[5800] We really want VoIP/ToIP like E65

Loyal users of Nokia (1994), I advised proudly Nokia products to my knowledge.
Nokia does not seem interested in the satisfaction of its customers alleging that the operators are pushing.
I have a 5800 XpressMusic with SIP and Wifi, but not VoIP or ToIP.
And if we, CUSTOMERS, were in turn pressure on Nokia?
It remains, today, Monday 11 May 2009, 60 days for reactive Nokia VoIP SIP client and / or ToIP as it was for the E65, for example.
D-Day, I am compelled to spread the news that Nokia refuses to reinstate the customer VoIP / ToIP for reasons contrary to the interests of its customers (Newsgroups, Forums, Blogs broad audience). It seems obvious that I would score more Nokia and deter anyone who would be interested in a renewal and / or purchase of a new mobile phone.
Since Nokia seems to venter he invented in 5800 to counter the Apple iPhone is obviously as I walked towards an iPhone from Apple.
It is not useful to me about third-party solutions because the flexibility is not as interesting as if the customer VoIP / ToIP was incorporated into the interface of the phone. Yet it was so convenient to emmètre an Internet call from the call key!

Solved!
Go to Solution.

This is a user-to-user forum, we are all Nokia customers like you, if you want to get your message to Nokia you are better doing it directly since there is no guarantee that the right people will see it here. Lots of people start threads encouraging people so joiin up and demand something from Nokia, there is no evidence to suggest that polling here does any good.
When did Nokia say that they created the 5800 to counter the iPhone? Nokia began making touch-screen phones because this is a new technology that all phone manufacturers are beginning to adopt. The 5800 is a budget touch device, it is only press articles that hailed it as competition for the iPhone.
Newsgroups, blogs and forums are not necessarily the places to treat information as being accurate, since by their very nature they give opinions more than facts - have you seen any official information explaining why they stopped the SIP client or are you just quoting internet chatter? How do you know that it was done "for reasonscontrary to the interests of the customer", do you have access to the market research that large companies use to determine the direction of their product development?

I have had no need to download any of my movies to my Mac.  Which has been great.  However, I remember that I used to now have to do this... or did I?  I am just frustrated because I want to stream all this stuff vice haveing to waiting for it all to download fill up my Mac's HD and then just delete. Where is the bookmarks stored?
I Install the Firefox once again since I upgrade my computer.
And I try to move the bookmarks from the old computer to the new one.
But I can't find anyone of them.
Is there any folder just like "favourite" to store the html file?
I really want to find out the bookmarks because actually i can't remember all the website that are important to me~ URGENT!!!~THANKS~

You can move file named places.sqlite from your old profile to the new one. It contains bookmarks and browsing history.
Here's a knowledge base article about it: [[Recovering important data from an old profile]]
If you don't care about saving your current bookmarks, you can skip creating new profile (Firefox does it by itself at first run anyway).
I'd might suggest you to install addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2410/|Xmarks Bookmark and Password Sync]. It is a free web service which synchronizes bookmarks and (optionally) passwords with central server, and then to other computers, if you installed it on more. You may treat is as a backup too.

Watch the Apple Online Store’s refurb section for non-Retina 2012 models. The 2.9 GHz model is a very nice machine and there were some available within the past week. Check daily, because they go fast. I bought one last summer and I love it, but I am not playing games on it. B&H Photo still has some 2012 models, also.

It's hardly a downgrade to those of us who care about being able to upgrade our Macs ourselves if and when we need or want to do so. For me, having a FW800 port is also a consideration.

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
Do you have a credit card, or a different debit card that you could try (some are apparently still accepted in India) ?

  • For the average person what really is the point of the activity monitor app when all you really want to know is whether your mac is running at its best?

I have had my imac for nearly 18 months now,
It's okay, is the best I can say about it.
    It cost me around £800+
So recently (and foolishly!) I downloaded OS Mavericks when I was actually looking for a freebie word processor programme (I got Bean because it's simple like me.)
Now the point of all this is that Mavericks has new features like a redesigned Safari (But I ain't noticed any difference yet) and Imaps (Huh!) and Ibooks and Imovie or something.
So when you are oldish like me, you really don't want people to keep changing and introducing new stuff (most of which is pointless anyway) all the time; because it takes us old ***** a while to get used to the last "improvement."
So you try and get rid of all these new apps that you don't want and didn't ask for anyway,
and then you find out you can't, because they're an integral part of the new OS.
    Brilliant!
Then you find that Mail has to redo itself and this thing no longer works properly etc. and you start wishing you hadn't got up that morning...
So you try and get it all back the way it was..
    And you can't.
Because you don't have an external hard drive to use the Time machine back up facility.
So you get in touch with Apple Support and it's now nearly bedtime, but at least you feel like you might be gettin' somewhere.
You talk to the supportguy and suddenly you can't remember what the problem is and what your name is, and you're thinking you might as well order in a pizza seein' as you've drunk the last of the gin..."
Anyway the guy manages to keep his temper and you get some degree of order restored but the machine still seems "jumpy" so someone says to you
"Check out the Activity Monitor! That'll tell you if something's not working right."
So you do, but it doesn't.
Just a bunch of numbers and CPU stuff and User Idiot Input etc.
All you really want is some little box to pop up and say,
"Hey! yyyou've really ssscrewed things upppp-p here, old mmmmman!!. This programme is no longer functioning properly, that thing appears to frozen, and you just wiped half your saved photos of Aunt Jessie's 94th birthday celebration (the one's where she had her eyes open)..
Press here for a full maintenance overview and repair menu.."
By this time you are on the floor, your leg's got cramp and you really really need a pee.
But there ain't no maintenance programme, just an activity monitor app you can't make any sense out of, so you yank the **** power cord out of the socket and go to bed..
    So you try and

DVD-R media that is single layer has 4.3 GB formatted capacity.
DVD+R DL media has 7.8 GB formatted capacity.
DVD-R double sided has 4.3 GB on each side.

My location services in iPod Touch 5 is not working. Any help?? I really want to fix this issue.

You do have it turned on ins settings>Privacy, right?
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's database. You do not have to be connected to the network/router to use that router's location. Thus, it appears that the iPod can't see a nearby router that is in Apple's database. Apple continuously updated their database based on info they obtain from iPhones. No one has been able to find a way to inform Apple of a router or correct is location.
You can confirm that by going to place with a know located router like Starbucks or McDonalds

  • Really want to buy an IQ800 - but wait until Windows 7?

    Hi,
I REALLY want to buy a TouchSmart IQ800, but I was told to wait until Windows 7 comes out - that won't be for another 8 months!
I was also told that by that time, they probably will offer bigger CPU's, Memory, and Video Cards...
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

I've got the IQ810 TS, which is the United Kingdom version i presume, and have played with it so much despited being a novist with PC's, i can tell thats its a beauty to have one of these babies, and to retirate i'll call her my baby, its like a new toy or mobile phone you configure to a very satisfactory taste. I manager to creat a dual boot OS containing the Original Os that came from the manufacture, mirroring each other, reason is siimply to upgrade one of the OS to Window 7 whlie retainning the original sorfwares and drivers, my joy isn't just having the TS and what it potentially could do but the journey it took me to getting to where i am.
My advise would be, depending how urgently you like to have one, weigh the positive against the negative, having in mind when it come to computers, elctronics or TECHNOLOGY, its ALWAYS CHANGING, and as for window 7 RC if you decide to upgrade to, Window 7 will expire next year, by then MS would have released the window 7 for consumers to everyone.
Even with the wall mount i got as additional kit, i've left mine on a coffee table, better experience, accessiblity and conviences, to be honest i ffind it difficult to use anything smaller than a 25" screen or Window 7 with the multi touch, split screen for comparison, multimedia i.e t.v, 2D & 3D designs programs.
I think i've said enough, have fun like i did mate.......

No app on the iPod is required.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
    - Apple will do nothing without a court order

  • I really want to buy an album from the Australian iTunes, but I live in America

I really want to buy this album that is not on the American iTunes, I'm considering the option of setting up an account on the Aussie store, putting in my card (which would be American), and gifting the album to myself. Or if I must, I'd have to drain my $12USD in the American store... First world problems? :/
Any other suggestions or anyone willing to like... help? haha any input is appreciated.

The copyright holders don't like cross border sales. Not only would you need a to clear out your current credit, but you would also need a credit card attached to an Australian address and for your initial purchase you might even find that you need to be working form a computer physically located in Australia.

Apple will only give you a 10% discount if you turn that one in and purchase the new one.
I do not know if the WalMart warranty covers accidental damage like a broken screen.

  • What we really want

    Dear Appe,
I am an apple fan with macbook pro, ipad and iphone 5. I know I am not at the right page to give suggestion, but not sure where i can give my suggestions. Ther are many I have in mind but i think what I am really looking out for when I buy an ipad or any tablet, is something that looks exactly like an ipad but works exactly like a macbook air. in another words, what i really want is a tablet (means without a keyboard) but still works like a macbook. of course it will be a bonus if it could be smaller something between ipad and ipad mini.
Thank you for hearing me. I really still loves your product. =) keep up the good work
    Regards,
    Jeanne

I purchased Aperture 3 full version from Apple.  It is more than I need and really want.  Do you know if I can resell it or gift it to another person?  I have deleted from my Mac.  Essentially can I unregister it?   I really don't like it.

You can make a one-time transfer of the license (either as a gift or sale) if you are the original purchaser (which it sounds like you are).

Note - I am assuming you are referring to the boxed retail version. Make sure to take note of the paragraphs concerning 'NFR' (Not for Resale) and Academic versions as those are either not permitted or limited transfers.

  • Going off to college.. really want a macbook

The college I am going to this fall requires every student to purchase a notebook. My school currently has a contract with dell and gives its students a discount when purchasing one and the IT department also fixes your dell for you for free. This seems like the smart way to go but I really want a macbook because i love the OS and just style of apple. I currently have an apple iPhone and an iPod and am very satisfied with apple's products. I am wondering however if it is a good idea to risk my schools insurance policy on dell laptops and get a macbook. I am wondering how satisfied everyone is with their macs and if anyone has experienced a lot of problems with them.

    Greetings,
I have had one or more Apple computers, since the 1977 Apple II, for my personal and professional use. I currently own several Macs, including 2 MacBooks and have never had an issue of any kind, so far. I see a lot of posts for this and that, but none have ever affected my equipment, like I said, so far. They are used hard and put away wet most of the time, as I'm always on the go to meetings, lecturing, on site servicing, etc.
I have PeeCees as well, due to my Job as a Network Engineer, where we use both platforms and more, and I have always been grateful to have the Macs on my desk and console to help relieve the stress that the PeeCees tend to bring out in me.
The Mac is the way to go for a stress free smooth functioning environment to work and play in. I can't think of a thing that you can't do with a Mac, except for some of the games out there that are made for a PeeCee, only, but there are more and more out all the time for the Mac that look and play better than their counterpart in the PeeCee world.
The MacBook video card doesn' t lend itself to very many games, especially high end games, so if high end gaming is something you need to do, I'd consider the MacBook Pro as it is well equiped for most gaming.
If you need Office to be able to work with the PeeCees folks, currently there is Office for the Mac 2004, and the soon to be available Office 2008 - both by Microsoft for the Mac platform to be compatible with most of the world. Neo Office is pretty much compatible, as well, and it's free, but I'd go with the Office 2004 for Mac if it's at all economically possible.
Good Computing with your new Mac.
    Have Grand Day,
    M.
