5800 Shortcuts Bar home screen shows no calendar i...

Hi,
My 5800's shortcuts home screen suddenly stopped displaying calender items. It used to show till yesterday when I downloaded the latest nokia PC suite and tried to sync my PC with 5800 via bluetooth. I even tried to get factory seetings. But it is asking for a lock code and I have no idea what it means. Any help is more than welcome..

Ok, this is how I solved it:
Back-up (I backed up to my memory card, I back up automatically at 4 am). After I did that, transferred al pictures and videos to my pc through USB.
And a hard reset (*#7370# if I recall correct). After that I recovered what I backed-up, and that's it! It was fixed, still had my apps etc.
Not the perfect solution, but it works.

almost.. X6 also has a similar homescreen.. Only the background image is different.. N97 has a different homescreen though.. Other s60v5 cheaper than 5800 have the same homescreen layout..
U can checkout the nokia sites and see the other phones..
The 5800 had a different homescreen that u'l see in most advertisement on the web, etc.. This new homescreen came with the new firmware update of v40. The present version is v52.

E72 Application shortcuts and home screen applicat...

Hey guys,
I`ve got a weird issue on my E72.
Whichever theme I use,the application shortcuts and home screen shortcuts(wifi search,calendar,chatsetup...etc) are keep highlighted
on homescreen.
I installed ovi store update and polar lotus screensaver from ovi store yesterday.
Since then my theme has changed and the two type of the shortcuts on my homescreen
remain highlighted,whatever I do with them.
I uninstalled the polar lotus scrsv.
I tried all of my themes and default ones,but same everywhere.
I use a black and blue(neon) blue theme.
It used to look like full black screen and blue icons,the name of the apps,and shortcuts also written by blue.
Now the apps shortcuts on the top and also the home screen apps are highlighted with light brown.
I guess the polar lotus scrsv has left some files or configurations after itself,and keeps effecting
the display or themes.
I tried to uninstall and install again all of the themes,but still no luck.
Has anyone experienced something like this before?
Any idea to get back the normal lookout of the themes wtihout highlighting anything(unless the theme contains highlighting functions)?

Could you guys try this blue and black theme by Mr Jorik, to check you also got light brown highlighted app.shortcuts on homescreen,or yours full black screen nothing highlighted?!

ToDo shortcut on Home Screen

i am a big fan of todo lists
and i just got my new n79. I was dissapointed to see that i couldn't get a shortcut for the nokia todo app on my home screen. is there a way to do that?

If you use active standby you should have the to-do displayed along with the calendar entries. Though if your phone has the same os as my n85 it is a little disappointing in that the to-do list is nor incorporated with calendar entries as one short-cut rather than 2 short-cuts on the standby screen as was the case withthe n95. Also the to-do list now shows the individual entries on display, not clever in my opinion as i dont want the world to know my private information.

N8 Problem: Cannot add shortcuts to home screen

Hi, has anyone experienced this problem before? When I try adding any shortcut to the home screen, it shows a "running circle" icon on the home screen. Looks like it's loading, but it's just like that forever. This happens to all available shortcuts and most of the widgets except for Clocks and Map Apps.
My phone is updated to the latest Belle.

Having this issue again after I thought I solved it by soft reset but all my shortcuts in my only home screen are just loading and loading and they never work!

How to add a shortcut to home screen of iphone 5s

I would like to add a shortcut to my home screen. Specifically, I would like a shortcut to my voicemail and a shortcut to call my guy.

You can't add a shortcut to a function within an app (voicemail is part of the Phone app). There are 3rd party apps that can call specific phone numbers, however. Search the app store. You can also add shortcuts to web pages.
Have you added the numbers you call frequently to the Favorites page in the phone app? With that you can call a number with 3 taps (Phone, Favorites, Name). And voicemail is only 2 taps (Phone, Voicemail).

Deleting shortcuts from home screen

I picked up the 16g 3g yesterday and added a shortcut from a Yahoo page to my home screen. This may be a stupid question but can anyone tell me how to remove this shortcut from my home screen?

press one of the icons till they start wiggling then tap the one you want deleted. to stop the wiggling hit the home button.

Bookmarks as a shortcut on home screen

I have set Bookmarked links as shortcuts on one of my N8 home screens and they display just as WWW globe icons. Is there any way for them to display the text of what the link is, eg BBC News or National Rail etc.

Delete web shortcuts on home screen

How do i delete web shortcuts that i have put on my home screen. Went in to itunes and moved the shortcut into the trash, but after syncing it still appears on the home screen.

* Tap the shortcut and hold your finger on the screen until the icons start to shake.
* Tap the "X" icon on the shortcut.
* Confirm that you want to delete the shortcut.
* When the shortcut is gone, tap the iPhone’s home button to stop the icons shaking.

After updating to ios 7.1 on my iphone 5 the home screen shows that my data is being used.

And the next moment i go to settings or any other app the loading sign disappears. It appears only when im on the home screen. Please help

My problem exactly! With Iphone 4! The updated phone will not connect, the other Iphone 4 not running this latest update works fine! Come on Apple!! Need a fix yesterday!

SAP MII Home Screen Shows Blank!!?

We installed SAP MII 15.0 with MII Components (MII_ADMIN & XMII) on SAP NW 7.31 SP13 which is compatible version for SAP MII15.0.
After completion of SAP MII15.0 on NW platform we try to login into MII using the url: http://<hostname>:<port>/XMII -> it shows login page, after logging into the page its automatically route to the url : http://<hostname>:<port>/XMII/goService.jsp but this shows a blank page and again it route to the another url: http://<hostname>:<port>/XMII/Illuminator?service=Personalization&sniffer=Unknown,1.0,600,800 its also showing same blank page!!
If we try to login using http://<hostname>:<port>/XMII/Menu.jsp its showing MII Admin menu.
Anyone please help me get out of this error and run the application smooth!!

Home screen 5230

Hi everybody. I ha ve a question/problem. I set my home screen theme to "Shortcuts bar" and i try to see the five bars that appears In the "home screen" adjust menu. I mark the 5 options but in the home screen only appears the "Shortcuts bar" and the "Search" bar. I can't see the "Music player", "Radio" and "Calendar" bars. Somebody knows why?

music player and radio appears when you play music or turn on radio only (( without control buttons ))
calendar appears when there's near appointment or birthday
search, it appears usually .. (( doesn't disappear ))

[e72] calendar missing in Home Screen !!!

Once the meeting had started for 1 hour, the meeting appointment in home screen will disappear !!!
Is it what it should be ???
Example: Test Meeting 9.00 - 12.00
Time 8.20 Calendar in Home Screen will display Test Meeting 9.00 - 12.00
Time 9.20 Calendar in Home Screen will display Test Meeting 9.00 - 12.00
Time 10.20 Calendar in Home Screen will display (nothing)
Time 11.20 Calendar in Home Screen will display (nothing)
Any one please advise, especially Nokia representatives !!!

Hi,
AFAIK that's the usual way on all S60 phones (though I could be wrong on that for older phones).
The home screen shows the meeting for 1 hour. Then it shows either the next meeting or the text "No more entries today". compared to the text "No calendar entries today" if you do not have any meetings for this specific day.
BTW, you will probably not get any response from Nokia here as this is a user to user forum.

Home screen Mail notifier does not show the newest...

N86 8MP, I use Gmail for my provider. The home screen shows mail 2 weeks old, even when a new message arrives. I patiently waited for V20.115 to come out as people had suggested this bug would be resolved. I updated firmware to 20.115 and reformatted the phone and loaded all my software from scratch rather from the backup, the the problem still exists.

I also have got N86 8MP and I noticed the same behaviour afrer V20.115 update. I got another problem with my mail reading as well. I'm connecting to Microsoft exchange server and I am not able to view the content of my emails anymore. I can see all mail headers and attachements but once the client (Mail for exchange) tries to read the message body it displays the following error: "Security policy that allows downloading HTML messages is disabled". Dang, I wish I could easily revert back to earlier firmware...

Email Notification on Home Screen

Hi everyone, todays N97 problem appears to be as follows..........
After going through half a dozen email clients i finally went back to the default one installed in the phone and for the past 4 days i have been using it without any problems what so ever. Today though, after recieving a new email, i retrieved it from my inbox, read it and deleted it (phone memory) as i have done previous days. Todays problem seems to be that the new email notification on the home screen is still there after deleting the last new email. Even after i mark all the emails in my inbox and delete them and then re-connect to my inbox they appear again, this has only started to happen as of today.
Ive seen in other forum posts that this cant be de-activated? How can this be the case if i have been using the client for 4 days and im only having this problem now? Its a notification, so technically of course it can be removed or stopped.
Please please please help with this solution, the only one i can find at the moment is switching the handset on and off which isnt a solution what so ever.

exactly.. This was very unwelcome.. I undrstand the contact bar widget has limited space to put everythin we want.. But in shortcut bar home theme y did they remove email notification.. Tht was very unwise..
Moreover we should be able to choose what we'd need on the home screen.
Moreover the Contacts bar home screen widget takes an awful amount of RAM! Abt 5-6MB i guess.. Lets see what v60, as rumored, has to offer..
