5800 - cannot speed dial and dial from handsfree c...

I verified the following behaviour of the new 5800 which seems to me to be a bug, because it works on other nokia series 60 phones:
Because I synchronize my phonebook with MS Outlook, phone numbers have the syntax "+43 (1) 9876543". These phonebook entries can be dialed without problems when I call using the phonebook.
But if I use the speed dialing feature (press and hold e.g. key "2" ), I get the message "Nicht gestattet" (German, means "not allowed" ), and the number is not dialed. If I delete the spaces and the brackets, dialing is possible without problems.
The same behaviour can be seen if I try to dial from my built in handsfree set in my car with numbers as described above.
Before the 5800 I used a E65 and a 6120c, there the syntax described above worked without problems.
Software: v11.0.008.red.01

Sorry, this is no fix, this is a workaround. It is clear, that this will avoid the problems. But PIMs like MS Outlook create phone numbers in this format; after synchronization with my phone, there are spaces in all of the phone numbers. Therefore I suggest, Nokia implements this like for all other S60v3 phones. This would be the only fix. Regards, Thomas.

How did the photos/albums get onto the phone ?
Only photos taken with the iPhone or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the phone - either via the trashcan icon at the bottom right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it top right in thumbnail view. Albums that you've created directly on the phone can be deleted via the Edit button at the top right of the album selection screen.
Photos/albums that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from on your computer and then re-syncing

I syced Itunes music and photos to my Ipad. Have replaced PC with new Imac, but cannot sync music and photos from Ipad to Imac(previous sync) Is there a way around this without loosing items on Ipad

You need to transfer your iTunes library and your photos from your PC to your Mac along with all other important data from your PC that you will want or need to access on your Mac - no different when switching from one computer to another under any circumstances.

Cannot update iMovie and iPhoto from Apple Store using Mountain Lion

Hi,
Everytime I try and update iMovie and iPhoto from the App Store I get an "an error has occured" followed by a "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (20)." I tried to download the update from the apple website, but much to my chagrin I was told "The version of iPhoto installed on this Mac must be updated through the Mac App Store. Check the Mac App Store to see if an update is available."

Could you tell more about what happens when the camcorder is connected to the computer? Is it being recognized by the computer itself? What software are you using to import your files? Have you tried using other computers?
When the camcorder is turned on and connected properly to the computer, the LCD display of the camera should display USB connected. Please make sure that the USB connect setting of the camera is set to MTP/PTP. We recommend using the PlayMemories Home software for easier import and editing of pictures and videos.
But if the computer doesn't recognized the camera, we suggest trying other USB ports of the computer and disconnect any devices, aside from the keyboard and mouse, from the PC. We'd also suggest trying i on other computers. If it doesn't have any issues connecting to other devices. Then we suggest contacting your computer manufacturer for further assistance.

I am based in South Africa, and it seems like we cannot purchase any music or movies from itunes. Apparently it is not supported by our itunes store, what ever that might mean. Unfortunately the staff in all of the i-shops in South Africa are pretty much unhelpfull, unlike the service i received while in the US. Any suggestions on how to by-pass this seemingly boycot of the South African users?

To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store. Basically all you have access to would be anything offered in South Africa unless you move to a different country.
It's the media owners who get to tell Apple where and where they cannot sell their media. I'm sure Apple would be happy to take your money but if the media companies are not happy then they can say no to sales in SA.
Even if there were a way to bypass this we certainly couldn't tell you on this forum because it would violate the Terms of use of this web site and get the whole topic removed.

Can you connect to Mail and App store?
If not, try this.
    Deselect Proxies if selected.
   System Preference > Network > Advanced > Proxies Tab
   Under "Select Protocol", uncheck any box if selected.
   Click "OK" then "Apply"

Cannot Remove Username and Password from Mail settings in WebLogic for 11g

I have changed my mail server settings in EM->BI->Coreapplication->deployments->mail from an SMTP server using authentication to one without. However, when I try to remove the username and password, then hit apply and activate changes, the UN and PW re-appear. Is there another place where I can force these items to be blank?

I found the mbean "BIDomain.BIInstance.EmailConfiguration" that contains an operation to change the credentials. I'm guessing this is what the EM setting is using. Unfortunately, the change credentials operation doesn't allow blanks for UN and PW. This is probably why the EM can't reset it. Does anyone know how I can reset the MBean?

Hello evanbn. I can help you with figuring out how to view your pics and music. Have you attempted to connect your device to your PC and view the files? Were you ever able to view your pics and music on your phone using your SD Card?
If you are unable able to view the files on your PC or your phone the SD Card could be corrupted or the files could have been erased. Do you recall re-formatting the SD Card? This erases all saved data. I hope this information helps!

Cannot print name and company from address book...

When you choose to show and sort by COMPANY in address book, though there is also a person in the entry, only the company shows when you print using Mac's print options.
If the PERSON is shown and sorted on, then the COMPANY can also appear. But not other way around.
Is there a 3rd party software that gets by this?
I'm switching from PC, and this is the sort of nonsense I thought I was leaving.

Read the info about setting up and it should do most things but it is really for envelopes not labels but I think labels could be done with a bit of thought

After downloading Lion, I could not import emails and folder structure from Outlook for Mac 2011.

You're in luck, Imap and Exchange accounts store their data on the server.
Leave Outlook alone, just add the accounts to Mail and let them synchronize, no import required. You can leave them in Outlook or remove them as you please once everything in Mail is done.

Cannot transfer videos and Photos from Iphone 3GS to my PC or MacBook

I have an Iphone 3G and my wife has a 3GS. On the 3G Windows XP or my MacBook will see the iphone as a camera. But on the 3GS neither OS will see the iphone as a camera. They both just open Itunes

not that easy - but I did it! You need Adobe Photo Shop or as they say Adobe Photo Elements. Get started Adobe Photo Shop and klick on the Menu "File" / Import / via iPhone....

I did try to download Firefox again, but still will not work.

Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
