5800 problem after updating to new firmware

When, I first bought my phone the icon on the phone were all unbranded but I did a firmware update and they've all been replaced by t-mobile ones. eg the internet icon has now become "web 'n' walk". How do I get the old unbranded icons back?

Because once its released, and sent to the operators, the operators want to do and add some personalizations of their own, which could take time given the fact that the firmware is already stable and ready for use. The operator firmware after modding would go through another series of stability tests (AFAIK) which lengthens the process, not to mention depending on what the operator wants to add or remove from the feature list. Which means that the operators whims take a lot of time to add.

5800 Problem after Updating

My 5800 seems to have developed some sort of problem where it won't connect to the internet (either via Wi-Fi or Orange Internet) - this only seems to have happened since I updated the latest firmware last night (V 21.0.025)
To clarify, when using an application (ie BBC iPlayer or AccuWeather); the application requests to connect to the internet, I allow this either via Wi-Fi or Orange Internet and it begins to open, then the application closes itself. Likewise if trying to use the Internet application itself - it requests to connect, then closes.
Anyone help with this?

Same problem here, only I just found out when I connect my phone to my laptop and use ovi to connect my laptop to the internet THROUGH my 5800, it will connect! And yes, I closed off al other connections. So I'm guessing my configuration is ok on that mather.
So someone please tell me what's going on?

Big problems with updating the new Firmware to my Zen To

Hi, I'm new and not sure, if this problem has occured to other users too.
I wanted to update my Zen Touch. I'm trying this now for over month. My Zen Touch had to been send to Creative two times already and as it looks now, I will have to send it to them for a third time.
Everytime I start the firmware update, the Zen touch crashes and is not recognized by the PC anymore. No way, to fix it from here. I have tried the AutoUpDate option and the manual one. Both with the same result.
Last time I send the Zen Touch to Creative I have asked them, if they couldn't install the new firmware, before sending it back to me. Unfortunatly they didn't and now I have the same problem again.
It dri'ves my crazy! I would like to have the newest firmware, but obviously I cannot get it installed from my PC.
Did anybody of you have this problem too? Or does anybody know a way to solve the problem. I don't want to send it back in. I already couldn't use it now for 4 or 6 weeks. I'm realy pretty angry.

Are you trying to install the v2 PlayForSure firmware?
Ordinarily the process should work unless there is some connection issue with your PC. You might want to try the process on another suitably specced PC, but it depends what state your player is in now.

Problem after updating to new iTunes

Hello after updating to the new iTunes i got a box saying that i needed a new version of Apple Mobile Device Support and ihat i should uninstall iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Support then install iTunes again.
I have uninstalled iTunes but am not able to uninstall AMDS, it starts the uninstall process then reverses it.

No, there is no error message displayed. A box appears and the progress bar commences for about 10 secs then stops and reverses and disappears.

5800 problem after update

Hi guys, im new to this forum,
recently i've been having a lot of problems with my fone,
first of all it was running really slow,
now all of a sudden it wont let me create, reply or send new messages..ive done a hard reset (green,red and camera buttons) wiped everything and even removed my memory card, after doing this it was working ok until last night, all of a sudden it keeps poppin up when on the home screen "system error" so i press ok and it goes away, but yet again i cannot create,reply or send new messages...really annoying!
Ive updated the software to the v40 i think it is, and i do like it, but i just dont know what to do about this situation...
could someone please shine some light on this,

5800 PROBLEM AFTER UPDATE HELP!!

I updated my 5800 Xpressmusic to v40.0.005.C03.01. Everything seemed to be ok until I needed to send a message, when I realised that the full-screen keyboard was not an option for entering letters!! HOW CAN I BRING IT BACK??

Unsolved problem after updating c6-00 firmware to ...

Please take note that the "camera still in use" problem is still occuring.

@funk - Where did you get the info that the C6 has 512 Mb RAM? The largest RAM any existing Nokia phone has (discounting the MeeGo running N9 and N950) is 256Mb for the S^3 units. The C6-00 has 128mb RAM, and so does the 5800.Any system manager app would tell you that, as well as official specs from Nokia and cellphone review sites.

Problem after update to new ATI driver for FireGL 5250 on T60P / XP

I have updated the above incl. the Catalyst software from the Lenove download site. However, I now get a message at startup something like:
The file or assembly 'MOM.implementation Version 2.0.3236.39115, Culture = neutral, Publicity token = 906a96 or one of
it's dependants. File not found.
Any solution to this ?

White screen problem after updating to 1.1 firmware

My 2G iPod Nano worked fine with 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 firmware but after updating to 1.1 I get white screen everytime I turn it on after longer period of time. Turning the iPod off and then right back on makes it work again. I have done restore 3 times without effect. I even removed the firmware files so that iTunes downloads them again when doing the restore but that didn't work either.
Should I return it or wait for new firmware? Has anyone else had this problem after updating to 1.1?

Disconnect iPod and close iTunes.
Firmware files are in "Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates" folder.
You should still have the 1.0.2 files named "iPod_19.1.0.2.ipsw" and "iPod_19.1.0.2.ipsw.signature" in there if have you upgraded from 1.0.1 version.
Remove 1.1 files from the folder so that only those to files are in there.
Disconnect from network (I switched off my wlan) so that iTunes can't download the new version. Connect your iPod and do Restore, iTunes will now use the old firmware files because it can't connect to the internet.

I have Imac isight 20inch. After the imac update the new firmware, the apple screen is black. Althought, I can hear the sound of fan working, the white ligh, but nothing is on screen. Anybody know about that problem? Any solution will be appreciate!

Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library' and start.

Trouble after updating the lastest firmware 2.7 for mac ox 10.7.3

I had updated 10.7.3 for a couple of week and then I installed new firmware by "software update" 2.7. Before I updated new firmware, "OS X Lion" in Appstore was "Installed", after I install new firmware, it did not "Installed" any more and show me the cost ($29.99). I dont know why and I try to click on it. Suddenly, the Appstore begin to download OS X 10.7.3 again while I'm using this version!!!
Please help me Apple is coming to release "Mountain Lion".I don't want to buy "Lion" again and waste $29.99

Actually, it looks like your install did not go well. On a G5, 10.3.9, we have no such errors. Among the things to watch for: incomplete downloads; make sure you are not installing as root user. I found the following information that helped me.....
Program errors occur when software conflicts arise due to an updated operating system. You can resolve these errors when you also update the driver software that causes the conflict or when you update the operating system. Program errors can also occur because of a damaged Photoshop preference file, or if there is a problem with a phone or internet connection. The Apple Disk Utility fixes file system errors that can also cause program errors.
Error "Could not complete your request..." or "Could not create a new document..." (Photoshop CS2 on Mac OS X v10.4)
Issue
Adobe Photoshop CS2 returns one of the following error messages:
"Could not complete your request because of a program error" when you try to open a file.
"Could not create a new document because of a program error" when you try to create a new file.
Solution 1:
Install the most recent update to Mac OS.
Solution 2:
Re-create your preferences files.
1. Hold CommandOptionShift when you start Photoshop.
2. Click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
Solution 3:
Disconnect your Internet connection.
To disconnect your Internet connection, do one of the following:
If you are connected to the Internet via a telephone modem, then disconnect from the modem.
If you are connected to the Internet via cable modem or DSL, then disconnect the ethernet cable from your computer.
Solution 4:
Use a disk repair utility.

The one that fixed it for me was solution 6 -- re-creating my printers
I don't know why but it could be worth a try
