice on. First of all, I'd go to Download -> Multimedia -> TV@nywhere Master and make sure that I had the latest version of the TV@nywhere Master Driver and MSI Radio.
Secondly, you could probably silence MSI Radio by opening the Windows volume control (or whatever it's called in your version of windows) and muting whatever input you're using to feed sound from the TV@nywhere Master to your sound card. On my system MSI Radio will actually un-mute Line In when I run it and re-mute when I exit.
Thirdly, when MSI Radio does misbehave and not shut up on exit, I can usually get it to hush by running and then exiting MSI PVS aka WinDVR.
Fourthly, I've noticed that my MSI Radio only fails to shut up if I click the Settings button while it is running. Once I get the settings set, it doesn't give my any more problems as long as I can resist doublechecking my settings.
Correction: one problem. It always mutes my master recording balance when it runs, meaning that anything I record with MSI Radio or PVS will be nothing but silence. I have no idea what that's about.

Zen micro radio reception & headpho

Quick question for anyone. I currently have the Zen micro & I am looking to get a new pair of headphones. The one that came with it don't really fit my ears! I had heard at one time (I thought) that the headphones that came with it have the antenna built into for the radio reception. Is this true or false? If it's true do all of Creative's headphones have the antenna built into it's If not, will any headphones due?

Internet Radio Stops-- any ideas?

I see a few others have posted questions like this. I know sometimes posts get lost in the pile so I'll try again.
My Apple TV (2nd gen) works just fine with music from my library.
But with Internet radio I often have the music stop or sometimes it skips down the list and plays the next preset station. I only listen to CBC radio so I'm not sure if it happens with other stations.
When I listen on my computer the signal seems fine.
My internet connection seems strong and my WIFI signal seems fine too and works with other stuff. My router and Apple TV aren't in the same room but I'm in a pretty small place and the walls between are basic drywall not load bearing.
I wonder if the Apple TV is "too sensitive" to little hiccups in the CBC Internet feeds or if there might be some other suggestion.

It will jump to the next station on the list if it loses the stream from the one it was playing. That could happen as a result of a network interruption somewhere or an overloaded radio station. If it happens with only one station, it's probably the station. If it happens with different stations you could have a network issue either on your LAN or with your ISP.
