5800 XM: Unable to access and sync with Outlook af...

I'm using:
1) Microsoft Outlook 2007
2) Windows XP
3) Nokia 5800 XpressMusic
Before I upgraded my PC Suite, everything worked well and I can sync my mobile phone with Outlook (Calender + Contacts + Notes). But after the upgrade, PC Suite can not access Outlook when I created settings in PC Sync. The error message window (titled: Microsoft Office Outlook Offline Folders) displays such an error: "File access is denied. You do not have the permission required to access the file C:\Documents and Settings\rogeli\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook0.ost.".
Browsed other posted threads in this forum and found a possible way to solve this problem (/discussions/board/message?board.id=pcsuite&message.id=35221&query.id=381777#M35221):
1. uninstall the PC Suite (A FIRST STEP THAT MUST BE FOLLOWED!!!!!!!!)
2. go to "start-->run-->regedit"
3. go to "edit-->find" and type "nokia"
4. start removing all the "nokia" related keys ( it takes around 30 minutes to erase them all.)
5. install the new PC suite 7.1
6. click "connection" and then "Bluetooth" (not USB cable)
7. reboot
I tried this procedure, but it still doesn't work.
Someone also suggested to use the pc suite cleaner from http://www.nokia-asia.com/get-support-and-software/download-software/nokia-pc-suites/how-to/nokia-pc... to do the same thing. I tried it too. No positive result.
Basically my bluetooth and USB connections are both working properly.
Anyone can help me?

BBQ and syncing with Outlook

I understand that OS 10.1 is due out within a month or 2.
Will it be able to sync with Outlook.
I understand it can now sync 1 way only ( which is useless!) with Outlook.
Has anyone read anything official from BB.

Outrageous is an understatement!!!
I will not upgrade until the 2 way syncing works!
How does one get a statement from BB as to this problem?
Technical Support at BB told me 10.1 "due out in a month" will sync 2 ways.
It just doesn't make sense!!

Ovi and syncing with Outlook stopped working after...

I recently upgraded to Ovi 2.2.1.23 and syncing of calendar and contacts stopped working.
The reason seem to be that when I try to connect to Outlook from the sync menu, Ovi freezes.
Everything was working fine before and I just upgraded Ovi, nothing else.
Any idea what to do? Ive tried to uinstall and reinstall Ovi but no change.

I too have this problem and I have Gmail and all my notes in my Gmail (on iPhone or iTouch) are not synched only those on my iPhone or iTouch.

Allow Army military soldiers to access and sync Enterprise Outlook content with their iOS device

There's millions of soldiers that's unable to check their enterprise email because it requires us to insert a CAC (Common Access Card) card reader. A CAC card is pretty much our military ID with a chip with all our information and access certificates.

There's many issues in the military about soldiers not being able to get the appropriate information because they cannot access their email at a moments notice. Sync with Outlook 07 on one computer and Palm Desktop on another?

Hi! Here goes...Can you set up a Palm Centro to sync with one computer with Outlook (07) and another with Palm Desktop? One computer is at home (Outlook) and the other is my work laptop which does not use Outlook at this point. I would like to sync regularly with both. Also....since my work might eventually switch to Outlook - can I change this syncing option at that point and sync with Outlook 03 on one computer and Outlook 07 on another?

Hello dcusuman and welcome to the Palm forums.
The answer to your questions is yes. You can sync your Centro to Microsoft Outlook 2007 on your home PC and then sync to Palm Desktop on your work issued computer. Later on, if your company switches to Microsoft Outlook 2003, you will be able to use a shortcut in your Palm program group to switch the Palm Desktop PIM conduits to the Outlook conduits.
I am going to assume that you are going to be using Palm Desktop 6.2 that comes bundled on the Centro software CD. If you do, there is no reason to download or install the Outlook 2007 conduit update from the Palm website. That update is intended for the older Palm Desktop 4.x and HotSync Manager 6.x.

Iphone 6 not syncing with outlook 2013 correctly

Just got the new iPhone 6 and syncing with outlook 2013 is not working. No contacts are coming over. Calendar comes over only partially. Music and apps work fine. The settings in itune are the same as with the old iPhone 4 but maybe there is some setting to change on the phone. I'm on a window 8.1 pc and not using icloud. Any suggestions are appreciated.

In Outlook 2013, I navigated to "People" and copied the contacts that I wanted to sync from the "Contacts" folder to the "Search Results" folder (<ctrl>+[drag and drop] to folder in left hand Folder pane).
iTunes then synchronised those contacts (only) fine.

It sounds like you have downloaded iTunes from the download site, but when you connect the phone to your computer you are prompted to update iTunes to 11.1. I would start by opening iTunes and then verifying the version that is running with this article:

On Windows
Open iTunes.
On the Help menu, click About iTunes. A window appears with scrolling text. The first text that appears displays the iTunes version (press the Space bar to freeze the text if it's moving too fast for you to read).
Also when you download the iTunes installer, you MUST double click the file that was downloaded to install it.
You can check in your Programs folder and try running the iTunes application from there to see if that works.

HT4759 Apple Engineering has been unable to solve "Error 0x80040604". It has been 9 calendar days. I cannot sync with Outlook with contacts and calendar. I see where others are having same problem. Is there a solution?

Has any of the Error 0x80040604 problems been solved? The onlt response I get is"Apple Engineers are working on it" I am dealing with a Senior Tech. Should I go to someone higher?
The sync with Outlook contacts abd Calendar was working well for 6 months. I have iphone4 and mini ipad connected to the iCloud.. My " bandaid "is to only use the iphone 4 for contacts and calendar events.
Is their another Cloud I can use?

FYI - Blackberry cannot sync to Outlook if Outlook is in "Click to Run" mode. Follow the link below for instructions on how to install a full version of Office 2010.

On his phone, sign in Settings>iCloud and enable Mail so that he can have his own email address. Then add your account in Settings>Mail, Contacts & Calendars and enable Contacts and Calendars. They will then appear on his phone alongside any syncing he has set up. This will keep your emails separate, or you can add Mail as well so that you can both access that if you want. You can add his account in the same way on your phone and enable any data types you want to sync.

iPhone 5, Macs and iPads at home, Windoze7 system at work.
Using iCloud to sync calendars, contacts, etc on all the home devices. Used USB cable to sync at work with the Windows system, with the Outlook 2010 corporate account (corporate server). I need only the Outlook calendar to be synced, syncing the contacts created too many problems with duplication, etc. No need for that. Worked fine until the latest upgrate to iOS7 and iTunes 11.1. Used to have a calendar that was not on iCloud and was simply and exclusively syncing between the iPhone and the Windows computer at work. The other 3 calendars synced fine with the macs and iOS devices via iCloud but not with the machine at work - keeping private records private.
Upon the iOS upgrade, all calendars are now on iCloud. I am no longer able to remove one - for security too - from the iCloud and sync it with the Windows computer exclusively. I managed to sync it once on the PC with iTunes by switching iCloud off on the iPhone before connection by USB cable. Trying it again, it tells me that it will erase all items on the Outlook account (the "more than 25% of your records are going to change" alert) and won't add or modify any. I stopped the sync in time...
Tried on the iCloud site for a solution to remove the calendar, nothing.
There is no iCloud setup on this corporate computer - no access permitted. The USB cable connection is the only solution and up to the upgrade of the iOS this went seamlessly.
Any solution out there?

I share a similar situation (usb iTunes sync with Outlook with my corporate laptop; personal calendar on icloud).
With IOS7, at first, iTunes/Windows does not propose Outlook sync anymore. I need to switch off calendar from iTunes to enable usual usb sync with Outlook. I had to sync it twice while checking "replace iphone data" to get a stable behaviour (like before) IOS7.When I try to re-enable icloud calendars, it proposes me to merge them...
I did not test merging so far...
IOS7 and iTunes 11.1 are not completely polished ;-)

I had a problem with a 5.0.3 project that would cause 5.0.4 to crash. Apple asked for a copy of the project and later told me it was because there were some empty text layers. Apple is aware of the issue and is working on a fix.
In my case I still had 5.0.3 on another Mac and could clean up the project. If empty text layers might be the problem, do you know someone with an earlier version who could open it and remove the empty layers? I'd be willing to give it a try if you'd want to send me the project.
