5800 sms timer not working

hello,
i have a 5800 and have installed the sms timer...it was working fine...till ysterday when all of a sudden its stopped working...i have no idea why...i tried uninstalling and reinstalling and switching off and on...no use...can anyone help pls...

U have use a 3rd party application am i right? Some Nokia devices with firmware v31 have alarm timeframe errors / bugs, but im not sure on the SMS timer yet, can u elaborate issit sometimes happening the issue or always?

Droid Razr Maxx HD Data & SMS does NOT work in South Korea

If you are going to South Korea this phone only operates as a "dumb phone" for phone calls ONLY. Data & SMS does not work at all. I contacted Global Support daily for one week with no resolution! I received conflicting information with 2 support folks telling me that the fix was to do a factory reset. So I reluctantly did this and it did not fix anything. It only wasted my time especially re-installing all my apps, etc. Then 4 support folks told me that you should never do this out of the country!! Anyway the last person i spoke to which was a network technician was very honest. He told me that I was "SOL" and he had no idea how to fix this problem. He said that he would have to get some teams together to try to fix the problem. And I was told that I would receive an email with an update. And of course I have not received any email of correspondence from Verizon. Very frustrating...

I found a solution. Okay so with the most recent update Verizon made the switch from sending text messages over their 1x network and moved them to their LTE (and possibly 3g) network, hence the reason they are sending so much faster. Today I was in a classroom that is underground and has terrible reception and noticed that I was getting delivery reports again but that my texts were sending slower, like they used to. I dug around in the phones programing menu and found a new option call "MO SMS over IMS" and it was enabled. Disabling it switches your texts back onto the old 1x network. So if you choose to make the switch, your delivery reports will come back but sending will go back to being a little slower. To get to this menu open up your dialer and type in ##7764726. Next hit send and when prompted with a password type in 000000 and hit verify. Scroll down to SMS/MMS settings and select it. Next scroll to the bottom, select "MO SMS over IMS", and disable it. Now your good delivery reports back!

Probably only thing that you can try is three keys depressed RED, GREEN & CAMERA whilst powering on until Nokia "Shaking hands" logo appears, note all data would be erased.

Ichat - getting started for first time NOT Working ..please help

I opened the Ichat application for th every first time today. When I open the app a box pops up and asks you to enter your user name and password and with which type of account you want to log in with, etc. First, I chose my mobile me account ( I also have a mac.com account and teh same thing I am going to describe happens with it as well for it is not an apple id dependent problem). I do so and click continue. The next screen comes up in the box and it is titled " encrypted ". Then in the box it says you are now ready to use ichat" . At the bottom of the box it says click done to begin using ichat.
Thus, is my problem. There is no "done" option to click on. The only button options to click on are: "learn more" , "go back" or "continue" . If I click "continue" nothing happens and I cannot do anything or begin using ichat. If I like "learn more" nothing happes at all - thus, the same result as clicking "continue". If I click back it will goto the previous screens but nothing changes.
Has anyone experienced this before? It seems strange and odd for an apple software to be so deleterious. How do i fix it so I can use iChat?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Jenna

Unfortunately although very rare some people do find that iChat does this.
Do this first.
Open your Home Folder (Little House icon)
Go to the Preferences Folder within and then find all the com.apple.iChat(xxx).plist items and delete them.
Try iChat again.
You should see several Start Up Screens.
1) A Welcome Screen.
2) A Valid AIM name (Includes options for MobileMe and @mac.com as well as AIM) plus confirming your Name (Your name maybe Prefilled from the Address Book)
3) the Bonjour Enable (or not) screen.
4) The Jabber option (Includes GoogleTalk) This Screen includes options to change Server Names and Ports under the text fields for the Jabber ID.
5) A Video Preview pane. (You can use this to take a Snapshot for your Buddy Pic)
6) a Details of Accounts you have set up screen.
7) the Done Screen.

If this does not work we may have to get you to Reinstall iChat.
How much work this entails depends how far your OS has been updated above the Install Disk Level.
Could you tell me what OS version the Install Disk is (What came on your Computer when new) ?
And what OS level you are currently using ?

"Show my windows and tabs from last time" not working, Mac OS 10.6.4, FF 3.8.10 or FF 4 Beta 6

I have tried any number of times to get this to work, but it's still not working. On my other Mac with OS 10.6.4 and FF 3.6.8/10 the "show my windows and tabs from last time" is working just fine.
I have checked some of the settings in about:config per some of the other forum posts with resolution to this issue, but this hasn't worked for me. Especially Since some settings have changed in the more recent versions of FF.
I'm pretty sure my settings are correct. Is anyone else having this same issue?
On the Mac exhibiting the issue it prompts me if I want to close all open tabs when the red X is clicked, when I quit firefox it keeps my tabs open just fine when firefox starts up the next time. This is normal behavior, but when the feature in question is active it overrides this behavior, on my other mac, and just stores my last session so that when I open firefox all is as it was before it was closed (either closing it via quit or with the red X will do the trick).
On my new mac, the prompt to close open tabs never goes away and my tabs just vanish, whichever way I close firefox.

If you use [[Clear Recent History]] in Firefox 3.5 and later to clear the 'Browsing History' when you close Firefox then restoring tabs from the last session ("Save & Quit" or "Show my windows and tabs from last time") doesn't work.

TS2755 I living in Israel using Hot Mobile an 3.9G network, transferred my old number from another carrier and for some reason the imessage / face-time not working anymore even restore not helped, it stuck on "waiting for activation" please help

after somthing the transfer like 24 later hours they transfered my old number from another carrier witch is 054-xxxxxx
and now not working.
called my carrier and they has no idea how to fix that.

I keep getting "waiting for activation" on my iMessage. I can only send/receive iMessage from my email address, NOT my phone number.
I have done all kind of fixing suggestions that I can find online, but nothing works so far.
- Date & time set as automatic (I don't know why this matter, but mine was already set as automatic from the begining)
- Reset network setting
- Changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8.
- Restore to factory setting (from back up & as new iPhone)
- Turning on/off iMessage & facetime
- Sign out/in of apple ID
- Change location from apple ID
- Hard reset/reboot
And many others.
...me too. I'm in Portugal having the same issue!! Hopefuly Apple will give us a solution, shortly...

Face time not working in egypt

I bought two iPhone 4 one from apple store in Paris n the other from Vodafone in Egypt and the one from Egypt have face time but is not activating so does anyone know how to activate it although my Paris iPhone is activating face time automatically n it is working fine

Guys I have just contacted the apple support and i have a little chat with them regarding this issue as i have the same question, my case is i have bought iPhone 6 plus from the UAE apple store and for sure there is no FaceTime application or even FaceTime in the settings as they are disabling this feature in UAE, However i will use this i phone in Egypt which they are enabling this feature in Egypt as i have another i phone with Egypt Sim Card and it works fine so i asked them i want to use the iPhone 6 that i have just bought in Egypt and enabling the FaceTime is that possible ? and they replied with if my country are not denying using FaceTime and iMessage thew will work fine. as they are disabling this function by location only, so once i will be in Egypt i have to restore my phone and it will relocate my location Automatically and the FaceTime and the iMessage will work then as long as my carrier provider is allowing this function.
and actually that make sense as i never heard before anyone here in Egypt has iPhone with no FaceTime feature am always hearing this in UAE and KSA.
I searched a lot online for answer for this question and i always find " it will not work " or "it disabled you can't enable it" and i really get disappointed for those answers as i payed a lot for this phone, so i guarantee to you that it will works in your phone as long as you are not in the districted country, and if you don't believe me you contact the Apple support by yourself.

The problem now has changed. I just realized that if the bluetooth is not working and I put the pc to sleep when I start it again in most of the times the problem is gone, it may start working right away or even some seconds after it left the sleep mode. I tried checking it a few times and it happened 4 out of 5 times I tried. But after the Bluetooth starts working again if I turn the computer off (shut down) and turn it back on later or even if I restart the laptop, then the problem starts happening all over again, until I put it to sleep and turn it on from spleep mode. This problem is really weird to me.
I am thinking that maybe there is some feature in the windows 8 that is not allowing the bluetooth to start when the computer starts from shut down or from restart, but that doesn't block the bluetooth when it is put to sleep.
Does anybody has any idea of what is going on and how to solve it?

Thank you for posting such detailed note of your issue and the steps to resolve it. My imessages have not been working since this morning either and I have Verizon. I wonder if this issue is carrier specific because my friend who is on AT&T is not having any problems. It started for me on April 9th first but resolved on its own but today it is still not working for me. To have FaceTime running all devices should have IOS 7.1.1 or IOS 6.1.6 for older devices.

5800 music library not working..

my 5800's music library is not working anymore and it cant play mp3 and other sound files.. but when i remove the memory card..it can play the sounds..also my picture editor is not working..
in my memory card..i found many folders namely _PAlbTN..is it a virus??
do I need to reformat my memory card?
and what do i haveto copy on my pc when i format it?
just the mp3 videos and pictures? or do I have to copy also the folders like private, sys, etc?

That is a thumbnail file.
You can format the card if you want, but that would also bring problems on the apps if you do not uninstall them first as your phone will read then as not uninstalled properly and you wont be able to download them again from Ovi Store. So when you format it, just copy your own files (music, pictures, etc) and leave everything else alone.
How exactly does your music player not work anymore. Has it stopped showing songs? Cant it refresh?

Face time not working on my mac but it works on my iPad and iphone

Face time is not working on my mac computer, but it is working on my ipad and iphone. what can and should i do?
On another note, my iphone is not receiving the incoming receipts messages i sent on my mac. when i do send messages on my mac i receive them on my phone just dont receive theirs on my phone.

Made video's on my iphone and loaded them to my imac. Video did not work in iphoto. No Quick time pop up. what happened? Snow leopard install.

You need to re-install iPhoto because it's missing bits of itself:
Library not loaded...
Reason: no suitable image found.
Looking at the missing files it's possible that it's missing from the OS. But start with re-installing iPhoto, and if that fails you'll ned to re-install the OS.
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only...’
